"It's for the best." Kaoru and Hikaru said grimly to a hesitant Haruhi.

"But..." she chewed on her lip as the object of their discussion looked up and smiled before going back to reading his new manga Kimi to Boku.

"He can't live in ignorance forever." Hikaru said with a sigh

"It's cruel." Kaoru finished with a side look to the oblivious blue haired boy.

"Okay," Haruhi took in a deep breath, "Okay, I've got this." She murmured before walking to the boy who put down his manga when he saw her approach.

Kaito's mouth curled into a smile as she sat near him.

The two talked aimlessly while Haruhi stalled, just as she was about to tell him...

"I'm glad you're a boy Haru-kun, I don't think I would been able to talk to you if you were a girl."

Haruhi tensed, "W-Why is t-that K-Kaito-senpai?"

"I think I'm kind of scared of girls...?" He scratched the back of his head with a pink tinge on his cheeks.

"But you host just fine?"

"Well, talking during host hours is like watching dialogue in a game, all you have to do is see how it plays out and pick an option. Outside of hours I've never really been good with girls, I was teased a lot for liking the things that I do so I don't really know what to say. I find it odd as soon as I have a semblance of attractiveness they pounce." He shuddered.

"Not all girls are like that." She protested.

"I know but I think I need to get over my slight Gynophobia. Until then, I'm happy just talking to Haru-kun and the others." Kaito smiled softly before walking over to where Honey had appeared.

"Couldn't do it," Hikaru started.

"Could you?" Kaoru finished.

"No, he looked so happy that I was a boy..." Haruhi groaned.

"Figures." They all sighed in unison.

"But why hasn't senpai figured it out yet?" Haruhi asked, troubled.

"Senpai is a bit dense." Hikaru shrugged.

"He lacks all common sense." Kaoru added.

"Is it that hard to tell I'm a girl?"

"Nope."

"Not at all."

"But that is senpai." Hikaru and Kaoru shrugged.
