Kathrya tumbled down the steep hill, pawing and clawing at her attacker. She was pinned to the ground by a gray she-wolf. Kathrya kicked the she-wolf off of her with her hind legs.
She jumped onto the she-wolf and growled loudly. "OK, OK, I give! You got me! You get the grass bed tonight." The she-wolf said. "For a week." Kathrya corrected. "No!" The she-wolf argued. "Do you want to get clawed in the eye?" Kathrya asked sarcastically. "Fine.... for one week. But that's it." The she-wolf sighed. "Good. Now, before we get in trouble, let's get back to the cave, Bright." Kathrya flicked her tail as she bounded off. "Wait up!" The she-wolf, Bright, called to her older sister. As they reached the cave.
Kathrya saw her older sister Skyflight at the entrance. "Mom! They're here!" Skyflight called into the cave. Deer dung... Kathrya thought. I'm so dead. Kathrya was pretty sure Bright was thinking the same thing. A big white she-wolf raced out of the cave and straight to Bright. "Sweetie," the she-wolf started. "Where have you been? Are you hurt? Are you sick? Did you get lost? How. . ." She trailed off, slowly turning to Kathrya. "Kathrya, darling, WHAT DID YOU DO?!" She howled/barked/yelled/screamed. "N-nothing mother." Kathrya whined. "Then what were you doing?" She asked.
"We were just playing!" Bright put in. The white she-wolf nodded. "But there will be consequences for leaving the den without permission." The she-wolf said. "And that is...?" Bright charmed in.
"1 week in the den." She said. "Aww!" Both Kathrya and Bright whined. "Started now." The she-wolf said. Kathrya and Bright padded to the den.
