Natsu (POV)
I'm still running and I hear Happy and Mandy wake up.
Happy- Natsu....
Mandy- When did you get here?
Natsu- Don't talk. You gotta try and rest up alright.
Mandy- But Jellal is back.
Natsu- Yeah I know but don't you worry. I'm gonna finish what Seth started and make sure he doesn't stick around for long.
???- Natsu!
I stop dead in my tracks.
Natsu- The heck?
Happy- What's wrong? Why'd you stop?
???- Can you hear me?
Natsu- This tree is talking to me.
???- Can you hear me Natsu?
Natsu- Yea Great tree.
???- Great What? This Hibiki from Blue Pegasus. Anyway, I'm glad I could reach you. No else has responded so far.
Natsu- You're a ventriloquist?
Hibiki (telepathic)- Would you knock it off and keep your voice down. The enemy has scouts throughout the Woodsea. There's no telling who might be listening in on us. That's why I'm speaking directly into your head. Pretty neat huh? What's your status? Have you found Wendy and the cats?
Natsu- They're all right here. Wendy's unconscious but Happy and Mandy just woke up.
Hibiki (telepathic) That's wonderful. Now hang tight. I'm gonna upload a map into your mind that will lead you straight to the temporary camp we've set up. I was gonna send it to the cat too but I can't seem to make a connection. He must be running low on magic power.
Natsu- Hold on. What is this upload stuff. Stay outta my head.
The map gets uploaded into my head and I start running again.
Happy- Natsu I think it's time for you to see professional help.
Mandy- Seriously. And I thought Seth was crazy.
Natsu- Not now guys. I have to follow this map inside my brain. Wow, I can even see where Seth is. This stuff is cool. Thanks Great tree I mean Hibiki.
Mandy- And he has officially gone off the deep end.
Erza (POV)
Hibiki- Please hurry. We don't exactly have the luxury of time right now.
Seth's condition continues to worsen as the poison has spread into his lower abdomen and his temperature is beginning to drop slowly.
Lucy- Hey, I don't understand how Natsu knew exactly where to go.
Hibiki- I sent him our location using Archive's information compression magic. It packages the information so it can be transmitted and shared much faster than it can be verbally.
Erza- I had no idea that was a thing.
Hibiki- Magically transmitting and converting information like this is a fairly new concept so I wouldn't expect you to know.
Lucy- Wow that's really impressive.
I look back down at Seth and gently cup his face.
Erza- Did you hear that Seth? Wendy is gonna be here soon. Just hang on a little bit longer for me okay? I've got your back and I will protect you for the rest of my days. That I promise to you. (Feels his forehead) You're getting cold. I shall warm you up.
I spawn a big blank and requip into nothing but my undergarments and I get under the blanket and cuddle up with Seth. I look at Lucy who's jaw is dropped and Hibiki is just smirking.
Erza- The Hell you smiling for Hibiki? Don't you have some work to get back to?
Hibiki- Sorry. I didn't mean anything by it. It's just nice to see such bright a light in this darkness.
Lucy- Umm Erza, I get that you're trying to help Seth as much as you can but was getting almost naked really that necessary?
Erza- Yes. I must share my body heat to warm him up and besides, I couldn't go completely naked because I want him awake when he sees me like that.
Lucy- Talk about being blunt.......so you do like Seth after all huh?
Erza-.........I do but (Sigh) Things are complicated.
Lucy- How so?
Erza- Ever since the Jellal incident, he's been popping up in my head a lot more than usual. I just have this gut feeling that he's alive somewhere. Hopefully getting the help he deserves. You know I loved the man once upon a time and half of me still does. That's why I say it's complicated because I have to choose between Seth and Jellal and I don't know what to do.
Lucy-.........Well, I'm no love expert but what I can say is that when the time comes, you'll know what to do.
Erza- Thank you.......sister......
Lucy- Uh no problem sister. Haha.
Timeskip
Brain (POV)
I finally crawled out of the hole Jellal blasted me into. There's a telepathic sign in my head suddenly.
Brain- Racer has been struck down. That's impossible. How could one of the Oracion Seis be defeated like this? No, it seems I've underestimated our adversaries. I never imagined I would be forced to send him. Wake up Midnight.
Midnight sits up and opens his eyes.
Brain- You have work to do. Find our foes and toss them into your nightmare.
Midnight- (stands up) Yes......father.
