Part – 9

"Mom! you up at this time?" Sanjana asks sleepily in surprise seeing Radhika watching TV in the living room at 4 in the morning. She sat beside her mother in law curling up on the sofa.

"Yesterday, we went for dinner out & we missed to watch our favorite serial right? So came to watch the repeat telecast" Radhika says.

"Yeah, even I kept alarm & woke up to watch this." Sanjana grins. "Did the serial started?"

"No. What's that serial called? Haan.. Balika vadhu is going." Radhika makes a disinterested face. "After that our serial will start. I don't wanna miss the unwedding drama so switched on the TV five minutes before itself."

"Is she still a 'Balika vadhu'? Didn't she grow up? I heard she got married two or three times..." Sanjana asks confused.

"Yeah, 1000 episodes before itself she became an 'Adult vadhu' but still they didn't change the title" Radhika cracks & Sanjana burst out laughing.

"What are you both doing here?" Gautham asks seeing both the ladies laughing like mad.

"What are YOU doing here?" Radhika responds to her son by popping up yet another question.

"My wife was missing so came in search of her" Gautham shrugs.

"Missing? Go give a missing case complaint in police station" Radhika teases him. Sanjana laughs enjoying the mom & son's banter.

"Very funny" Gautham makes a face which made them laugh more.

"Sanju, what are doing here? Why you left me alone in bed? You know, My Mom is a bad company, she will spoil you so don't spend more time with her. Always dedicate your precious time to your patidev" Gautham says in a teasing yet possessive tone. "Yes, Patidev" Sanjana grins.

"Spoil her? Me? You are saying as if she is a baby!" Radhika asks shocked. Sanjana giggles. Hearing the land phone ring, Gautham ignores them & picks the call wondering who was calling at the wee hours

"Hello" Gautham says.

"Gautham, is Sanjana up or still sleeping?" Jaanvi asks.

"Yeah, she is awake. Why? You want to tell her something Maa?" Gautham asks.

"No. She told me to wake her up at sharp 4 as she has some important work to do" Jaanvi tells. Gautham glares at Sanjana.

"Maa, you go sleep. She just asked you to wake her up so that she can watch god awful serial" Gautham says pissed.

"She is crazy" Jaanvi says a bit irritated at her daughter. Because of her, she had woken up in the mid of her sleep.

"She is. You get back to sleep Maa" Gautham says & hangs up the phone

"Move & sit" Gautham orders Sanjana & sat between Radhika & Sanjana on the sofa. Sanjana snuggles close to him resting her head on his shoulders.

"You both have TV in your room right? You both can watch in your room nah?" Gautham asks.

"Yeah. But we don't want you to disturb us while watching our show so we came here but still you are here to crib" Sanjana sighs.

"What's so interesting happening in the show that you both sacrificed your beauty sleep?"

"Well, I'll tell you the long story short... hero met heroine... hero got attracted to the heroine at first sight... hero is a superstar... heroine booked a complaint on the hero for hit & run case... he broke heroine's engagement... he sent her father to hospital bed... she gave 4 slaps to him in from of his crew members in the shooting set... he forcefully married her in the same set to take revenge on her... then hero was shot by the heroine's father to take revenge on him for making his daughter's life hell ..."

"So much of revenge drama... okay tell what happened next? He died in the shootout or he survived?"

"Ugh! How the hero will die? Of course he survived. Heroine saved him..."

"Is she a Doctor?" Gautham asks Sanjana curiously.

"No. she tied a scared thread on his wrist & he came back to life"

"What!! You believe all this? A simple thread a saving life? Oh yeah, you do... you are the one who told me that that chain will save my life & you made me mend it just few hours back" he says pointing to her nuptial chain.

"Oh come on, Gautham, just hear the story" she says eagerly. He nods.

"Then heroine started loving him slowly... she even kept karvachat vrat for him too... and one fine day she confessed her love for him..."

"Sanjana, you missed the studio night, Bahon ke darmiyan song... You know Sanjana, once your dad also sung that song for me. So that scene is one of my most favorite scenes" Radhika tells her blushing. Gautham shakes his head in disbelief. His mother surely is insane! He thoughts.

"ha...yeah... every now & then they will romance for romantic songs... well, Hero will ask her to come with him, leaving behind everything to start a new life... heroine agrees... in between few dramas will take place... & one fine day they will decide to get married & that day is today. He will break all ties with her & leave her in the altar"

"How do you know he will leave her?" Gautham asks.

"We saw the promo." Radhika tells him

"Oh. But why he wants to leave her?"

"You fool; to take revenge on her he is playing this love game. Didn't she tell you he married her for revenge?" Radhika hits her son's forehead & shakes her head for his dumbness.

"Mom, for 4 slaps he will revenge her? How come someone can take revenge on the one they love? Or doesn't he love her at all?"

"He didn't love her. It's all a game" Radhika tells him "Okay, stop your interrogation now. Serial started" Radhika warns. Gautham didn't dare to speak a word & silently he too watched the show.

"He surely loves her. He can't live without her. He will regret soon & go to her to get back her in his life" Gautham says confidently once the serial got over.

"How could you be so sure?" Sanjana asks.

"Because I could see 'Ishq and Junoon' in his eyes." Gautham says & walks back to his room.

"My son is not dumb" Radhika smiles.

"Neither my husband" Sanjana says proudly.

"Okay, Let's go back to sleep" Radhika say but Sanjana stops her.

"Mom..." she hesitates.

"What?"

"Mom, I'm late" Sanjana says blushing.

"Yes, It's late, we should go & sleep"

"Mom! I am late, my monthly. Do you think I should see a doctor?"

"Really?" Radhika's eyes went wide in delight & hugs Sanjana happily.

"Mom, let's confirm it first, then we can celebrate. Don't tell Gautham now, okay?"

"Okay. I'll take you to the doctor tomorrow"

"No. I'll go. Could you please take care of Dad's & Gautham's breakfast?"

"Sure. Now go sleep for a while" Radhika says with a smile. Sanjana nods & walks back to her room.
