Ben’s POV:
“Phew, I’m glad I’m home now. It was really emotional for me but here I am, home sweet home.”, I said to myself while I was on my home to see and live with Kirt, again. Suddenly, I got a call from Mrs. Flora, I picked up.
B: Hello, Mrs. Flora.
Mrs. F: B-Ben. T-there’s a-a b-bad news.
At this moment, I looked worried because of her stammering, as she continued saying:
Mrs. F: W-we have found K-Kirt’s b-body in a jungle.
B:… Wait, can you say it again? (at that moment, my heart was beating fast, “Has something happened to him in my absence? I wondered why he hadn’t called me a while ago.”, I thought to myself.)
Mrs. F: Kirt’s body w-was found in the jungle.
B: Look! You might have seen a similar one like him, how could that be possible. It must have been a prank or something! I’m sure he’s fi-. – I was cut off when she told the whole story.
Mrs. F: No, it’s HIM! He has been missing a while ago, he never showed up at school after you left for a year, a-and we called the police to find him, we’ve been looking for him everywhere, until we’ve found him lying on the ground, unresponsive, he had no pulse. We took him the hospital and he’s in the O.T.
B: Nonononono! This can’t be, this can’t be.
Then I ended the call and drove to the hospital.
I rushed to see my friends and Mrs. Flora, all looked pale with horror on their face. Then, the surgeon came out. I went to ask. “E-excuse me, doctor. Is Kirt fine? Umm… What happened to him? Is he alright?”, my heart, still beating fast like an airplane experiencing extreme turbulence, then sank when he said. “I’m terribly sorry. He can’t make it. He is…………………………………………………………………………………………………. DEAD.”.
3rd Person’s POV:
Ben was shocked by what the doctor said. He was looking dumbfounded, then a while later of silence, the doctor continued: “Y-you may see him now. I’m terribly apologize for your loss.”, and he left. They slowly took him to Kirt, who was his best friend, then life-partner had left him unannounced. Mrs. Flora slowly took the covers off to see Kirt smiling peacefully with his icy lips and his face, once with rosy cheeks and masculine look, now turned into pale-looking beautifully frozen dead, sleeping peacefully. Ben could not say a word but had his tearful eyes looking at him with tears fell down and landed on his cheeks,then, one by one, the others started to cry and Tucker went to him and convinced him, “Ben, be strong. What you see is the truth, he won’t go back. You have to get a grip of yourself.”, but Ben, still looking dumbfounded, couldn’t hear a word from what Tucker said to him, as he slowly fell to the ground, landed his head on Tucker’s lap. He started screaming for his supported lover. “Ben… Ben… BEN! Wake Up. Help! Somebody HELP ME!”. They took Ben to the O.T while the two hands of Ben and Kirt that held firmly, prevented him from going there, the friends tried their best to separate their strong hands but wouldn’t budge. It took like ten minutes like forever to succeed in doing that. Then, the doctor stated that. “Ben had fallen into coma.”. Tucker was really in depression by what he heard. “It might take him at least a month to recover, but we’ll try our best to reduce the time so that he could be healed quickly.”. Tucker thanked her and had the permission to see Ben. “Can you guys, please… let us here for some time… for ourselves. You guys should go home.”. Mrs. Flora came to him and patted his head lightly. “Okay, we will, but please look after him.”. “I will, teach.”.
Tucker’s POV:
(before Kirt’s death)
It was strange that Kirt was missing when Ben was not here, but I missed Ben a lot. I also texted Kirt about Ben’s situation, then his health and stuff, like a father worried for his son. One day, while I was doing Muay Thai martial arts for the tournament, I got a text from Kirt. It was like a letter but more than horror.
“Hey, haven’t seen all of you a while ago. Well, the truth is, I can’t bear what happened to my family, I want to reunite with them but I can’t leave Ben alone. I will really regret this. Tucker, I know you have also fallen in love with him as well, you also feel concerned for him, too. So I have a favor for you, while I’m gone, can you help me look after Ben, please? Oh and if he asked about my whereabouts, just say I had gone to Ireland for a year. Thanks! ☹☹.”
Then, I texted him, such as: “Wait, what does this mean?”, “Hello?”, “Tell me.”…… No response. “Reunite with his family? But they were gone. Does this mean that… Nonononono. I have to call Ben. Wait, if I called him, he would go crazy. I have to call my friends but had to warn them not to call Ben.” After 15 minutes or so, I immediately called our friends and Mrs. Flora and told them about Kirt’s text. They were shocked by what I said. After that, we called 911 to search for him. It took us 5 months to look for him, until we found his body.
(back to reality)
I was really painful how could Kirt leave him like that? I was really upset but really devastated at the same time. “I have to bring Ben back to reality so that he can move on, overcome the pain and be with a new life-partner, me. I have to to it, no matter what it takes. Kirt, you aren’t here anymore, but you give me a chance to be with him, I promise you, I will love him with all my heart, I won’t let him suffer in any circumstances. And when he recovers, I will let him visit you so that he won’t feel lonely again.”, I thought to myself. I then looked at Ben, who was sleeping unconsiously, but still like how princesses sleep. I hopped onto the bed and laid right beside him, wrapped my soft arms around him, never wanted to let him go. I was still hurt but smiling at him at ease. “Good night, Benny Boo.”, I said to him as I gave him a nickname, pressed my lips against his soft lips, it was a quick, chaste kiss, until I slowly drifted off to Dreamland.
