cries and small screams filled the room, as a baby squirmed uncomfortably in her mother's arms. that child, was marina. she had fair brown skin, and a bit of black hair was starting to grow in. after a few seconds of the small child crying, her eyes opened, showing dark brown eyes, full of life. her crying slowly stopped, after getting a few comforting words, which she could barely understand, but calmed down neverless. "hi, princess....welcome to the world..." her mother, jasmine harrison, whispered to the baby, smiling gently, her eyes filled with tears. "i'm so sorry you'll have to experience what i have to experience...." she mumbled, kissing the child's head.

as the door opened, jasmine gasped, holding marina closer to her chest, as her husband, william harrison walked into the room, walking twoards the bed, sitting down. "let me see her." he demanded after a second of silence, making the woman flinch. "sh-she needs to be fed william, i-i'll let you hold her when-" "i said, let me hold her." the male grabbed the woman's hair, making her whimper, nodding gently, as she handed the baby to him. as william looked at the child, marina looked overall terrified, but she didn't cry. she just sat there, avoiding the man's eye contact. "she'll make the perfect woman. unlike you." william spoke up, not looking up at the mother, who bit down on her lip, looking away.

as the male handed the baby back to the woman (a bit harshly to add), he stood, looking back at the woman with a glare, before walking out the door, closing it softly. jasmine sighed shakily, running a hand through her hair. "i'm so sorry baby....i promise, thing's will be better soon." she whispered, kissing the child's head, and singing to the girl gently.

"let's go in the garden. you'll find something waiting. right there where you left it, laying upside down...when you finally find it, you'll see how it's faded. the underside is lighter, when you turn it around."

marina looked around as her mother sang to her, after a while, closing my eyes.
