"...and that concludes my epic adventure over the past three weeks," Norman concluded his tale. Everyone was welcomed back to reality with open arms, though Chloe was about to fall asleep on the other armchair. Shaking his head to rid himself of sleep, Max sat up straighter. Rubbing an itch on his nose, the Jack Russell terrier spoke, "Thank you for that wonderful story Norman."

"You're very welcome. But I'm still lost," Norman squeaked in a cheerful tone. For someone who hadn't seen his home in three weeks, he was pretty chipper. Then again, the guinea pig was probably the happiest animal on the planet, and the most optimistic too. Tapping his tail against the seat cushion thoughtfully, Max answered, "Just keep being positive, like you always do. I believe you can find your home. And we can help you too Norman, remember that." Dancing around on the coffee table, Norman chirped, "Thank you Dr. Max!"

"You're welcome Norman. Alright, who's next?" Max asked, looking around at the assembled pets. Almost everyone had gone by now. Mel had gone first with the squirrel incident this morning. Buddy then mentioned his concerns over the local mailman not getting the message to stay away. Chloe went next by immediately declaring she didn't have a problem. That led to a major discussion and almost war about how she needs help. Sweetpea didn't have anything to say so then Norman went. That left Gidget. Turning to the Pomeranian, Max asked, "Anything new with you Gidget?"

"Oh! Me?" Gidget yipped in surprise, her ears perking up. Her fluffy tail began to wag uncontrollably as she stuttered, "I... don't have anything for this session." She averted her gaze as her cheeks flushed red. Nodding his head in understanding, Max glanced over at the clock on the wall. Almost time for Katie to be home. Standing up, the Jack Russell terrier announced, "Alright guys, that's all the time we have for today."

"Oh thank god!" Chloe meowed, already sliding off the armchair. She was ready to leave. Escorting everyone to the dog flap, Max stated, "You all have a good night guys! I'll see you again tomorrow!" Slipping through the dog flap, Gidget sighed softly as she felt the warm sun on her fur. She trotted down the sidewalk with the other pets. Stealing a glance back at Max's house, Chloe blurted out, "Ask him out already girl." Practically jumping out of her skin, Gidget cried, "I can't do that!"

"Come on Katie, you should be home any minute now," Max muttered to himself. The Jack Russell terrier was sitting at the front door, waiting anxiously for it to swing open and his owner Katie to walk in. He loved his owner more than anything in the world. Nothing could ever get in between the two of them. The small dog was thinking about all of this when the door opened a little bit. Jumping up and down, Max barked, "Katie!"

"Hey Maximilian! How was your day buddy?" Katie asked, poking her head in through the door. She hadn't entered the house yet. Reaching down, she gave Max a kind scratch behind the ears as she spoke, "Okay Max, let's calm down. I have some big news- WOAH!" She cried out that last part when something huge hit the door, causing it to swing open. Max found himself staring at a very large mutt covered in brown fur.

"Max, this is Duke," Katie began introductions, "He's gonna be your brother!"
