I'm done with Reddit. Very unfriendly to autistic people, immigrants and non-locals, disabled people, anyone asking fair questions, anyone speaking a truth or anyone sharing their personal truth. The subreddits and threads that are designed specifically to allow you to ask questions and promise none are dumb are cesspools of people who will downvote or criticize you just for asking your question and being ignorant. On Reddit, sometimes people will downvote you not because they disagree with your statement or question, but because they see it as a challenge and don't like you challenging them. Especially the subreddits where professionals are targeted to reply. On subreddits and threads for speaking your personal truth, people will downvote you because your personal truth isn't their personal truth. And when these people downvote you, Reddit will subtract from you something called "karma." I hate that. All of it's become bad for my mental health.

I hate that I've forever been the person to ask a question or speak a truth that I know others are thinking/experiencing as well and become the bad guy made to feel like a jerk and a freak because I'm the only one neurodivergent enough to verbalize it. I'm not a jerk nor a freak. I'm a person asking fair questions and stating real truths in a world where many want to sit comfortably in their glass houses on a pedestal.

I can repeat affirmations but it doesn't make me any less exhausted or unaffected by that "0". So, yeah, I'm done with Reddit.
