For those who don't know, SiIvagunner is a YouTube channel which specializes in "high quality videogame music rips". In reality, the videos on this channel are bait and switch videos. The videos are actually remixes, usually containing many internet memes and jokes, especially the "Grand Dad" meme. Unfortunately, the channel closed down recently, but I thought I'd give my thoughts on my top 10 favourite videos from one of the greatest meme master on the internet. 

10: Tie Between We are Number One and We are Number One (Beta Mix) - Lazy Town

The first entry on this list is a tie between two remixes of the same song, which is the song "We are Number One" from the children's TV show Lazy Town. The first remix is a goldmine of MLG memes, while the second one is a pretty awesome metal remix. I wasn't sure which one I liked better, so I just had them as a tie. I put them so low on the list because unlike other entries on this list, they are not originally from video games, but instead a TV show. They're still amazing and hilarious. The Beta Mix also includes melodies from the Flinstones Theme and "Snow Halation" from Love Live, SiIvagunner trademarks.

9: Athletic Theme (PAL Version) - Super Mario World

This is one of the first SiIvagunner videos I ever saw. I was so confused. If you can't tell, the song is a remix of the famous Athletic theme from Super Mario World, remixed to sound like the Witchdoctor Song. It starts of pretty normal at first, but eventually devolves into madness. And the madness sounds hilarious. It's also pretty funny how alike the songs sound when you think about it. 

8: Creative Exersize - Mario Paint

You Vinesauce fans will get a kick out of this one. The main part of the remix is that the main notes are replaced with Joel from Vinesauce saying "Who's been drawing dicks". It doesn't make much sense out of context, but it still sounds pretty amazing. I just like how well Joel's voice matches up with the melody. The sound clip is originally from his video in which he messes around with Windows XP, in particular, MS Paint. Also, if you listen closely, you can hear SiIvagunner's trademark Flinstones' theme.

7: Snow Halation - Love Live

This was one of the songs uploaded when the channel was ending. It's originally from the anime/video game Love Live, and includes actual singers. This is probably one of the most complex remixes SiIvagunner's ever done. Obviously, it can't just be the regular song, and has references to the Flinstones sprinkled throughout. Starting to see a pattern here?

6: Nintendo GameCube Startup

Probably one of the shortest remixes on the channel, this one is more of a mashup. You'll probably be able to recognize the distinct melody of Micheal Jackson's song "Smooth Criminal". What I love about this video is just how well the two songs sync up. It's pretty short, so there isn't much to talk about here.

5: Pause Screen - Wario World

On the flipside, this is probably one of the longest SiIvagunnner videos out there. At 50 minutes, I can barely identify all of the memes jam packed into this thing. I managed to recognize Banjo Kazooie, Seinfeld, Nyan Cat, Tetris, Pokemon, "Get Lucky" by Daft Punk, Asgore's theme from Undertale, the Steven Universe Theme, "Fireflies" by Owl City, "All Star" by Smash Mouth, and of course, the Flinstones theme just as I was flipping through random parts of the video. If you can identify all of the songs parodied in the video, you... win a cookie I guess.

4: Bonetrousle (Day 1 Patch) - Undertale

It was only a matter of time. SiIvagunner has done takes on many songs from Undertale, but this one is my favourite. It's a remix of Bonetrousle, also known as Papyrus' theme, but remixed to sound like "We are Number One" from Lazy Town, which we talked about earlier. What I find funny about this one is again, how similar the songs sound, and how well they go together. It's almost too good. 

3: DK Rap (Gorilla Version) - Donkey Kong Country 64

This one is another mashup, sort of. At first, it seems like some one has just added the melody of "Feel Good Inc." by Gorillaz to the lyrics of the DK rap from Donkey Kong 64, but as you continue to listen you realize that the lyrics have been altered so that the voices talk about more vulgar topics, as well as make references to DK's "coconut dong". Of course, there's also references to the infamous gorilla meme, Harambe. The DK rap is a staple on the SiIvagunner channel, but this one is my favourite. 

2: Unknown from M.E. - Sonic Adventure

"You can call me Knuckles, unlike Sonic I don't chuckle." If you've ever played Sonic Adventure, these strange lyrics mean a lot to you. In this remix, it's only the tip of the iceberg. Like the DK rap, the lyrics have been changed to say different things than normal, including making multiple references to Knuckles' chuckles and knuckles. When I first heard this remix, I had to leave the room because of how loud I was laughing. Also, there are multiple references to Love Live for some reason, including the infamous "Nico Nico Nii" meme. 

1: Windy Hill Zone 1 (Beta Mix) - Sonic Lost World

My number one pick is obviously my favourite SiIvagunner song. It includes references to multiple memes and songs, including Soulja Boy, All Star, Gagnam Style, the DK rap, Space Jam, Snow Halation, I Play Pokemon Go, the Flinstones Theme, We are Number One, Live and Learn, Rickroll, A Thousand Miles, Crawling, and many others. Plus, it just sounds really nice. This remix obviously took a really long time to make. To me, the song gets really good about 3 minutes in, where all the memes just kind of meld into one. To me, this is the ultimate tribute to everything SiIvagunner was about.
