A/n: This is an one-shot of when B.A. found Amber. Her theme song is included above. Enjoy!

"Go to the store, they said. It'll be fun, they said." B.A. huffs as he parks the van. "I'm going to 'it'll be fun, they said' Face's face when I get back." The man steps out of the van and starts toward the store. Hannibal had given him an entire list of items that they needed. B.A. knew he ate a lot, but not the rest of the team. As long as he got his milk, B.A. really didn't care.

B.A. jumps back as a little girl in a red dress bursts out of the store, almost running into him. One of the store employees appear a moment later.

"Hey, stop that girl!" The employee shouts. B.A. runs after the girl. He easily manages to catch up to her and gently grabs her by the back of her dress, stopping her.

"Lemme go!" She screams, wriggling in B.A.'s grasp.

"Woah, hang on, kid. I'm trying to help." B.A. spins the girl to face him. The girl was a mess. Her red dress was in tatters, hanging from her small frame, and her hair was tangled and matted. Her skin was covered in dirt, but her blue eyes sparkled as she looks up at him. She couldn't be more than 8. B.A. notices the small bag of apples in her arms.

"It's not nice to steal, you know?" B.A. says. The girl nods softly. "I'm guessing you're pretty hungry." Another nod. B.A. smiles. "Come on. Let's go back to the store and pay for your apples. Then you can come with me and we'll get you cleaned up."

"Please explain it again." B.A. sighs at Hannibal, retelling the story. He glances over at Amber a couple times, who

sat quietly at the table, occasionally popping a grape into her mouth. Murdock busied himself with brushing out her hair, chattering away.

B.A. had managed to get Amber to talk a little, enough to learn her name and where her parents were. The poor girl had been living on the streets since she was little, having no idea of where her parents were currently. B.A. had guessed it when he first laid eyes on her, and she had confirmed it, as well as her being 7 years-old. Once they had arrived at the team's hangout, B.A. had immediately sent her to the shower. While she was cleaning up, he explained her story to the team, cutting down some of Murdock's old clothes as well. The girl now wore one of Murdock's old Beatles shirt and a pair of shortie shorts that Face lent to B.A., not upon first request, mind you.

"That's interesting." Hannibal states after B.A. finished Amber's story for the second time.

"More like sad. She's been by herself all these years. I know what that's like." Face says.

"She needs help, Hannibal. Our help." B.A. says.

"Alright, B.A., alright." Hannibal replies, pulling a cigar out. "She'll stay with us. She's got nowhere else to go."

"Thanks, Hannibal." B.A. smiles.

"You're welcome, Sergeant." Hannibal grins. "Besides, Murdock's got a friend so he wouldn't annoy you as much."

"And voila!" Murdock exclaims.

"B.A.! Look!" Amber smiles, pointing at her hair. B.A. was actually impressed. Murdock had pulled half of Amber's hair up into a bun, and left the lower half down.

"Great job, Murdock!" Hannibal comments as B.A. walks over and picks Amber up.

"Uh, Murdock, do you think my hair could do that?" Face asks jokingly.

"I dunno, Faceman, but we can find out." Murdock smiles, holding up the brush and stalking toward Face.

"No, no, I was just kidding...Murdock, wait!" Face runs out of the room with Murdock in his heels. Amber rolls with laughter at their antics.

"You're going to have to get used to that. You're going to be staying with us now." B.A. says, looking down at the girl.

"I get to stay with you?" Amber questions, eyes wide with disbelief.

"Yes, you do." B.A. smiles. "And I'm going to make this place your home. I promise."
