Dreamcatcher: I ain't seein' nothing NiGHTS! Can we go back now?
NiGHTS: (mumbling) And Owl says I'm bad about not doing work😒.
Phobia: Oh come on Dreamcatcher. We must be doing something right! There hasn't been any nightmares or deaths reported since the day before yesterday.

Dreamcatcher, NiGHTS, Phobia, and the Skylander Blackout have been searching the Skylandian part of the Dream Realm in hopes of finding a reason for the mysterious deaths in Lassea's village. However, they haven't found much of anything. If anything, nothing seemed wrong, other than the weird dreams mabu reportedly had. The deaths had actually come to a complete halt.

The only thing that seemed strange was this red mist that's going around... and eerie music.

Blackout: I don't trust that mist, or fog, or whatever it's called. And the music coming from it makes me uneasy...
Phobia: I know, but I've checked those mist clouds and I didn't find anything. I'll go check them again, but I probably won't find anything.

Phobia hopped over some distance away to the closest red mist in the area. She checked the area out and even went into the fog, but nothing other than the music. Phobia was about to hop back to the others when suddenly, just as she turned her back to the fog, a black chain came out of the fog and wrapped tightly around Phobia's leg. Before she could realize what had happened she was suddenly dragged back into the fog. She only gave out a small scream, merely out of instinct...

Then nothing...

Blackout: Something's not right. She should've been back by now.
Dreamcatcher: Oh re-lax, will you? I've heard what that chick's capable of and I'm sure she can handle herself.
NiGHTS: I don't know. Those fogs are giving off a bad vibe, but then if they were any danger something would've probably already happened. I don't know.

Suddenly something came out of nowhere and rammed NiGHTS into a nearby rock. After getting her bearings, NiGHTS looked up to see a hand around her throat. She wouldn't admit it, but she was actually relieved to see it was just her crazy brother, Reala.

NiGHTS: Oh, it's you.
Reala: My my NiGHTS, you're starting to slip. Normally you'd see me coming quicker then that. (Low chuckle)
NiGHTS: *sigh* No offense Reala, but I'm not in the mood to deal with whatever Wiseman's up to this time, 'aight? For all I know you're the one who has been trying to scare everyone with that red mist and music.
Reala: Now what makes you say that, dear sibling? I know nothing of this "red mist" you speak of.
NiGHTS: Reala, please stop calling me your "sibling". Because I'm not, and the whole act is honestly getting old.
Dreamcatcher: So this is that crazy brother you've told me about Nighty? Lol he looks kinda cool.
Blackout: Can we please get this Nightmaren out of our way and get back to the matter at hand?

NiGHTS nodded to Blackout's question, then grabbed Reala's wrist and moved it off her throat. She turned to Reala and crossed her arms.

NiGHTS: Alright Reala, what'd you do?
Reala: Beg pardon brother?
NiGHTS: Don't "beg pardon" me Reala. You kidnapped Phobia so you can fool me into letting you capture me again, didn't you? Right, where is she?
Reala: What are you talking about dear NiGHTS? I know nothing of this "phobia" nor of what you're even talking about😡. I honestly didn't even know you had friends with you until now. Thought I had finally caught you all alone for once.
NiGHTS: You lier. You mean you just happened to show up just after Phobia went to look at that mist over there?
Reala: Yes dear sibling, I did. Now can we please get to the part where I'm supposed to take you by surprise and capture you so I can take you back to Master Wiseman?
Blackout: Something's telling me he's telling the truth NiGHTS. He seems to honestly not know what we're doing here nor of the goings-on around here.
Dreamcatcher: Hang on a sec, how do we know he hasn't killed anybody in their sleep ah? He totally looks the type to-
Reala: A Nightmaren would never actually kill someone in their sleep unless Wiseman says so otherwise. And even so, Wiseman isn't looking to kill no one, for that would rid him of any Ideyas that Visitor has.
NiGHTS: *sigh* Hate to say it, but he does have a point. Wiseman wants a Visitor's Ideyas, not their souls. Killing them would rid him the opportunity to take their Ideya before he could even think to take them.
Reala: At least you still remember what it's like to be with your family NiGHTS.
NiGHTS: Don't you dare call being with that monster Wiseman like being "family". He forces his own creations to serve him with little to no free will! Why can't you see that Reala!?😠
Reala: Don't you dare speak of Master Wiseman in that way, you ungrateful-!
Blackout: Enough! If it's all the same to you two, me and Dreamcatcher will just leave you and look for-

As if on cue, black chains suddenly sprang from the mist and attempted to attack them. Blackout used his stretchy whip-like wings to keep the chains from grabbing him, while Dreamcatcher used her dream tornadoes to deter the chains. NiGHTS used her drill dash to dodge the chains while Reala fired a black energy from his hands.

NiGHTS: How do I know you or the other Nightmarens aren't behind this?
Reala: These chains are attacking me as well. What more do you want?
Blackout: Stand back everyone! Total eclipse!

Blackout sent out two of his portals towards the chains. The two met and reacted to the cross by creating a large black hole. As the chains were sucked towards the black hole, Blackout and the others ran off to another area. They rested for a moment trying to figure out what all just happened.

Reala: Well, that likely explains what happened to your Phobia friend.
Dreamcatcher: Anyone, like, know what that was about?!
Blackout: As I figure it, someone or something is after us. I sense a Dark elemental magic moving those chains.
NiGHTS: So, what? Think it's Scorpius's doing?
Dreamcatcher: I doubt that. I've heard what that guy's powers are, and somehow I don't think moving chains with Dark elemental magic is one of them.
Blackout: Besides, Scorpius said himself he was Undead elemental, not Dark.
Reala: Forgive me for interrupting your joyous conversation, but I feel like an outsider to whatever you are talking about. Mind cueing me in on this-

Suddenly a chain came from nowhere and grabbed Reala's leg, attempting to take him into the mist. NiGHTS managed to grab one of Reala's hands as Reala was lifted off the ground. Blackout and Dreamcatcher fought off the other chains that had found them. Reala used his free hand to fire his dark energy at the chain that was wrapped around his leg, but it didn't seem to be working. As another chain wrapped around Reala's other leg, he struggled to release their grip on him. Reala was able to pull his legs against the pull of the chains, but they didn't let go. NiGHTS struggled to keep Reala from being taken. NiGHTS's feet were sliding against the ground, trying to get traction against the chains' pull on Reala.

Reala: Why aren't you trying to save yourself NiGHTS?! You and I are bitter enemies, remember?!
NiGHTS: *groans* You may be my enemy... but you're still my brother! I'm not l-letting you go!

One of the chains managed to grab Dreamcatcher's pink bow, and as Dreamcatcher tried to get it off another chain wrapped itself around Dreamcatcher's mouth. Which meant that it had wrapped itself around Dreamcatcher's whole body since Dreamcatcher is a floating head. Just as she was dragged towards the mist, another chain came out and whipped NiGHTS in the head, causing her to let go of Reala's hand and thud against the ground unconscious. Reala tried to resist the chains, but after two chains wrapped themselves around his throat he couldn't keep himself from being dragged into the fog alongside Dreamcatcher. Blackout grabbed and carried NiGHTS away just as another chain tried to grab her foot. As Blackout whipped the chains away from him at break-neck speed, he summoned another one of his portals, this time to return to Skylands. He just managed to go through the portal with NiGHTS before the portal closed, keeping the chains from going through with them. The chains paused for a few seconds before they slowly fled back into the mist. The mist faded, revealing the chains going into another portal before that portal closed.

The music stopped, and the land barely changed. The mists... all disappeared. Whoever was behind this... had done their job.

Sun Dragon: 990... 991... 992, come on Bike-Trike you're so close! 993...

Bike-Trike had apparently found out that there was a record for longest time balancing on one wheel, and of course he was going to break it! He had already passed the last record, but he wanted to last to all the way to 1000 seconds, so he could keep the record for a long time. Gorgeisha filmed the event so they could prove that Bike-Trike broke the record, while everyone else pretty much cheered him on. Well, most everyone. What? Do you see someone like Raven to encourage this "stupid" behavior? Besides, she wasn't the only one: Fin-Point wasn't exactly thrilled about this either. He just watched because Bike-Trike "forced" him to.

Sun Dragon: 998... 999... 1000! Bike-Trike you smashed this record!
Bike-Trike: Heck yeah!

Bike-Trike finally got off his front wheel and then spun around, or "burning rubber" as it's called in the vehicle fandom. He popped a few wheelies in excitement, and who could blame him? He practically destroyed the record! Raven only rolled her eyes. She really wasn't into motorcycles or cars or any vehicle really. That was Cyborg's thing, not Raven's.

Joshua: Oh come now Raven, surely you're happy for the guy?
Raven: Oh yeah, I'm super excited about a motorized dragon thing standing on his wheel for elongated amounts of time. (!) 😒
Joshua: Hm-hmm.
Raven: Hey, don't get me wrong, I'm happy for the guy, I guess. I'm just not- ... You sensed that right?
Joshua: An inter-dimensional entry just now. Yeah, why?
Raven: ....Nevermind, it's just Blackout and NiGHTS. All though...
Joshua: NiGHTS's sensation feels awfully faint, as if she's unconscious? Yeah, totally feel that.
Raven: ...

Raven suddenly got up and levitated off the ground, heading for the main building. Joshua eventually decided to get up and merely walk after Raven. Sun Dragon noticed this and decided to see what was the problem. When Raven entered the main building, she saw the Senseis gathered around, speaking amongst themselves as if they were one of those crowds that gathered around an accident on the side of the street. Raven grew more concerned, and as she managed to push her way through the crowd, she found her reason why. Blackout was trying to calm everyone down while also trying to wake up an unconscious NiGHTS.

Blackout: Raven, thank goodness! We were ambus-
Raven: Pardon my "french" but what the h*ll happened?! And where's Dreamcatcher and Phobia?
Blackout: That's what I'm trying to tell you Raven, we were am-
Joshua: My my, this definitely seems serious doesn't it?
Blackout: Everyone please, we were am-
Sun Dragon: My lord, NiGHTS! What in Skylands happened?!
Blackout: EVERYONE SHUT UP FOR A MOMENT!!! WE. WERE. AMBUSHED! *panting* These chains... they came out of nowhere... I fought them off... they... they got us good... I didn't even see it coming... I should've seen it coming!😠 (slams his fist to floor)

Blackout took a moment to calm down, and fortunately for him NiGHTS started stirring awake. Raven got on her knees and put her hands on NiGHTS's shoulders to help her up.

NiGHTS: *groans*
Raven: NiGHTS! What happened? Can you hear me? NiGHTS!
NiGHTS: *groans* ...*gasp* 😲 Reala! Reala!
Raven: NiGHTS calm down! It's me, Raven. What happened? And what's it got to do with Reala?
Joshua: My my Raven, I only found out you knew NiGHTS a couple of weeks ago and you're now telling me you've met Reala as well?
Raven: Hush Josh. NiGHTS, don't tell me Reala attacked you again.
NiGHTS: *panting* Y-yeah. I mean no. I mean... *groans*
Blackout: Please, try to relax a little NiGHTS. You're disoriented.
NiGHTS: How can I relax when Reala was kidnapped?! *groans*
Raven: "Kidnapped" Can someone explain to me just what happened? And where's Dreamcatcher and Phobia?
Blackout: 😡 We, were, ambushed, I told you! These chains, driven by Dark elemental magic, ambushed us and took them into this red fog! Reala had shown up to challenge NiGHTS when they suddenly attacked us. I fought back... I didn't even see them capture Dreamcatcher until after they caught Reala and knocked NiGHTS out... I can only imagine they have Phobia as well... I'm sorry...
NiGHTS: It wasn't even Wiseman. He wouldn't take Reala like that unless Reala wronged him, and knowing Reala he wouldn't. And anyway there's no Nightmaren I know of that uses chains like that. And it's not your fault Blackout. None of us saw it coming, not even Reala.😧 ... Thanks, for getting me out of there Blackout.
Blackout: ....
Sun Dragon: Oh my...😦
Joshua: Welp, we knew something would happen to us here in Skylands, didn't we Raven?

Raven was still trying to absorb what all NiGHTS and Blackout had said. Chains, fog, Reala, kidnap? Just what was going on here, and who or what was behind it? Before Raven could fully understand what was said, one of the Senseis got a report from one of their cadet teams that the area they were in was being ambushed by a brown nine-tailed fox and a skinny and tricky electric dragon and they needed assistance. The people they were trying to save from these attackers?

The Anti-claws... And Scorpius...

Apparently the team was sent to an island that was rumored to be one of Kaos's fortified supply stations, but when they got their they found the Anti-claws. Before they could get answers, the island was suddenly attacked by a hoard of various creatures, reportedly lead by the brown fox and electric dragon. Since Scorpius was there, that automatically meant that Sun Dragon should be en route to the area. NiGHTS and Blackout tried to come with them, but they were reluctantly convinced to stay at the Academy to regain their strength.

Meanwhile

Scorpius flew around the fortress, blasting the attackers with his black breath. He couldn't get a clear view of that fox and dragon, but he knew they were around and fighting. The brown fox was apparently Life elemental, since many of the trolls were being wrapped with evergreen vines. The electric dragon was obviously Air elemental considering his control over electricity, plus the fact that Scorpius just spotted the very creature chasing him on a cloud. Scorpius managed to shoot him down however, but as Scorpius landed to finish it off the dragon rose back onto his feet in an almost zombie-like or even puppet-like way. Scorpius was getting the feeling this dragon being mind controlled or something. I mean, does an Air elemental creature naturally have ghostly purple energy pupil-less eyes? Before the electric dragon could strike Scorpius, Eteru came and hit the creature with an energy blast. Apparently Eteru and Bazookanine were stuck with Fin-Point again and were given this as their newest mission.

Eteru: You alright?
Scorpius: (mockingly) "You alright?" Yeah yeah, I'm just dandy! Just don't say it.
Eteru: Say what?
Scorpius: Anything.

Scorpius immediately went back into fighting the attackers. He wanted this over with so he could capture Eteru already. Obleak was furiously blazing the attackers, and some trolls, as he unleashed heatwave after heatwave on the vines. Unfortunately, they seemed to be ever growing and regrew quickly. Tianhe-2 was handling everything pretty well, using his transformation ability to its full capacity. The attackers, however, seemed not terribly affected by any attack dealt to them. They were burned, electrified, and even bleeding, but they kept getting back up like puppets, completely ignorant of their injuries and acting as if they haven't lost any energy. Finally Sun Dragon and Mixcoatl's team came to back them up, and the fight raged on for a while longer.

Until the electric dragon went up to the brown nine-tailed fox, who was controlling the vines, and held up a small silver canister to him. The fox acknowledged it, then he nodded. The dragon then threw the canister to the ground, causing a large red mist to emerge from it. The fox then held up a device of some sort and pressed a button on it, immediately summoning a large portal behind him. The dragon hopped through, and within minutes later, black chains suddenly came forth from the portal, through the red mist that blocked any view of the portal. At first the chains just attacked, but soon they began plucking trolls and other minions and dragging them through the portal.

And unfortunately, they seemed to target specific people, mainly whoever was still wrapped up in the fox's vines. Obleak was burning the vines that had attempted to wrap his leg when a chain slammed him against the ground, then two other chains quickly wrapped around Obleak's neck and legs. Obleak screeched loudly as he tried melting the chains with his dark flames, but to no avail. Tianhe-2 was somehow trapped in some vines, barely managing to blast the chains before they got too close. Bazookanine was attempting to free him when a chain smacked Bazookanine away and wrapped itself around Tianhe-2's waist, breaking him from the vines and dragging him into the mist. Bazookanine tried to run after him, but a stray vine wrapped around Bazookanine's ankle and held him tightly in place. As Bazookanine struggled to break free, another chain was heading directly at him. At the last possible moment, Eteru jump-kicked Bazookanine out of the vines grip, but the chain then grabbed Eteru and dragged him into the fog as well. Just as Bazookanine got back up, Scorpius came flying pass him towards the fog. Apparently one of the chains had caught hold of Jagged and Scorpius was trying to save him. Jagged was dragged through the portal as the chains were called back through. Just as Scorpius flew through the fog, the fox jumped into the portal, and then it vanished before Scorpius could fly through. Not expecting this, Scorpius crashed and skittied against the ground face first before friction finally stopped him. As Scorpius slowly got up, he actually cried, tears flowing like waterfalls down his scaled face. The person who had raised him since the trauma of being tortured was just taken from him, and he was unable to protect them. Scorpius raised his head, with a face of pure rage through the tears, and growled loudly. He only knew one person who would have dared target Scorpius's only family.

Furori.

Only a moment went by of everyone resting and trying to figure out what had just happened before the Dreadyaught showed up. Raven quickly got off and ran up to Sun Dragon to get a "damage assessment" while Joshua slowly followed, as if nothing was wrong in the world. Scorpius managed to stop his tears as he recognized these visitors and began to slowly walk towards them.

Raven: Sun! We tried to come sooner but-
Sun Dragon: *flinch* Don't apologize Raven. Your involvement probably wouldn't have changed much anyway.
Raven: Everyone looks pretty beaten here... Wait, I heard Eteru was here, where is he?
Sun Dragon: 😔......
Bazookanine: ....Taken...
Sun Dragon: Those chains NiGHTS and Blackout told us about... it was them... I'm the one who should apologize, miss Raven... (lowers head) ...Sorry...
Raven: 😨... No...
Joshua: My my, the mystery of the black chains has struck another cord! Our visit here just got more interesting, yes?
Raven: ....Shut the h*ll up Joshua... this isn't anything you're concerned about obviously... so if you ain't got nothing nice to say, then zip it... or I'll zip it for you, Composer or not...
Joshua: 😯 Why Raven, I didn't mean it that way... I-I realize that was uncalled for...
Raven: You're d**m right it wasn't... this is god awful serious.
Scorpius: Are you kidding? It just, got, personal. My... My second-in-command was taken from me, along with Obleak and Tianhe-2! I do urge you to think of a plan soon Raven, because I'm certainly not just going to sit around and let this madman take the lives of those under my authority.
Raven: Look pal, I'm not exactly in the best mood either. A few of my friends and even some of their friends was taken as well. So either you shut up and leave me be so I can find them, or I'll decide to terrify you again with my Soul-self like I did two days ago.
Scorpius: What? Oh that was you, was it? Well, go ahead and terrify me with it Raven, now that I know perfectly what it is and am prepared to face it.
Raven: (growls)
Joshua: Raven, remember what we said about that demon half of yours. It's starting to show a bit.

Raven stopped growling, started taking a breath, backed up from Scorpius a bit, breathed some more, then walked off to the side. She then sat on the ground, legs crossed in a meditation stance, then started levitating off the ground. She then started chanting her all too familiar mantra, Azeroth Metrion Zinthos, as the others just watched.

Scorpius: 😬 Lot of good that'll do. What's she think she's doing, praying to the Buddha or something?
Joshua: Actually young Scorpius, she's on the right track. I believe she's using her Soul-self to find our friends, and by "our" I mean you and us.
Sun Dragon: Before this conversation gets too deep, may I ask why are you, Scorpius, hanging around here?
Scorpius: Oh... um... We got ambushed and had to make an emergency landing. Yeah, that's it.

Of course at that moment a turned over crate bumped into Scorpius side. After it shook a little the box was lifted from under, revealing Kaos and Glumshanks inside. Apparently they managed to survive the whole ordeal by skillfully hiding under the crate like spies. Not going to lie, that was a hilariously smart idea, especially for Kaos.

Scorpius: 😕... I can explain...
Sun Dragon: Scorpius, you're working with Kaos?! Really?!
Joshua: My my, the plot thickens! So you're Skylands's little tyrant, hm?
Kaos: Quiet fool! Scorpius, what happened here?!
Scorpius: We were ambushed Kaos, and I'm afraid to report that some of yours and my work force was taken captive, including my second-in-command Jagged.
Glumshanks: Oh no!
Kaos: You mean that adopted father of our-
Scorpius: Shut up you little pipsqueak!
Glumshanks: Um, sirs... is that who I think it is?
Raven: Azeroth Metrion Zinthos... Azeroth Metrion Zinthos...
Joshua: Yes friend it is, but you shouldn't disturb her at the moment. For she's using her iconic Soul-self to search for our colleagues. Name's Joshua by the way.
Scorpius: How could she? We don't even know if they're still in Skylands. They could be in another world or even an alternate dimension for all we know!
Joshua: On the contrary, they're still here in Skylands. I sense them.
Scorpius: "Sense" ? You don't look even remotely psychic, or powerful at all for that matter. How could a normal person like you get mixed up with someone like Raven huh?
Joshua: Why, I thought everyone in Skylands knew about my game.
Scorpius: Apparently I don't. So start talking! How do you know they're still here?!
Joshua: (Shakes head) tsk, tsk, tsk. I already told you. I sense them. And believe me Scorpius, looks can be deceiving. I'm probably the best example of that. (Flips hair out of his face with his hand fabulously)
Raven: Azeroth Metrion Zinthos... Azeroth Metrion Zinthos...
Joshua: Besides, even if they were in another day- (chuckles) I mean, another realm, Raven's Soul-self would still find them. The Soul-self is powerful enough to cross a world's boundaries and even across universes, so really, there's no place to hide when one's Soul-self is looking for you.
Scorpius: ...Hmph. Well, look Jonathan-
Joshua: Joshua. You could call me Yoshiya Kiryu instead if you can't remember Joshua.

Scorpius: Whatever. How long is it going to take to find them? And if you can sense them, why don't you tell us where they are?😡

Joshua: My, you do have a one track mind don't you? Well, sadly, I don't know Skylands as well as you do, so even if I knew exactly where they are, I might accidentally send you on a wild goose chase. See, say they're in a jungle, but I didn't know the name. Well, given that many places in Skylands can be described as a jungle, we might end up searching for days on end before we find the right one, and only our Lord above knows what could happen to our colleagues in that time period. Happy now?
Glumshanks: He does have a point sirs.
Scorpius: Ok, but what about Raven? She doesn't know Skylands either, how could-
Joshua: Ah, we need only to follow her after her Soul-self finds them. Right Raven?
Raven: Azeroth Metrion... Zinthos... Found them. They're on some kind of artificial... platform? Island? I don't know how to describe it.

Raven turned around and then stood on her feet again. She walked over to Scorpius and all to discuss the matter properly.

Scorpius: An artificial island? Well, good luck finding that, 'cause we ain't got many of those around these parts.
Bazookanine: Raven, could you see them?
Raven: Yeah, I saw them. All unconscious but alive. Some wolf looking creature was checking out his latest haul while others were suspended from those chains like insects in a web. I overheard him say something to his "mercenaries" about how damaged they all were minus this fox thing and dragon and told them to rest. They all went to their knees like unused puppets on strings and literally slept where they stood. I couldn't catch the fox thing's name, but I did hear the wolf refer to the dragon as "Voltair".
Sun Dragon: Well at least we know that much. Any ideas on who this wolf is?
Scorpius: .... Yesterday I had this dream. I kinda dismissed it to be honest, but looking back, I think I had one of those precognitions or whatever. You know, those dreams and nightmares that supposedly predict the future? Well, I was told through the dream I had that a madman named Furori was trying to hunt me and "those I considered enemies" down so he may turn us to his cause. I don't know what that cause is, but I think Furori tried to kidnap me in my sleep or something because that red mist appeared and, well, last thing I remember before Jagged woke me up was a black chain coming toward me. Sound familiar?
Joshua: Oooo, we can put a name to the master of chains now! Furori hm? Not a bad name... unless paired with the word "Studemus", in which case it would translate to "the madman". Fitting. Okay then, how soon can we make for Furori Raven?
Raven: I'm heading his way right now, but I think you all better stay behind.
Joshua: Oh?
Bazookanine: Are you crazy?! That's basically walking into a snake pit with no anti-venom on you!
Raven: I meant for you guys to allow me to disable any possible traps and maybe even free one or two of Furori's captives, while you all show up later so we can fight this freak.
Sun Dragon: That's still too risky Raven!
Scorpius: We're talking about a guy who just successfully captured Obleak, a Dark elemental raging Phoenix with no control over himself, and Tianhe-2, a robot who can transform into literally anyone or any other living thing. Not doubting your skills as a fighter or as a heroine, but that takes some skill to capture a mad phoenix and a shape-shifting robot, plus who or whatever else that Furori has captured and possibly mind controlled. You see these vines? Yeah, that fox thing totally did that. "Voltair", living bug zapper and the best at impersonating Goku on his cloud thing.
Raven: And I've defeated my demon dad multiple times and trapped him in his own dimensional lair a number of those times. Your point? Besides, I'm not stupid. I can hide on that island or whatever and keep you updated until you're ready to tackle this sucker. Trust me, I know what I'm doing.
Sun Dragon: 😯Raven...
Raven: ...Besides, I'm not just doing it for me. Eteru saw me as his teacher, and he needs help. Raven: Alright. Furori's base of operations is a straight northeast from here. How far away from here I don't know, but it is a straight path from here to there northeast. Raven turned and started running toward the northeast edge of the island, but then she stopped. After a few seconds she removed her hood, revealing Marshadow underneath. She picked him up and walked back to Joshua.

Raven: Here Josh. You're really the only person I trust right now with Marshadow.
Joshua: I got him Rae, don't worry.
Marshadow: Mar?
Raven: Don't worry sweetie, I'll just be gone for a little while, ok? Behave yourself now, will you? (Pecks a kiss on Marshadow's forehead) Oh, and Joshua, try to get these two sides to cooperate with each other.
Joshua: Roger will-co and 10-4 Raven! Thought you'd never ask.

Raven nodded, put her hood back on, and ran to the edge of the island. She jumped off the edge and became her Soul-self, flying towards the northeast direction. She quickly became out of sight beyond the clouds. Believe it or not, Kaos and Glumshanks were actually tearing up "a little" from hearing Raven call Marshadow, which to both of them was unexplainably, irresistibly, and undeniably adorable, her "sweetie", like she was his mom. The way Raven smiled an assuring smile, the glassy look of her eyes, her kindness- Oh it was too much!😭

Scorpius: 😒*sigh* Right, enough of this. Kaos, come on.
Sun Dragon: What? What're you-?
Scorpius: I ain't fixin' to work with you lot, especially since most of you are... dragons.
Joshua: Hmph. Racist much?
Scorpius: You do things your way, I do things mine. I don't care if Raven told you to make us work together Jonathan-
Joshua: Joshua.
Scorpius: Whatever. I ain't working with dragons. It's against my lifestyle, sorry. Besides, I doubt any of you want to work with this freak.
Kaos and Glumshanks: 😭
Joshua: Hm-hmm. Listen Scorpius, we may be your enemies in the long run, but right now there's someone who threatens both sides. And anyway, you want to know if maybe you could save this little guy from being an orphan, should something happen to Raven, don't you? Please help Marshadow's mommy Uncle Scorpy!

Joshua held Marshadow up in front of Scorpius's face. At first Scorpius was just annoyed, but then he looked at Marshadow in the eyes and saw something... something that was lost in Scorpius. A precious, innocent, unknowing life. Marshadow looked back at Scorpius, then he reached out and touched Scorpius's nose. Scorpius found himself putting his finger on top of Marshadow's itty bitty hand. Scorpius immediately started tearing up, he couldn't take the thought of a life this precious being destroyed like his life was long ago.

Scorpius: 😢... W-well... I s-suppose, since Marshadow isn't a dragon... I-I'll work with you lot... for Marshadow.
Joshua: 😊 Great Scorpius! Now, I suggest we cadets return to the Academy to gather our fighting force. Scorpius, I think you and your forces remain here for the moment so as to ensure our regrouping when the time is right. We'll keep in touch, ok?
Scorpius: (Shakes head) Alright. We'll be here waiting for you.
