Annabeth's POV

I finished getting ready as I slipped a sea blue dress over my sea green bathing suit. I tied my hair up with an ornamental flower. I just finished my hair when a knock on my cabin door echoed in the empty space. Since it was Febuary, there weren't many campers left but both Percy and I decided to stay at Camp for a while, as did the other Seven but they all had dates right now.

I opened the door to find Percy standing there dressed handsomely in a black shirt and dark blue swimming shorts. He had a denim jacket thrown over his shoulder with with a large bouquet of blue flowers in his other hand. I recognized all the flowers in the bouquet, Blue Himalayan Poppies, Grape Hyacinths, a few Annual Cornflowers, Morning Glories, Delphiniums, and lastly the small blue Gentians.

"Oh, Percy!" I gasped as he handed me the bouquet. I fingered the flowers and studied the range of blue hues and shades. They were absolutely gorgeous. I looked up at Percy who was watching me tenderly. "Thank you." I leaned up and gave him a quick kiss.

"Shall we?" He asked, holding his arm out for me and grinning. I took it and he led me down toward the beach where a picnic blanket was set with food. Around the perimeter were gray candles flickering with light. I noticed immediately that they made a heart shape around the blanket.

I sat down in the soft blanket as Percy took out a few messily made sandwiches. I raised an eyebrow at him as he took out a bottle of something sparkling.

"Is that... Wine?" I asked hesitantly as he took out two fragile wine glasses.

Percy chuckled. "Nothing of that sort. Calm down Annie, it's just Sparkling Cider."

"Oh."

We leaned into each other and watched as the sun went down slowly over Long Island Sound, turning the sea gold with its rays. We snacked on the sandwiches and sipped the cider until the sun finally dissappeared into the sea, leaving us in the shadows of twilight.

After a few minutes of laughing and talking with him, Percy asked me a question.

"Do you like it?"

"Of course I do Percy! It's wonderful." Percy looked satisfied with my answer as he wrapped an arm around me.

"Do you want to go swim while it's still warm?" I asked him.

"Sure." He answered me. He removed his shirt and I found my eyes trailing over the many scars littering his body. The Fates might have healed his injuries but those scars would never fade.

"Like what you see?" Percy joked when he noticed me gazing at his torso. I blushed and looked away as I pulled my dress over my head, leaving me standing there in my sea green and gray onepiece.

"I like your choice of colors." Percy complimented me.

"Thanks!" I took his hand and we raced into the cold ocean. I waited for a ten seconds for his legs to transform but they didn't. "Percy what happened to your tail?"

"Hmm? Oh, Poseidon let me control when I want my tail to appear."

"That's nice of him," I said though I was kind of dissapointed. I wanted to see Percy's tail. Percy led me deeper into the water until I was treading water to keep afloat. Percy and I delved underneath the waves.

After making a bubble of air for me, Percy led me to an underwater cave. Though the water seemed cold, it didn't affect me as much I thought it would.

"Percy, what is this place?"

"Our new secret hide out!" He said proudly and I laughed. After spending an hour with Percy exploring the cave and playing hide and seek, we decided to go swim some more.

When we finally broke the surface, I asked him, "Percy why aren't you using your tail?"

He froze. "Percy?" He looked sad and unsure.

"I thought... Well I thought you wouldn't like me anymore if I was a constant merman, you know?"

I reached up to stroke his face. "I don't like you, I love you. And I could care less if you had a tail or not." I felt Percy's legs below me shift and elongate, turning into sea green scales. I wrapped my arms around him, "Now this is you, Percy. You shouldn't hide that."

"Annabeth," He whsipered tenderly. "I love you, I really do. I want to spend my whole life with you, only if you would let me." Percy opened his palm and in his hand lay the most beautiful ring ever.

I gasped tears shining in my eyes. I reached toward the ring, still trying to stay afloat. I felt water hold me up, Percy. I fingered the sea green horse and magnificent owl. "Yes, Percy! Yes!" I crashed my lips onto his. I ran my fingers through his wet hair and wrapped my legs around his tail.

After we broke apart, I suddenly had a great idea. I leaned forward to whsiper it into Percy's ear and his eyes widened.

"Annabeth, are you sure? After you change you can't ever take it away!"

"I'm sure Percy, I'm sure." I smiled confidently.

I'm bad at writing these chapters. I like more action type of stuff but Percy and Annabeth need a happy ending and a happy ending they shall get! What is Annabeth talking about though? You'll just have to wait and see!! Oh, btw Happy Thanksgiving to those that celebrate it! If you don't, Have a Good Day/Night! I'm sorry this was kind of short. I'm just wrapping up my story now!! I'm so excited!! K, Baii!!

P.S. Hope you like the new cover! It's much better than the old one I think.
