This update starts after Zamin convinces Sehar to come back to him for good. Watching him fold his hands before her and promising with utmost sincerity to make up for every little mistake he ever made in their relationship. Sehar couldnt resist to believe every word he was saying. A content Zamin put his arms around Sehar and they both walked out of the tomb.

******

Once reaching Zamin's parked car, a tired Sehar climbed inside it. Instantly her back sank deep inside the comfortable seat and her head leaned back against the headrest. Due to extreme fatigueness she struggled to strap up her seatbelt to which Zamin hovering over her pulled the belt and put it in the buckle. Sehar opened her eyes a fraction upon sensing his familiar cologne and breath near her mouth. A gallon of emotions opened inside her. Starring at his lowered gaze, as he was buckling her, she thought to herself:

"Maaloom nahi, kaise soch lia tha tum ne inn ke beghair apni poori zindagi guzarne ka".

[God knows how you had imagined living a life without him]

Unable to hold herself back, she lightly stroked his shoulders to which he lifted his dark downcast and smiled at her whilst palatably nuzzling her nose.

Getting inside the driver seat, he handed her something to eat and drink. Eying her with adoration as she gulped down her favourite kabab roll he asked her straight out with a smirk:

"Tumhaari tabiat kaisi hai? Kia ye sach hai meri jaan ke andar eik nayi jaan pal rahi hai?"

[ How is your health? Is it true my life is carrying a life inside her?]

Sehar chortled: "Saare symptoms hai, magar abhi tak test nahi kia" [ I have all the symptoms, but havent done a test yet], suddenly completing the sentence with a sad shiver thinking about her living conditions at shelter home as to why she still hadnt had a pregnancy test let alone go to a gynacologist.

Zamin shook his head over her state but held himself back to lecture her, instead he decided to talk about nicer things as he drove towards the shelter home where she was lodging to collect her belongings. Starting with the most relevant news of Hareem having realized to end their marriage to which an exhausted Sehar replied:

"Please mujhe waqt se pehle ummeed nahi di laye".

[Please dont give me hope in advance]

Nodding his head he told her how his mother is guilty about everything and that he allowed her to live with them alongside adding:

".........unn ki wajah se aaj maine tumhe dhoondh nikaala. Sehar, woh hamare saath zaroor rahaingi magar mai unn ki fitrat se bhi waqif hoon, abh ki baar mai tumhaari dhaal aur zubaan banoonga. Pehle bhi Rabia Tayi aur Ammi ki ke ehteraam (aur abbu ki planning) mai saaf saaf object nahi kar pata tha....! Magar abh mai seekh giya hoon, ke narmi magar firmly especially apni biwi ke liye stand lena chahiye...!

[.....its due to her, I found you today. Sehar, she will be living with us, but I am aware of her nature too. This time I will become your shielding and tongue. Previously I used to be mainly quite out of respect for Rabia aunt and my mum (and dad's planning). But now I have learned, when it comes to defending wife, with kindness yet firmly one should take a stand for wife]

Placing her hand over his she responded: " Aap ki jannat ko aap se door rakhne ka mai kabhi soch bhi nahi sakti; aur mujhe iss baat pe koi shaq bhi nah hai, ke aap mere liye dunya se larh jainge. Aap ki inn chamakti aankhon (stroking the corner of his eye) mai eik ajeeb si qowat iradi aur be-khaufi dikhti hai khuch arse se".

I cant ever imagine keeping your paradise away from you; and without doubt I can say that you would fight with the world for me. I can see in your beautiful shiny eyes (stroking the corner of his eyes) since quite some time a strange willpower and fearlessness]

Once reaching the shelter home, a run down house, located in an area in Karachi which Zamin so far had only heared of till date. On the way to her shared room, she met a group of women standing in corridor and fighting in strong language over some petty issue. Such scenarios always made Sehar's heart heavy and although she just spent 1 hour only in Zamin's polite and soft spoken company, she felt more than ever out of place here. Hastily she walked inside her room, where two of her roommates were smoking cigarettes (Warning: Smoking is injurious to health!) and ranting about men. Spotting Sehar, one of them came over to her and started caressing her hairstrands which were coming out of her dupatta. With an uneasy face Sehar stepped back as the girl spoke in an uneducated manner:

" Apni andar ki aag bhujaane aur kharcha poora karne ke liye kia khoob chaal chali, ameer mard se mil ke aarahi hona?! Expensive male parfuem ki khushboo tumhaare paas se aarahi hai".

[ To fulfill your sexual desire and cover expenses what game you played. Your coming from meeting a rich man, right? Your smelling of expensive male fragarance]

Sending a forgiveness prayer to Allah (for having unnecassary come to this place), she replied with pride that her husband came to pick her.

Meanwhile Zamin had started to worry as to why Sehar still hadnt come out yet. With hasting steps he walked inside to enquire about his beloved wife. Watching his genuine concerned face, the watchman allowed him inside. Immidiately he went to the office room, where a snobby woman chewing paan ( leaves of the betel plant wrapped around tobacco, fruit, etc)  swore and cursed him, accusing him for having left his lover, to which he immidiately corrected her:

" Mai apni Izzat, apni Biwi ko lene aaya hoon. Please mujhe Sehar (Mrs Zamin) ko bula dije."

[ I am here to collect my honour, my wife. Please call her down]

As he was made to wait in the waiting room with glassdoors, he looked around and within moments he was left gobsmacked at the environment of the place. Part of him felt sorry for the women here, another part of him vowed to himself to do everything in his power, so that Seher never has to return to this place to seek shelter. Letting out a sigh, he walked back inside the office room and handed the warden a decent amount donation cheque.

Soon Sehar came down and met Zamin in waiting room. Facilitated he took out the earrings from his pocket (which he had originally planned to give her once she would inform him about her confirmed pregnancy) and put it on her. Once done he implored:

"Sehar, waada karo ke tum yahan kabhi bhi muqeem banne ka sochogi bhi nahi aainda. Ye jagah tumhaare liye nahi banni hai. Tumhaari jagah mere ghar ki malqan ban ke rehna hai, sajna sawarna (touching her earrings) aur apne nakhre mujh se uthwaana hai....".

[Sehar, promise me you will never consider becoming a residentiary here in future. This place is not made for you. Your place is becoming the queen of my home, getting dolled up (touching her earring) and be spoilt and pampered by me...]

Just when they were about to walk out, (the warden and few elderly ladies had gathered outside the meeting room and looked at them longingly) all of them approached them and wished Sehar a happy married life alongside adding, that no place is more safe and happier than beside a husband, whose willing to lay down his life for you. At last the wardan apologised to Zamin for her rude behaviour.

----

Finally Zamin and Sehar reached their home where Munazza was awaiting them. Putting a protective arm around Sehar's shoulder who looked nervously at him, he walked with her inside the house. Immidiately Munazza approached them and thanked Zamin for bringing the life of the home back, to which Zamin nodded at his mother. Than turning towards Sehar, she hugged her and apologised for all her wrongdoings especially for not having her accepted as her daughter-in-law instantly. With a tear rolling down Munazzas face she asked Sehar what can she do for her to redeem her mistakes. Zamin putting his arm around Sehar's shoulder again intrupted:

"......humai aap ka saath chahiye, please mujhe kabhi roqna nahi Sehar ko apne pairon pe khara karne ke liye. Uss ka career establish karna meri hayat mai. Kisi ka mohtaaj nahi banana usse aur nahi kisi ke rehmo qaram pe chourh ke jaana."

[.....we want your support, please never stop me in making Sehar indepandant. I want to help her establish her career whilst I am alive. Dont want to make her depandant on anyone nor leave her at someones mercy]

Sehar's eyes filled with tears as he was talking about his life in past tense.

Wholeheartedly Munazza accepted Zamin's request , not only that but she also sent them away to their bedroom with the cake box (which Zamin had brought on the way to home) after mealtime.

Once Zamin locked the bedroom door behind them, Sehar let out a giggle pointing at the cake box:

" ... ye kis khushi mai?! Abhi khuch (pregnancy) confirmed nahi hai? Kal doctor ke yahan jaoungi"

[...for which happy occassion in this? My pregnancy is not confirmed yet. I will visit doctor tomorrow]

Zamin grabbing her by waist pulled her closer to him and presented her a pregnancy home kit and spoke next to her ear:

"...No matter what the result will be, theres still so much to celebrate today; tumhaara ghar lautna aur recently hamari wedding anniversary guzri hai"

[....., your home return and recently our wedding anniversary passed too]

Suddenly furrowing his brows he pulled her away and looked into her eyes whilst holding her hands he spoke further carefully:

" Sehar, tumhaara kia khiyaal hai humari wedding anniversary ke baare mai? Early celebration ya eik din baad ya phir...."?

[Sehar, what have you thought about our wedding anniversary? Early celebration or one day before or.....?]

Sehar with brave heart but wiping a small tear: " Abbu ki barsi ka din (she recalled).... thank you Zamin ke aapne itna ehsaas kia. Mujhe humari anniversary 18th january ko hi celebrate karni..... Baba ki ahri khuwahish thi ke aap mujh se shaadi kar le....unn ko aap pe bohot maan tha...woh iss dunya se bohot khush gaye. Future mai humari anniversary waale din mai subha ka waqt unn ki bakhshish ke liye dua wagerah karongi aur phir baaqi ka din aap ke naam".

[Dad's death anniversary, thank you for your consideration. I want to celebrate our wedding anniversary on 18th january......... It was my dad's last wish that you marry me...he had  alot of regard for you....he left this world very happily. In future on our wedding anniversary day, I will pray etc for his forgiveness in the mornings and after that the rest of day will be dedicated in your name.]

As she was about to walk towards the bathroom with the test kit, Zamin pulled her back into a hug and in emphatic tone:

"Woh mere bhi chacha thai, mai bhi unn ke liye humari anniversary waale din dua karoonga. Hydrabad door hai warna qabar pe hi jaata".

[He was my uncle too, I too will pray for his forgiveness on our wedding anniversary day. Hydrabad is far otherwise I would have visited the graveyard on that day]

And with this he let her go to the attached bathroom in their room. Quickly she peed inside a disposable cup and once she laid out the pee dipped strip on the box, setting a 3 minutes timer and with nervous steps she went out to get Zamin, who was preparing a small surprise in bedroom.

Dragging him inside the bathroom, they sat down on the edge of the bathtub keeping their fingers intertwined.

With each passing second Sehar's nervousness grew to which Zamin tightened his grip around her fingers with Sehar constantly murmuring with tears spilling from her eyes:

" Please Zamin, dua kare ke test positive ho, taake mera ye baat baat pe bhaag jaane ka sil sila bhi bandh ho...aur humara Nikaah/Talaq ka issue bhi solve ho".

[Please Zamin, pray for positive result, so that I may stop running away from home on every other matter... and also our marriage contract/divorce issue gets solved too]

Zamin patting her hand: " Humare Nikah ko khuch nahi hoga maine eik pal k liye bhi nahi socha tumhai chorne ka, khulanaama sign karna toh door ki baat hai, aur bhi khuch shartain poori nahi hui hai ke khula hosake.. Allah khuch logo ko hidayat de ke itne sensitive topics ke saath nahi khaile. Kisi religious scholar se jaa ke consult bhi kar lainge".

[Nothing will happen to our marriage contract, I didnt even consider for a split second to part from you let alone  sign the divorce papers. Besides that a few more conditions havent met either for the Islamic divorce (innitiated by a woman) to be valid. May God guide certain people not to play with such sensitive topics. Also we will consult a religious scholar for  confirmation/clarification.]

Finally the timer rang and they both got up together and looked at the test strip on which 2 dark lines were visible. Putting her hand over her mouth she bursted into tear as she clinged onto her husband's neck. Closing her eyes in relief and happiness she slowly calmed down in his embrace. Meanwhile Zamin too was letting out breaths of relief and noticed happiness spread inside him.

All the while he couldnt help but to compare his feelings from when he received this kind of news few months ago from his soon-to be ex- second wife (Hareem). With a half smile he couldnt help but admit to himself, that true happiness over such news only comes when the product (baby) is the outcome of love between a husband and wife. Lost in thoughts as he caressed Sehar's back and gave her small pecks on her hair, he was wondering what she might be thinking about him regarding their pregnancy news, was she thinking of Hareem too?! How should he show reaction about the baby news, because in true sense he didnt receive this news first time in his life unlike Sehar.

Sehar noticing his stiffness, realized that this the second time in his life he received this news and may be hes thinking of the miscarriage of his first unborn and all the other drama attached to that chapter of his life. Deciding to enquire about his state, she pulled away from his embrace and looked in his handsome face which as she had expected was a mixture of happiness and pent-up. Lifting his chin all the while looking into his eyes she spoke in soothing tone:

"Zamin, apne jazbaat nahi chupai..... woh bhi eik Nikah ka bandhan tha, khuch na-jaiz nahi hua tha. Ye aap ke liye second time pregnancy news hai, embrace it, khul ke iss ka izhar aise kare. Kia hua jo aap ke liye ye feeling itni new nahi hai jitni mere liye".

[Zamin, dont hide your emotions...that was a marriage contract too, nothing impermissible  had happened there either. This is your second time pregnancy news, embrace it  openly this way. So what that this feeling is not as new for you as it is for me.]

As she was talking as though she was reading every thought lingering on his mind, his lips trembled due to surpressing his cries inside.

Unable to say anything and mentally too exhausted to think further, he pulled her into a tight hug and let his tears flow; tears of being blessed with a soulmate who understands his innermost, tears of gratitude for soon going to be a parent especially with his most beloved Sehar, tears for his baby that never made it into this world, tears for the moments and things which he would have only wished to have experienced with Sehar (though she was understanding).

With Sehar patting his back, he recalled with a half smile that shouldnt he be comforting, pampering and congratulating her instead of her consoling him. Wiping his tears with the back of his thumb, he pulled away from her and just studied her for a moment before sweeping her off her feet and twirling with her to which they both laughed and Zamin gave her a wide smile:

"Mai bohot khush hoon Sehar, bohot bohot ziada".

[I am so happy Sehar , so so so happy]

Sehar wanting to keep his happy spirit alive pointed towards the bathroom exit:

" Mr Haseen father-to-be , aise nahi chalega, I want to see the surprise in bedroom jo aap ne kamre mai anjaam dia hai..".

[Mr. gorgeous father-to-be, not this way. I want to see the surprise which you have prepared in room]

Opening the bathroom door he escorted her out in bridal style and gently placed her back on feet facing the bed. Finally she took a close look at the bed , which had ballons hanging down with cards, lamps being the only light in room, the cake inside the box awaiting to be cut. Sehar was left awstruck at the cute, elegant, romantic yet classy decor absolutely suiteable for the events and moments of today.

Zamin wrapping his arms around her chest from behind spoke next to her temple:

"Abh toh khushi ka izhaar kar sakta hoona.....I am soooooooo happy, itne dino baad iss kamre mai roshni mehsoos ho rahi hai, thank you for coming in my life (grabbing the Nr.1 balloon he put it on her wrist which made her chuckle), (grabbing a transparent balloon he brought it in front of her stomach) thank you mujhe aulaad ki itni bari khushkhabri suna ne ke liye and most off all mujh pe aaj bharosa kar ke ghar aane ke liye (grabbing a balloon and removing its card in which he had written a poem for her in her absence) and gave her the card.

[Can I now express my happiness. I am soooooooo happy, after many days, I can feel light in the room. Tank you for coming in my life (grabbing the Nr.1 balloon he put it on her wrist which made her chuckle), (grabbing a transparent balloon he brought it in front of her stomach) thank you for giving me the good news of  baby  and most of all having faith in me and coming back home  grabbing a balloon and removing its card in which he had written a poem for her in her absence) and gave her the card.]

Reading the short poem all the while studying his beautiful handwriting, she allowed happy tears to flow out as Zamin kept starring at her.

With a chuckle she reminded him of the cake to which he got up and brought it in front of her. As he was feeding her the last bite of the scrumptious oreo cream cake, suddenly her eyes filled with tears. Tenderly wiping them away, he questioned her:

"Apni Ammi ko yaad kar rahi ho? ( Sehar nodded through tears).

 [Are you missing your mum?]

Zamin continued emphatically:" Mai Maa ki jagah toh nahi le sakta hoon aur naa hi tumhai (apni) Ammi ke hawale karna chahta hoon. Tumhaara koi bhi maamla Allah ke siwa kisi ke hawale nahi karna abh (boht bari qeemat aada kar chuka hoon). Aur mai waada karta hoon tumse, mai tumhaara bohot khiyaal rakhoonga. Tum mere saath apni saari feelings aur fears share kar sakti ho. Medical guidance ke liye doctors se raabta kar lia karainge. Apne khoob laad uthwana mujh se, khoob khidmate karwana... kabhi bhi khuch bhi maang sakti ho... chahe cheez ho ya waqt ho ya attention.... aur shuruat abhi".

[I cant take the place of a mother, neither want to hand you over to my mother. I dont want to hand any of your matters anymore  to anyone ( already paid a heavy price for it) except God. I promise you, I will look after you well. You can share all your feelings and fears with me. For medical guidance we will seek doctors help. Demand from me to pamper you alot, make me do alot of your work... you can ask me for anything anytime.....be it a thing, time or attention... and the beginning of it all starts now]

And with this he got her changed into nightwear and held her close to his chest for a while. Hugging him tightly back as her tears subsided she spoke softly:

"Thank you for everything Zamin, kisi ko ehemiat dena aur lamhon ko khaas banana koi aap se seekhe" .

[......., to make someone feel valued and making moments memorable, one should learn from you]

Feeling lighthearted her playfulness was back as she winked at him: "Mr Romantic, kahan se ye ideas le aate hai"  [ Mr Romantic, where do you get these ideas from] and with this she disappeared in the bathroom to freshen up leaving a grinning Zamin behind, who tidied the bed to call it a night for both of them.

Although it was a long day full with emotional rollercoaster ride, sleep refused to come for Sehar. In the silence she felt pulling, cramping and many other movements inside her stomach area. Annoyed and a little worried she tossed and turned and let out deep breaths. Zamin noticing her restlessness, went closer to her and engulfed her in his embrace so that they were in spoon position.

In the serenity of his arms, she tilted her head to look into his clear orbs and felt the urge to tell him a deep secret which she has been carrying around. Leaning more into him:

"Zamin, aaj mujhe aap ko apni sab se bari kamzoori batani; aap ko pata hai jab bhi maine aap ki dehlize chorhi, aur phir jahan bi gayi kabhi ghar ka ehsaas nahi hua. Hamesha andar eik musafir hone ki kaifiat rehti thi. Beshak Iftikhar house aur khuch arse ye ghar mai bhi meri self respect ko bohot thais pohonchti thi, magar jahan aap ka ird gird mehsoos hota tha, andar eik manzil pe hone ka ehsaas aata tha. Aur jab bhi aap ne meri taraf aata hua thappar ya tazleel rok laite thai, mera dil aap ki taraf kheenchta chala jaata tha. Zamin, aap se dour reh kar mai bohot adhuri aur be-ghar mehsoos karti hoon/thi. Aur haan aik aur aiteraaf... mai jhoot bolti thi ke mujhe...mere dil ko aap ki zaroorat nahi hai/thi.......".

Zamin, today I want to reveal a weakness of mine;whenever I left your residencies, and wherever I went from there  to stay I never felt home. Always had the feeling of a traveller within me. No doubt at Iftikhar house and even in this house for sometime, my self-respect would be  diminished, but whenever I felt your presence around I would feel destination arrived inside me. And whenever you prevented a slap or insult towards me (by others), my heart would pull towards you rapidly. Zamin, being away from you I feel /felt so incomplete and homeless. And yes one more confession..I lied to you that I... my heart doesnt/didnt need you...]

Once she confessed her most treasured secret, she tilted her head and looked him directly in the eye. A rush of love overcame him as he carefully lied on top of her; raking his fingers through her frontal hairline replying in the most affectionate tone:

"Mere nazdeek ye aap ki kamzouri nahi thi, balke aap ke dil pe meri Mohabbat ka nishana lag gia. Ye nishan toh mai kabhi mitne nahi doonga...promise".

[For me this was not your weakness, rather it is my love which left an imprint on your heart. I will never let this mark be vanished...promise]

Mature scene (until **********)

In deeply relaxed state, she nestled her back further against his muscular bare chest so that he was the bigger spoon and she the smaller one. Holding her tight in dark with the moonlight being the only light in the room, they exchanged soulful kisses and leisure grinding against each other. Tenderly intertwinding their fingers with Sehar kissing his hand and him in return bringing her hand closer to his lips and placing soft kisses on her hand. Soaking in sensuality, Sehar buried her head further in the crook of his neck and with her free hand alongside Zamin's help she wriggled herself out of her clothes. Zamin feathery stroked her arm all the way down to her hip. His touch was making her eyelids heavy with sleep and arousal. Soon she fell into a deep slumber as Zamin continued giving her soft kisses on her neck and  below the earlobe. Once he was sure she was in tight sleep, he cuddlled her and allowed sleep to consume him.

2 hours later:

The "construction" work in Sehar's stomach started again, which immidiately broke her sleep. Irritated she turned to Zamin and watched his peaceful sleeping face. To divert her mind, she recalled the delicious feeling during spooning before they fell asleep. As she traced his features (which she often does whilst hes sleeping) with delicate fingers, out of the blue she remembered a one- liner by him from their consummation night. Chuckling at the memory she slid up by his ear and whispered in the same manner he did:

"...fantasy sunna toh suno.... mujhe neend se jagaye aur kahe ke abhi ke abhi karna...ya neend mai seduce kare". [You want to hear a fantasy than listen....wakes me up from sleep and says to do it (sex) now or seduces me in sleep]

Placing gentle kisses and soft bites on his biceps to loosen his deep sleep, contendly yet sleep drunk he turned her in spoon position again and with some moving adjustment, his hard found its way inside her soft (vagina). Letting out a soft moan she snuggled deeper with her back to him as he gently moved against her whilst his fingers found its way to her burning lust spot. An erected Sehar turned her head towards him to which he immidiately captured her lips and made love to them in the rhytm of his finger movement. Forgetting every other happening inside her body, she allowed herself to be carried away in the soulful melting of their bodies. Finally her body found complete peace and she slept the night through without further intruption by her body.

*********

Next morning, during breakfast time Munazza noticed Sehar's glowing face and disinterest in food. A promising smile escaped Munazza's lips but she kept mum. Zamin who was busy eying how his darling wife was moving the food in her plate without eating. Spreading some cream cheese on bread, he nudged her to open her mouth to let him feed her. On his insistance she obeyed and accepted the bite. However less than a minute later she felt quesy and ran to bathroom (in hall) and vomitted her entire stomach content. Within seconds Zamin followed her to bathroom and patted her back lovingly and apologised repeatedly.

Sehar with tears in eyes wiping her mouth: " Aap ko keh rahi thi na ke nahi khana khuch bhi....".  [Wasnt I saying, I dont want to eat anything]

Zamin: "Sorry meri Jaan, mujh se tumhaara bhooka rehna dekha nahi jaata hai, tum hai aur tumhaare andar pal ne waali Jaan ko, dono ko achi khauraak ki zaroorat hai... lekin chalo aainda subha ke waqt mai ziada nahi insist karoonga....".

[Sorry my love, I cant bear you hungry, you and the little one inside of you both need a good diet....but ok next time I wont insist too much at morning time...]

As the loved up couple were discussing in bathroom with the door a little ajar, Munazza was able to overhear almost every word. Her heart pinched a little when she heard Zamin talk about the Jaan [life] inside Sehar confirming her (Munazza) suspicion. However she reminded herself, that the way she treated them uptil now, its not surprising that they havent disclosed such a big news to her yet. Vowing to join in their happiness anyway instead of taunting etc she walked away and arranged a quick celebration.

Once the loved up couple came out of the bathroom, with Zamin supporting Sehar by lightly putting his arm around her back, Munazza called them over in living room. Making them both sit down, she put a flower garland around Sehar's neck than fed her some mithai after that she fed Zamin too and congratulated them. The matching duo looked into each other's eyes with surprise to which Munazza cheerfully told them to close the door next time when having a secret conversation. And with this she told Zamin to feed Sehar sweet in front of her instead of questioning them how long they have known about the pregnancy news. As the loved up duo fed each other than Munazza some Mithai, she sent out thanks prayers to Allah for having blessed with a son, who has accepted her back in to his life despite her not having been the best mother all her life. Also she was very grateful to Allah how Sehar cared and loved her son.

3 weeks later:

The post man rang the door bell and handed a registered by hand envelope adressed to Zamin. Quickly he scribbled his signature on the postman's electronic device. With a thumping heart he immidiately opened the letter......
