In Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End, there is a character named Mistress Ching. She is inspired by the real-life chinese pirate captain Ching Shih. She controlled the entire South China Sea with her large pirate fleet. She was one of few female pirate captains and one of the few to retire from piracy.
