Q. Are the character designs in your SoulCalibur 5 Godzilla Warriors video the first ones you created?

A. No, these are probably the second or third designs. Like I said, I had no intention of making a story using these characters when I was making them up, so I kind of went crazy. Godzilla had two axes instead of a katana, Rodan had bat wings, and Mothra had pure white hair rather than white with a brunette streak. I made the character designs you see in the video long after the series had gotten pretty popular.

Q. Do you agree that a gun based character would ruin the balance of SoulCalibur?

A. Technically, there already is one. Cervantes has a gun in one of his swords. But while I think a character who uses only guns wouldn't fit in the series, I think it could work if they used guns as well as a melee weapon. For example, I've said multiple times that Deadpool would make a good guest character. And before you say that it wouldn't make sense since Deadpool's from a different time, remember that Darth Vader was a guest character.

Q. What would you do with Godzilla from your series if you could meet him?

A. Probably I'd ask him how he managed to get into the real world in the first place. Then, I'd try to prevent someone like Ghidorah, Slattern, Bagan, or Desghidorah from coming to the real world after him. Then I don't know what. I think he'd have more questions for me than I would have for him. Though I would like to see his reaction to a Godzilla movie.
