Yoongi sat on his couch watching tv when he heard his doorbell ring.

He got up off the couch, smiling to himself as he opened the door. Hoseok was right on time.

"Hey Yoongi!"

Yoongi couldn't contain his smile. "Hey Hoseok. Come on in!"

Hoseok slipped his shoes off before walking into Yoongi's kitchen. "It's nice to see you again," Hoseok said quietly, but still loud enough for Yoongi to hear.

Yoongi smiled to himself. "I agree. Want anything to drink?" Hoseok shook his head.

••••••

"So all you do is take the number that you got from this equation and plug it in for y, and then solve that. What do you get for x after doing that?" Hoseok leaned back slightly in his chair.

"X equals 24?" Yoongi raised his eyebrows, eyeing Hoseok to see if he got it correct. He watched as the other's lips formed a heart.

"Correct."

"You have got to be kidding me! That was so freaking easy!"

Hoseok laughed. Yoongi felt his stomach fluttering. "I'm glad that you're starting to understand it! It's really not as bad as you thought, right?"

Yoongi shook his head. "It still sucks ass but I think you make it better." He smirked at the younger, who had an obvious pink flush on his cheeks.

Hoseok laughed nervously. "Why don't we try a few more, just to make sure that you have a good handle on it?"

Yoongi nodded.

After a few more problems, Yoongi couldn't help but be proud of himself. It all made sense to him now.

"Hoseok, you're incredible. A week ago I had no idea what I was doing but now I can do it without even having to think about it! Fuck, I am so happy I could kiss you." Yoongi blurted, and then covered his mouth in astonishment. "Please tell me I did not say that out loud."

"Oh, you said it out loud, hyung." Hoseok was smiling again. Fuck. Stop smiling at me. I can't help myself when you do that. "Although," Hoseok continued. "I wouldn't mind if you kissed me, even if it was just out of happiness."

Yoongi had frozen, unsure what to do.

Yoongi thought about this moment as his lips were pressed against Hoseok's. It had been a few weeks since that night, and he had dreamt of this moment. He never thought he would actually do it, or that Hoseok would be kissing him back. Hoseok's hands were in Yoongi's hair, and the older had one hand on the back of the younger's neck, and the other was around his waist, both keeping him close.

When they finally broke off for air, Hoseok rested his forehead on Yoongi's. "I've been waiting for that to happen since you said you wanted to kiss me."

Yoongi couldn't help but laugh nervously at the fact that Hoseok was referring to the same moment Yoongi was. "Me too, Hoseokie." The older pulled his head away slightly, loosening his grip on Hoseok. "I, um, feel like I should be honest about some stuff though. Did you want to come over when you get off?"

Hoseok's eyes glazed over. "Uh, yeah, sure. I have maybe another hour left in my shift." Yoongi nodded before waving goodbye and walking back to his apartment, his coffee long forgotten and no longer needed. Hoseok had given him all the energy he needed.

•••

Hoseok untied the apron from his waist, placing it on the hook by the back door. He felt butterflies in his stomach. Yoongi had had a weird look on his face when he left, claiming that they needed to talk. It made Hoseok nervous and antsy for the rest of his shift. He waved goodbye to Jin, who was taking his shift over, before starting the walk around the block to Yoongi's apartment.

Hoseok knocked timidly on the door, his hands shaking. He waited for a bit before the door was thrown open, showing a rough looking Yoongi. His hair was disheveled. Hoseok finally noticed the bags under his eyes, and his eyes were a little red and puffy. The older motioned for him to enter, and he did.

Yoongi led them to his living room, sitting on the couch. Hoseok waited for the older to start talking, fiddling with his hands, a nervous habit he had developed after his father's passing.

After a few minutes of complete silence, Yoongi spoke softly. "Hoseok, I need to be completely honest about me."

"Okay? About what?" Hoseok's throat and lips felt dry.

Yoongi sighed. "Before I moved to Seoul, I lived in Daegu. I had a mother and a father, as well as a sister. My family were very traditional, meaning they didn't believe in things such as homosexuality."

Hoseok swallowed hard, before nodding, acknowledging to the older to continue.

"We were a happy family. Until a few years ago. My sister, she was the favorite child. She made good grades, didn't hang out with the wrong group of people. Didn't question her sexuality." He said it bluntly. "One day my parents asked me to run to the store and grab some stuff for dinner. I decided that I wanted to continue to talk to my friends on the phone, so I told my sister to go. She went, of course, because she was incredible. You see, in order to get to the store, you had to cross over some railroad tracks."

Yoongi's eyes started to water. Hoseok reached his hands out, gripping onto the older's tightly. Yoongi gave a weak smile in thanks. "After she left, I realized I had forgotten to give her the money from our mom, so I ran outside to give it to her. Her shoelace was stuck to the train tracks, and there was a train coming. I froze. I didn't know what to do. I fucking froze. I watched as the train hit my sister, before losing traction on the rails and crashing. There were a ton of people on that train, and many of them died. All because of me."

Hoseok's eyes stung with tears. "Yoongi, it wasn't entirely your fault, and you should know that. There is nobody at fault for the accident. Accidents happen." Hoseok couldn't stop the pain in his heart though. He knew of that train accident. His father had been on that train.

"You really think I'm not at fault for all of those deaths? There were parents and children on that train." Yoongi's sobs were getting louder.

Hoseok put a hand on the older's cheek. "I know there were parents and children on that train."

Yoongi's eyes flashed toward Hoseok. "What? How do you know?"

Hoseok took a deep breath. "Because my father was on that train."

That only made Yoongi cry even more. He was in a ball on the couch, shaking. "Oh my God I killed your father. Hoseok I'm so sorry. I've hated myself every day since. God, I always fuck things up. I'm so sorry, I'm so sorry, I'm so sorry." He kept repeating the same thing over and over.

"Yoongi. Listen to me." Hoseok demanded. Yoongi's eyes met his. "That accident was not your fault."

"It was! It was because my sister was on the tracks and I was supposed to be there instead of her!"

Hoseok shook his hands. He winced at the Yoongi's grip on his hands. "Listen. My father texted my mom from that train. He said the train had been hijacked. They weren't even supposed to be in Daegu. The hijacker caused the whole accident, not you."

Yoongi's sobs got even louder, which Hoseok couldn't believe was possible. He wrapped his arms around the older, letting him cry into his shoulder. Hoseok's shirt quickly became wet with his tears.

Yoongi cried himself out pretty quickly, but he just sat there in Hoseok's arms. He enjoyed feeling his arms around him. He took in the younger's scent, smelling like coffee and vanilla. It called him down enough to speak in a steady voice. He pulled back from Hoseok's arms.

"Thank you, Hoseokie."

Hoseok smiled softly in return. "You're welcome, Yoongs."

"And I, um, am sorry about your father. I didn't know."

Hoseok shrugged. "I miss him a lot, but it was just his time to go I guess. I just wish he was still here. His death is what caused me to quit dance."

Yoongi's eyes went wide. "He's the reason?" Hoseok nodded. "Hoseokie, I'm sure he would love for you to continue your dream. You should dance again. Even if it's just one more time."

Hoseok's eyes lit up, making Yoongi realize just how dark his eyes had been since they first met. He had always assumed that Hoseok was happy, and that he didn't have any trouble. But seeing his eyes light up in that moment, Yoongi felt a whole new sensation come over him. He slammed his lips onto Hoseok's, wrapping his arms around his neck.

Yoongi felt Hoseok smile into the kiss, but he broke it off after a few seconds. "Yoongs, what are we doing?"

"What do you mean?"

"I know that you're in Jungkook's group. He would kill you if he found out that you kissed a guy. He would be even more pissed when he realizes that it's not even a popular or cool guy, just the math nerd that sits in the front of the classroom."

Yoongi shook his head quickly. "Hoseokie, no. I don't care about what Jungkook thinks. We've been there for each other for so many years. I have stuck with him out of loyalty, and I would hope he would do the same for me."

Hoseok pursed his lips. "I don't want your relationship with your best friend ruined because of a useless nobody like me."

"I don't think you're useless or a nobody."

The younger sniffled. "Thanks, Yoongs." He wiped at his eyes.

"I was wondering if you would like to maybe grab dinner sometime?" Yoongi averted his eyes, rubbing the back of his neck.

Hoseok laughed. "Are you asking me out on a date, Min Yoongi?"

The older was surprised at Hoseok's boldness. "Y-yes?"

Hoseok put his hand on Yoongi's. "I would love to."

This chapter has taken me like a day to write cause I've been busy and I couldn't figure out what I wanted to happen, so it's kind of rough but hopefully it is still enjoyable.
