What's worse than being trapped in a room with someone you completely despise? Well, to Draco Malfoy, that would be trapped in a room with someone that you not only despise completely, but also was filled with, unfortunately, cake. And for Draco Malfoy, that person was none other than Hermonie Granger.

Though, it wouldn't take an idiot to tell that Hermonie wasn't completely engrossed in their predicament either. A result of a prank gone wrong, Hermonie and Draco had found themselves stuck in a room (at the fault of Fred and George), with a sea of cakes that, as a result, held their future.

On a note written by the troubling boys, the whole thing was supposed to be a prank for Harry so he could test their new idea for a product: cake that would make the consumer reveal any ten facts asked about them. Once they had seen that instead of Harry, it was Hermonie (Draco had been napping in the back at the time), they promised to rescue them as soon as possible, and to not touch the cake.

The frosting covered treat, despite looking and tasting completely normal, held a dark secret: instead of making the consumer tell the truth, it instead slowly poisoned the consumer in question, and would kill them in thirty minutes. To make Harry try the cakes, they placed the key in one of the many cakes, would could only be revealed by biting into them (thinking slightly ahead into their prank, they place a camera and microphone in the room, to ask Harry questions).

The twins told Hermonie (and Draco) that they would get them out 'soon', but soon could be in two minutes or two hours. Refusing to communicate, Hermonie and Draco both knew their options were limited: They could either eat the cakes and try to pick right, or sit there and not only socialize with one another, but have the future of possibly being driven to madness, only to eat the cakes anyway.

Draco, slightly after this, had begun to pace the room, searching desperately for another way out. The Slytherin refused to give up his pride, his honor, his manhood, and his common sense, to work with the mudblood of a Gryffindor. What would his house say if they ever found out? His mother? Or worse yet, his father or... or even Potter! Draco would rather lose all of his money than do something like that. He weighed the statistics he remembered from Potions about poisons in his head. If it took a half hour to kill the consumer, then only one of them would need to eat the cake. The other one could live... the only remaining question left was.... was Draco willing to do that for a mudblood like Granger? She, unlike him, had two loving friends, and parents, to go back to.

Draco took a deep breath, and swallowed a big bite, closing his eyes and refusing to see Fate's lucky turnabout.

Wake up.
