-Written in Kayano's POV-

I walked in the school building. A nervous feeling crept through my body.

I got this, I thought.

The floorboards creaked with every step I took. I walked into the classroom feeling a little confident, but mostly scared. When I walked in, my eyes averted to a bluenette with a long ponytail.

I had to do something. Anything. I decided to talk. But the bluenette took that action before I did.

"Oh, you're, uh.."

"Hey. I'm the new transfer student."

Silence made this situation tense, no kidding. I broke the silence by commenting on his hair, for some reason.

"Your hair's awfully long."

It took a while for that statement to sink in my head.

Wait, what did I say?

"Dang it. Now what is he going to think of you?" my mind told me.

I cleared my mind once the bluenette talked again.

"Yeah... I kinda wanna get it cut, but stuff happened, and I can't..."

I can solve that, I thought.

In quick succession, I took out two black hair ties, and tied his hair into pigtails similar to mine. When I was done, I stepped back a little and gave him some time to admire his new hairsyle. I could tell he was speechless.

"Look! Same as me! I'm Kayano Kaede. Nice to meet you!"

In my mind, I knew this was the start of our friendship.

Because... why wouldn't it be?

So yeah, this is more of an intro to the story. It's more friendship-like than romantic.
