"Are you guys ready for the 2 challenges of the day?" We all cheer and clap our hands in anticipation. "For day 2 we'll be mixing things up. No more teams, but the girls are competing for the five spots and the guys will be competing for 5 spots and the last guy and girl will be out. Today's challenge is the survival course, and there is a little surprise coming up at the end of the day."

We make our way to the starting line and the girls are called up first. I look towards Isabella and grab her hand pulling her towards the starting line. We are all standing in front of the obstacle course ready to start. The countdown begins and in the blink of an eye, everyone is running toward the obstacles.

I fall into the sand, and leopard crawl under the net with Sara and Isabella just ahead of me. Next up is a wooden wall with three ropes tied to the top, I use all the strength I have to pull myself up. My feet start slipping against the sand-covered wood. I make it just in time grabbing the top of the wooden wall before my foot slips entirely and pulling myself over. A tire lays in front of me and I see Isabella pulling hers through the sand. Daphne jumps down next to me from the wall and grabs her tire dragging it to the flag about 20 feet away.

I grab mine putting it on its side rolling it just as I pass Daphne and then dragging it to the flag. "First place is Sara with Isabella in second." The judge shouts into the microphone. I bolt for the finish line. Daphne is hot on my heels. "Go, Natalie!" I hear Percy shout and I feel my legs gain more momentum. "Third we have Natalie and fourth Daphne."

My lungs finally filled with air. I take a seat on the floor next to Isabella "In last place Valerie. Sorry Gina that means you're out of the game."

The girls and I take a seat under the tree as the guys start lining up for their turn on the course. I feel my chest still burning from the challenge.

The boys start in a flash and instantly Grayson and Percy are in the lead, they crawl through the net like we did and I see Landon catching up to them. They run to the wall jumping up to grab the rope. Percy slips and my breath catches in my throat. "Come on Percy you can do this," I scream at him. They had no problem with lifting the tires like we did and simply picked them up running towards the flag. "In the first place, we have a tie with Grayson and Percy with Landon in second place." The last three make their way over "Third we have Brad and lastly Lukas which means Chad is out of the game."

We join our partners and realise that Daphne and Landon don't have partners anymore. Confused we all look toward the judge. He starts laughing "Oh right I forgot to tell you guys the surprise. It's time to swap partners."

I look towards Grayson my eyes almost falling out of their sockets. He looks at me with the same shocked expression. I raise my hand "Um... we didn't sign up for that." The judge looks at me "We know but this keeps it interesting, but don't worry you get to choose your partner. They just can't be the same one you had."

I look around panic striking me instantly. "We will be choosing them based on the girls' scores. So the ladies can choose who they want."

"Sara?" He asks "I want Landon."

"Isabella?" she looks at me with a smile "I want Grayson."

"Natalie?" I look towards Percy who is looking at me. "Percy."

"Daphne?" She sighs "Lukas?"

"Valerie that means you're left with Brad." Valerie gives a tight smile before walking over to where Brad is standing.

"Well, I hope everyone is happy with their choices as you will be stuck with them for the rest of these challenges. We'll be seeing you all later for your next challenge." The judge walks off of the beach leaving us there with our new partners.

Grayson and Isabella walk towards me with Percy right behind them. Grayson pulls me into a tight hug "Thank you." I squeeze him before letting him and Isabella walk away. "What was that about?" Percy asks as he reaches me. "I'm just helping out love." His eyebrow shoots up. "Grayson still loves Isabella. I figured, that I'd help get them back together." He smiles at me. "Let's go do something." He grabs my hand pulling me towards the boardwalk.

"Like what?" I giggle behind him. "That's what we're going to figure out."

"Wait, Percy. What about the challenge?"

"We'll be back in time, I promise." He smiles and we quickly make our way to the carnival at the end of the boardwalk.

Walking in we instantly speed over to the nearest food vendor and buy ourselves burgers and milkshakes, we walk over to the bench and take a seat. "So you did pretty well today." I turn my head to Percy "You too. Even if you did slip."

"Hey, you slipped too don't think I didn't see you." I laugh, nodding my head "Why do you always have to see my clumsy moments?"

"Well, I'm always with you."

"Yeah, that's true," I reply.

"Is it a bad thing? That we're always together?" He asks.

"Never." I smile "Come on."

"We didn't even finish these." He says holding onto his burger for dear life.

"Come on loser." He gives out a defeated huff taking one more bite out of his burger and then apologizing to it before throwing it into the bag.

I walk over to the Ferris wheel, looking back to see if Percy is behind me. We make our way to the queue. I look up at the sky and see the bright pink sky. The sun is just about to set.

We make our way onto the Ferris wheel and slowly start moving. "Really? I had to stop eating for this?" My mouth falls open "Um... yes you know this is my favourite." The wheel slowly starts to rise to the top before it comes to a stop. The lights fade out until the whole wheel is standing still.

"We're having some technical difficulties." Someone shouts from the bottom. My mind starts racing "Percy?"

"You're fine. We're fine. They'll fix it." I nod "Just look at the sunset okay ignore this."

"We're going to miss the challenge." Percy laughs at my statement. "We're stuck and you're freaking out about the challenge. It's probably going to be some dumb challenge like in the TV shows."

"Well, it's important." I cross my arms.

"Um... can I ask you something?" He rubs his neck. His little nervous habit.

"Sure." The lights on the Ferris wheel turn on and with a rumble, we start moving again. "Yes, we can make it to the challenge!"

I take one last look at the setting sun and stand up facing the door to get out. "Sorry, you were going to say something?"

"Don't worry about it." He gives me a small smile.

Our cart stops and we both quickly climb out running. "Come on!" He shouts in front of me "I'm going as fast as I can!" I shout back. He turns around running straight for me. "Get on my back." I laugh "What no."

"Well sorry then." I look at him confused in a second he throws me over his shoulder running as fast as we can to the beach.

"Put me down!"

"We're almost there give me a second." I giggle as I watch the people look at us concerned. We reach the beach and everyone is already standing around the stage, between the lamps and the judge on the stage. Percy puts me down in the middle of the crowd.

"Well since everyone is here we can finally begin. So for tonight's challenge, the last couple standing will win. You will be dancing and the last couple standing will each receive a pass for tomorrow's challenge. So grab your partners and start dancing"

They play Dean Lewis "7 minutes" and Percy offers me his hand making me giggle as I grab it. "This isn't awkward at all," I state sarcastically. "Oh not at all. Why not step a little closer." He smirks before pulling me into him. My other hand pushes against his chest as he holds me around my waist. "Better?"

A blush creeps onto my cheeks "yep..." I squeak out. He snorts out a laugh "I can move if you want?"

"Oh no, it's fine." He drops his gaze from my eyes "You sure?"

I bite my bottom lip letting it slip through my teeth. "Totally." He pushes me out and twirls me back into his arms. "Okay if you say so."

I rest my head on his shoulder as we sway side to side with the music. My eyes closed, suddenly felt the weight of his chin resting on my head and peace in my heart.

"I don't think I can dance any longer." I groan my forehead pressed against his chest as we sway. "You're telling me, I have to go to the bathroom." I burst out in laughter. Lifting my head and looking around us. Sara and Landon are still going strong.

"Maybe if we close our eyes we can fall asleep while swaying and the judge won't know the difference," I whisper to Percy. "Or we can tap out right now before I have a situation." He says.

"Let's see how long we can go!" I exclaim.
