NOTE: PLEASE DO THE INTERACTIVE PARTS AT THE END!

Still missing his best friend, Stanley decided to video call him during rehearsal.

"Hey, man! How are ya feeling?"

"Better now that I see your face! What's everyone doing?"

"We're just rehearsing the big group number at the end!"

"Oh, cool! Let me see!"

"Put the phone on one of the chairs so you can join in too", said Miss Laine.

"Oh, hey Miss Laine!"

"Hiya, sweetie. How are you feeling?"

"A bit tired. I can't wait to see this dance though!"

Stanley placed his phone on one of the chairs and ran off the stage. Amethyst, Kennedy, Camryn and Eli stood by their instruments.

Darius wistfully stared at the space next to Eli.
The space he should be in.

The group launched into a performance of Determinate.
Stanley and Leonie ran on stage first, with Leonie smiling at a grinning Eli.

One by one, everyone ran on to the stage, and started to dance. Miss Laine smiled brightly as everyone danced in sync.

"Maxon, look up a little more!", she called out.

Maxon's tongue stuck out as he was in deep concentration.
His eyes met with Leonie's, and she stuck her tongue out at him.

Maxon laughed at this, and he became a lot more relaxed.
Amethyst rolled her eyes at this.

"Excellent work, everyone!", exclaimed Miss Laine.
She clapped her hands when everyone was in their final positions. "That's the best one yet!"

Everyone cheered. Weronika fist bumped Maxon and Isaac rugby tackled Camryn into a hug.

"Yes!", cheered Kennedy, before wrapping her arms around Leonie.

Miss Laine laughed sweetly at their genuine joy.
"I'm so very proud of you all, honestly.
I can't wait to see how you perform 'More Than A Band.' "

"Me too!
That's the most emotional song in Lemonade Mouth", said Leonie.

"You were amazing, Leonie!
You've really come in to your own", said Miss Laine.

Weronika nodded in agreement. "Yeah, you were great!"

"You're a fantastic dancer, Leonie.
I doubt you needed me to tell you that though", said Eli.

Amethyst felt her blood boil as everyone complimented Leonie. Amethyst had been working so much harder than her, and all anyone ever cared about was Leonie.

"She was great, wasn't she, Amethyst?", questioned Meredith.

"Just shut up!", she yelled.
"You're all acting like she's God's gift to the world!"

"Amethyst!", exclaimed Miss Laine.

"I've been working so hard, but someone as fake as her gets all the recognition!"

"Why do you keep calling her fake?", questioned Kennedy.
"She's not!"

"Oh, please! I know her type.
She gets everything handed to her! She puts on this act all the time but I know who she really is", replied Amethyst.

"So do you!", exclaimed Leonie.
"You act like you don't care about this production, but you really do."

"That doesn't make us the same", said Amethyst.

Leonie stepped closer to Amethyst. "Am-"

"-You're all on her side!", interjected Amethyst. She pointed an accusatory finger at the group.
"None of you care about me."

"That's not true!", said Meredith.

"She's right", said Eli.

Amethyst looked at Eli, and for a split second, she had calmed down. She looked into his eyes and saw genuine concern.
"Then choose."

Miss Laine shook her head.
"No, ok?
We're not going to do this."

"Choose", repeated Amethyst.
"Who's side are you on?"

Without hesitation, Kennedy marched over to Leonie.
"I'm sorry, Amethyst.
You're wrong about Leonie."

Amethyst rolled her eyes.
"I should've known."

Camryn scoffed and walked over to Leonie. She crossed her arms.
"You're a horrible person, Amethyst."

Isaac stayed rooted on the spot. Amethyst hadn't been terrible to him, but he knew he didn't like the way she treated Leonie.

He slowly walked over to Leonie.
He looked up at Amethyst.
'Sorry', he mouthed.

Meredith walked over to Leonie.
"I don't want to choose sides.
We shouldn't be divided like this, but... I don't think Leonie deserves this."

Leonie gave her a weak smile, but her eyes lingered on her for longer when she noticed she was smirking at Amethyst.

Amethyst sighed when she looked around at the empty space around her.
She couldn't help but feel embarrassed.

Weronika sighed.
"This is stupid", she said.
She walked over to Amethyst.
"She's been an idiot before, I know, but... we were friends at one point."

Amethyst smiled at Weronika, but the latter just looked down.

Stanley walked over to Leonie.
"I never really had a problem with you, Amethyst.
But Leonie's cool.
You haven't been lately."

"I thought we were friends", said Maxon.
"But I don't know if I can be friends with someone like you."

He walked over and joined Leonie's side.

All eyes were on Eli.

Eli's eyes were pools of sadness as he looked at the two girls.
"Please don't make me choose."

"It shouldn't be hard", said Camryn.

Eli closed his eyes and exhaled sharply. When he opened his eyes again, he turned to face Leonie. "Leonie, I think you're... so incredible. You're a great friend.
But... but I have to choose Amethyst."

Eli's choice well and truly shocked the others. Leonie just gave him a weak smile, but Camryn's eyes went dark.

"What the h*ll?
How can you side with her?
She's horrible!", argued Camryn.

"She's not like that. Not really."

"Bull cr*p.
If you're with her then you're against me", said Camryn.

She didn't mean to issue the ultimatum, but now that it was out, there was no going back.

A look of anguish appeared on Eli's face.
"Camryn, I... I'm sorry."

With his head low, he walked over to Amethyst's side.

Camryn's eyes widened.
She opened her mouth to speak, but no words came out.

"Is no one going to ask me?"

Stanley looked over at his phone. "Darius?"

Amethyst quickly turned to face him. "Darius?"

Darius clenched his jaw. Amethyst knew this meant he was angry.
"Why do you always have to do this? Why do you always need to hurt people?"

Amethyst frowned.
"I...", she started, before letting her words trail off.

"I'm team Leonie."

________________________________

Amethyst didn't know why, but hearing those words... she just snapped.

"You're all a bunch of d*cks!", she screamed, before glaring at Leonie. "No wonder your Dad left you, you're a joke!"

Leonie froze when all eyes were suddenly on her. It's not like she didn't believe Amethyst's words.

"Amethyst! That's enough!", warned Miss Laine.

Tears formed in Leonie's eyes, but she stepped closer to Amethyst.
"Why are you so sad and... and... pathetic?"

"Pathetic?"

"You hate me so much but I've never done anything wrong to you!
And now look.
You're all alone."

Amethyst stared at Leonie.
Her true colours had finally shown, but she didn't feel as good about it. Because Leonie was right.

She was alone.

"F*ck you", she said.

She turned around and ran out of the room before anyone could see her crying.

Leonie gasped and covered her mouth.
"What have I done?"

She looked around at the shocked expressions on everyone's faces.
"I-I... I need to go."

A lot went down in this chapter! This chapter and the next one are dedicated to addressing the relationship between Leonie and Amethyst.

I know this chapter was a lot, but there are only a few more left until the finale, so I'm trying to cram things in.

Eli's decision was probably the hardest one to make! How will he deal with the repercussions?

Who's side are you on? Or can you see both sides?
