Violet held her stomach as hunger still rolled her stomach. She was left with no food at all.

-- Vincent's POV --

Vincent pulled over in Violet's driveway. Mike and Vincent quickly got out and ran to the door. Mike opened the front door and went inside with Vincent following. The same eerie feeling was still there.
"This place sure is creepy," Mike said. He started looking in the first floor while Vincent went upstairs. He looked around the halls and there was one door that was closed. The other doors were opened. He looked at the doorknob and it was locked. As he unlocked it, he heard something from the right door.
Vincent walked into the room he unlocked and quietly shut it. It wasn't locked so he could get out. He looked around the dark room and saw a person in a corner.
"Violet?" He said a little quietly. The person lifted its head and looked at Vincent.
"Vincent? You're here?" The person said. It was Violet because Vincent could tell by her voice. Her voice was very raspy.
"Yes. I'm here with Mike," Vincent said while coming closer to Violet. She hugged him tightly. She looked very hungry.
"How long were you locked in here? Who put you in here?" Vincent asked. He was a little scared.
"I don't remember how long it was but my ex boyfriend put me in here. You've already met him. The last time you came here, that was him," Violet said.
"I'll take you back to my house. You'll be okay," Vincent said while standing up. He picked up Violet from the ground and held her. She put her head close to his chest with her arms. She was shivering.
Vincent walked out of the room and heard a scream. He quickly went down the stairs with Violet in his arms and saw Mike on top of Violet's ex boyfriend. Mike was punching his face as hard as he could. His nose and lip bled as he punched.
"Mike!" Vincent exclaimed. Mike didn't even look up. He didn't even say a word. They must've been fighting while Vincent was getting Violet.
Mike stopped punching and got up. His eyes blazed with anger. He wiped the blood off of his mouth. He was panting too.
"That'll teach you a lesson," Mike said. I can't believe he took this guy down! He was smaller than him! How?!
Mike looked at Vincent and Violet. He walked past them, still panting.
"I'll meet you two in the car," Mike said while walking away. Violet's ex got up, warily. His face was bleeding. He walked away, shaking. Vincent was surprised on how Mike did that.
"Let's go now," Violet said. Her voice was still raspy.
"Right," Vincent said while walking out. Mike was already sitting in the passengers seat, his arms crossed. He looked as if he didn't even mind the blood. Vincent put Violet in the backseat and buckled her.
"I can't go back here," Violet said. She touched Vincent's cheek.
"Why?" Vincent asked.
"The rent is overdue. I don't have the money," Violet said solemnly.
"You can live with me. I'll pay the rent," Vincent said quickly. He shut the back door of the car and got inside the drivers seat. Violet and Mike stayed silent the whole car ride.
