Chapter 13

"Why don't you go next Merida?" Rapunzel suggested after a little while of happy chatter about her story.

"Oh, come on! What about meee?" Jack whined playfully. Mer smirked.

"In dat case, I will," she said, grinning. Hiccup and Rapunzel laughed, and Jack pouted.

"So, it all started one day when meh mum informed meh dat I was ta beh married ta one of the neighboring tribes' chief's eldest sons. I was ta select the event dat they were ta compete for meh hand in.

"Bein' meh, I chose archery an' competed myself. I, obviously, won. An' meh mum didn't take dat well... sheh burned meh bow an' I ran away.

"I ended up followin' da wisps ta a witch an' gettin' a spell to 'change meh mum's mind about meh marriage'. It actually turned her into a bear.

"So weh worked thru it, turned her back, an' sheh didn't make meh marry. All ended well.

"Hiccup an' I met again a few years back an' eventually got married. The end. Happily ever after," she finished, rather sarcastically, with a bit of relief mixed in for being done with it.

"Sooo, that's it? You turned your mom into a bear and got married, but you're just gonna glance over it like it's nothing?" Jack asked, slightly angrily.

"Well, I went ta Berk for trade, an' Hiccup took a fancy ta meh," Merida began. She was interrupted by Hiccup.

"I clearly remember you being the cause of the fight that caused Astrid to break up with me, because she was convinced that you liked me." Jack and Rapunzel gave each other, 'uh oh' looks, before turning back to the angry couple.

"You're blaming me for your failed love life? Would yu have rather married Astrid?" Jack and Rapunzel's eyes widened. This was gonna be baaaad.

"No! That's not what I meant! Why do you always take everything like it's me trying to blame you? Why are you always thinking that I think it's your fault? From thunderstorms to wars!" Hiccup yelled back.

"No! I do not! Yu are lying!"

"Am not!"

"Are too!"

"Am not!"

"Are too!"

"Am not!"

"Are-"

"Oh for goodness sake! Am not are too? Really? Have you never outgrown this? You're the Chief and Queen! Stop fighting like four year olds and act like civilized people!" Rapunzel yelled, interrupting them and standing up to glare down at them. They both looked down sheepishly and mumbled something.

Jack smirked. "Who wants to hear my story?"
