Hello Warriors!

We hope you all are enjoying the contest. The last set was completely a successful one and that was all because of your amazing stories. Thank you so much for your active participation. ❤️❤️

This time we have something you’re a bit familiar with. We are not saying that it will be an easy one as that depends completely on you guys, but yes you do know about this genre. We are pretty sure about that!

Quoting the words from Guy Vanderhaeghe, "History tells us what people do; historical fiction helps us imagine how they felt."

So, this time we have the much celebrated genre of Historical Fiction, but obviously, it won’t be just a simple plain historical fiction. But before we get to that point, let’s have a brief overview of what a historical fiction actually is.

Historical fiction is a literary genre in which the story is written in a time period belonging to somewhere in the past. Capturing the time period as accurately as possible, social norms, manners, traditions and customs are some of the few key points that one needs to keep in mind to write a successful historical fiction.

So, this is what you have for the SET 3.

The three things that you have to keep in mind and follow in this set are:

GENRE
Paranormal Historical Romance

WORD
Quidnunc

CATCH
You’ve to include a paranormal entity, obviously, but you CANNOT have a vampire or a werewolf in the story. More unique the catch is, more will be the chances for your story to stand out.

FORM
Please fill out the form given below.

POINTS TO REMEMBER

# WORD COUNT: 2000-2500 words

# A relaxation can be given of 15-20 words but any story with words more than 2515-2520 words will have negative marking

# Make sure to read all the rules and regulations given in the chapter 2 of this book before filling the form.

# You can make the catch either as the lead character or one of the supporting characters. That’s totally up to you but it must have an important role in the story.

# Please note that there’s a difference between horror and paranormal. So, please don’t get confused in both the genres. We would suggest you to have a quick look at what all elements are included in these genres.

# The Achievers of SET 2 cannot participate in this set, but if they wish to write on this prompt, please feel free to do so. However, the Achievers of SET 1 can participate in this set.

DEADLINE (for both form and story submission)
11th August, 2020
11:59 P.M. (IST)

Any submission after the deadline will not be considered for evaluation. Exceptions will be made only when a proper reason to do so is given.

Wish you all a very best of luck!

Happy Wordsmithing!

Love,
Stella & Asmi
