I could hear people murmuring around me but my eyelids were heavy, needing sleep at the moment but their words caught my attention, "Why aren't you confessing to him? Why are you hiding?" It was Kyle. I could easily recognise him when the other voice replied, "You know I can't. I can't put his life in danger. I can't be selfish when I love him." I definitely knew the voice it was familiar... But I couldn't remember.

"But, why are you running away?" once again Kyle questioned her with an authoritative voice. "I can't stay here and remind him. The last time he'd seen me, how it had ended, you know very well about it." She spoke. Her voice, calculative about the words she was.

"What happened, huh? Your crazy lover tried to make his attempt to murder him look like an accident?" Kyle's words making her breathe heavily... I could hear her taking deep breaths.

"Because of me, he almost died Kyle. How can I take the risk again? Anyways I have a habit of falling in danger" she said softly.

I really wanted to open my eyes at this moment but still I kept them close to hear more.

When Kyle said," But why don't you let him find his own memories and the truth? Why did you tell his parents to marry him off to Jane? Why don't you let him get the answers to the questions running in his head? Doesn't he deserve to know? And... about the accident or as I would like to say the so called attempt to murder, none of it was your fault. So, stop taking the blame yourself." His anger evident in his voice.

She let out a tired sigh, "You know she'll be better for him. I'm going away for two months on a business trip."

By this time, I was definitely awake.

"Oh! And run away from his wedding?"
Kyle questioned sarcastically and she let out another audible sigh.

And that's when her lips touched. The same soft pair of lips which was haunting my dreams.

"This will be my last forehead kiss for him. Because soon, he'll be someone else's."

And just when she was moving away, my eyes fluttered open.
