Recap-

Elrond studied the map, "Erebor." He stated, looking to Thorin.
"What is your interest in this map?" He questioned.
Adad went to reply, but was cut off - saved by Gandalf.
"It's mainly academic. As you know, this sort of artifact sometimes contains hidden text."
Thorin smiled slightly at Gandalf, relieved.
"You still read ancient Dwarvish, do you not?" Gandalf questioned Elrond.
"Ah, Cirith Ithil." Elrond spoke.
"Moon Runes? Of course. An easy thing to miss." Gandalf explained.
"Well, in this case, that is true." Elrond elaborated.
"What do you mean by that, exactly?" I asked.
"Well, for one miss Theia Moon Runes can only be read by the light of a moon of the same shape and season as the day on which they were written."
"Can you read them?" Thorin asked.
Hope shined in our eyes.
"These Runes were written on a Midsummer's Eve...by the light of a crescent moon. Nearly 200 years ago. It would seem you were meant to come to Rivendell. Fate is with you, Thorin Oakenshield. The same moon shines upon us tonight." Elrond spoke loud and clear.
I smiled at my parents.
'They could be read.' I thought.
"Stand by the gray stone when the thrush knocks...and the setting sun with the last light of Durin's Day will shine upon the Keyhole." He read.
I repeated it over in my head multiple times. Attempting to memorize it.
"Durin's Day?" Bilbo asked.
"It is the start of the Dwarves' new year, when the last moon of autumn and the first sun of winter appear in the sky together."
Little did we know, that, that was a clue.
"This is ill news. Summer is passing. Durin's Day will soon be upon us." Thorin said gravely.
I sighed quietly, looking at my mom who was shaking her head.
"We still have time." Balin replied.
"Time for what?" Bilbo asked curiously.
"Time to find the entrance." Balin informed Bilbo.
"We have to be standing in exactly the right spot at exactly the right time. Then, and only then, can the door be opened." Balin continued.
They let the "cat out of the bag" Elrond will know now.
"So this is your purpose. To enter the Mountain?"
"What of it?" Thorin questioned.
"Adad, calm down." I spoke, calmly.
"There are some who would not deem it wise."
"Who do you mean?" Gandalf asked.
"You are not the only guardian to stand watch over Middle-Earth."
It was then, that Gandalf looked troubled.

Gandalf pulled us aside later that night and told us that we must leave in the morning. That he would meet up with us in the Mountains.

My mother had made sure to pass on the message to Adad, and by the time the sun had risen, we were far away from Rivendell. "Be on your guard. We're about to step over the Edge of the Wild. Balin, you know these paths. Lead on." Adad spoke.
"Aye." Balin replied.
Looking behind me, I spotted Bilbo looking longingly back at Rivendell which was just within our sights.
"Master Baggins...I suggest you keep up." Thorin advised.
Mom and I were in the middle of the company. They had accepted her pretty quickly. And her, them.

We journeyed the Wilds for weeks, across plains mostly. Until we came to The Misty Mountains. If one was to make a wrong move... They would fall off the cliff.
Nighttime came and it began to storm - badly.
Adad ordered everyone to "hold on!" I had a gut feeling that mom really wanted to be by his side but was unfortunately, unable to.
Minutes passed, and Bilbo nearly tumbled over the cliff's edge. Dwalin and Fili caught him.
Then... a large boulder came our way.

Large beings began to form and Balin exclaimed it as a "Thunder-Battle."
The legends were true apparently. According to Bofur. Stone Giants. I stood - staring. Until mom pulled on my arm, getting me to move.
"Come now, Theia. We can't stay frozen in place." She spoke in my ear.
I nodded, terrified.
Not even a minute later my cousins were being split apart. Literally.
I made a run past the Dwarves, thanking my Elven heritage and landing next to Kili. Once more following my gut.
"Theia!" Mom yelled.
"What's happening?" Kili asked.
"Grab my hand!" Fili yelled to his brother.
"Theia, what are you doing here?" Kili asked.
"I'm saving you and the rest of the company. That's what I'm doing here." I yelled.
He latched onto my arm, as did the dwarf next to me as we started to move. We were on a Giant's knees...One that was going down.
My mom and adad were staring at us. I nodded, smiling. Hoping that they could see me. And know that my gesture meant that everything would be okay.
I held my hands out, bracing myself as we were about to crash. Creating a barrier. Using the element of air. When we crashed, we bounced around in the 'bubble' I created. Unharmed. But on top one another nonetheless.
I could faintly hear Adad, mom, Balin and Fili shouting panicked. 'They thought that we had died...' Half of the company sat up, some groaning. Kili immediately hugged me as a thank you. I patted him on the back, welcoming the hug. "You're welcome, Kili."

"No!, No!" I heard, before loud running footsteps came our way. "No! Kili, Theia!"
"Theia!" A woman's voice screamed, shortly after.
Along with others pitching in for their loved ones.
"Oh..." Adad gasped, seeing us groaning, but alive.
"It's alright! They're alive!" Gloin spread the word.
I stood with the others, and was soon pulled into a hug, by adad. Followed by mom.
"You reckless girl..." She reprimanded.
"I followed my gut, mom. I had to."
"Theia saved us, miss Amara." Kili spoke up.
A lot of "thanks" and "well done" were thrown my way.

Until Bofur yelled "where's Bilbo? Where's our Hobbit?"
My eyes bugged out of my skull. 'How did I not notice?'
He was soon discovered...hanging off the cliff.
"Grab him!" Many attempts were made, then Bilbo lost his grip.
Adad ran past the others and dropped down to Bilbo's level and hoisted him up.
I screamed when Adad fell. - And eventually began to cry.
As did many others.
The company couldn't catch him.
Mom was the only silent one, but she had her eyes closed, and was twisting her hands in circles.
She had a plan.
She was stronger than me.

To clear things up: they got Bilbo to safety, Thorin fell into the abyss.

Hey everyone, so my 97 year old grandma is still in the hospital. They had to transport her to our 'major' hospital a few days ago because an artery in her leg was partially blocked. But, today we got the news that she's coming closer to us! (1 hr away this time, not 3!) To refresh your minds: she had 2 strokes, 1 heart attack, 1 broken arm, 1 bruised leg, and 1 partially blocked artery. - She's stubborn! And has to go into rehab, - Physical Therapy. But then will come home ❤️

Me? I had 18 seizures yesterday from all the stress so it's a miracle I'm up and writing right now! 🤔

Ah, and I'm not one to be That cruel to you readers so they'll be another chapter coming up. 👏🏻
