Top 10 Things I'd like to see in Pokemon Gen 7 (Sun and Moon)

Pokemon Sun and Moon have officially been announced, and Pokemon fans all over the world couldn't be happier. X and Y were awesome, and if these new games are using the same engine, they're probably gonna be just as good. But there are some things I'd like to see in the first Gen 7 games, and here they are.

10: More Character Customization

Pokemon X and Y added customizable characters, with skin colours, hairstyles, and clothing. These were pretty cool, but the customization system was lacking slightly. I'm not saying I want like Fallout 4 or Soul Calibur 5 levels of customization (thought that would be awesome), but I'd like some more freedom with the options. Maybe more varied clothing items, more hairstyles, and more colour options for both hair and skin tone. Another thing that would be interesting would be clothing items based off of classic Pokemon trainers. Even if these were DLC, I'm sure people would buy them. I know I would.

9: Gen 4 Underground Bases

Gen 4 games had a mini-game sort of option where you could go underground and mine for gemstones, fossils, and whatever else was buried there. You could also make a base, similar to Gen 3, though only underground, and you could connect to friends and visit each others bases. You could also set traps for each other in the catacombs of the caves. I'd love to see this come back. It was a lot of fun, and added a lot of post-game content and connectivity. With updated graphics, it could also look really cool.

8: A New Console Game

Previous Pokemon Generations had an accompanying console game, where you could battle Pokemon caught in the handheld game, but with HD graphics (for the time). Red, Blue, Gold, and Silver had Stadium and Stadium 2 for the N64, Ruby and Sapphire had Coliseum for the Gamecube, and Diamond and Pearl had Battle Revolution for the Wii. Black and White didn't have a console game to go along with it, and neither did X and Y. But I think having a console game for Sun and Moon would be pretty interesting, especially with the NX coming out. I just hope it isn't as boring as Battle Revolution.

7: A Second Region

In Gold and Silver, you could visit the Kanto region as well as the Johto region. This added almost a whole other games worth of post-game content, which has never been recreated in other Pokemon generation. I'd like to see another post-game region in Sun and Moon. Kanto would make sense, seeing as it was from the first generation. I can't see Johto happening, and we already just got a Hoenn remake. I can't see Sinnoh or Unova happening either (thought I'd love to see Sinnoh again, seeing as it was my first Pokemon generation). The only other region I could imagine in the game would be Kalos from X and Y. This would make sense seeing as we're apparently not getting a Pokemon Z. Maybe it could be something similar to the Delta Episode from ORAS.

6: A Darker Storyline

This is just a personal thing. I've noticed that Pokemon games have progressively gotten darker and darker. X and Y had a guy literally try to kill the entire human race and introduced a huge ancient Pokemon war, and Black and White, the games before that, delved into the ethics of Pokemon training, comparing it to animal abuse. I'd love for the game to get darker still. I don't know what they could do, but I think a darker storyline would be awesome.

5: More Mega Evolutions

Pretty self explanatory, but there are some specific Pokemon I'd like to see Mega Evolutions for the Sinnoh starters, the legendary bird trio, the legendary beast trio, Staraptor, Dragonair, Mew, Eevee, Zoroark, Gothitelle, Darkrai, the Unova starters, Genesect, and Raichu.

4: Amiibo support

I'm not sure how Amiibo would be supported in the game. I did have one idea, which would use Amiibo to unlock new clothing items, depending on which Amiibo you use (Mario unlocks a Mario cap, Sonic unlocks Sonic's sneakers, Inkling unlocks a Splatoon T-shirt, etc.), or if you use Pokemon Amiibo, you could get special aesthetic equipment for those Pokemon (Pikachu would unlock the Luchadore Pikachu outfit, Mewtwo would unlock Mewtwo's armour from Mewtwo Strikes Back, etc.) There could be special Amiibo cards which resemble regular Pokemon cards.

3: Post-game content

Lets face it; after you beat any Pokemon game, it get's really really boring. X and Y had some really good post-game content with the Booker missions, and ORAS had the Delta Episode, but I think Sun and Moon should have something a little bit longer if it wants to be a celebration of Pokemon. Like I said earlier, adding a new region would add a lot of content to the game, and make it easier to catch Pokemon.

2: Battles with Past Trainers

This is another personal thing. I'd love to fight some past trainers from the previous games, rendered in the polygonal 3D graphics of modern Pokemon. In Gold and Silver, you could fight Red after you beat the game, but how cool would it be to have the Elite Four all be trainers from previous games, and then fighting the Champion: Red. Obviously, he'd be a little older now, but he'd still have all his Pokemon from Gold and Silver. But fighting other trainers and characters from the game would be cool too. What if we could fight some of the Gym Leaders from the first game, or encounter the fan-favourite (for some reason) N from Black and White? Again, if they want this game to be a 20th anniversary Pokemon celebration, this would make sense.

1: All Legendaries

With this being the 7th Pokemon generation, there will now be 16 Mascot Legendaries, 18 Trio Legendaries, and an absolute butt-ton of Pseudo-Legendaries and Event Pokemon. And in some way, all of them should be available and catchable in Sun and Moon. Well, maybe some of the Mascot Legendaries could only be available in Sun and some available in Moon. This may be asking too much, but I think a lot of people, including myself, would really appreciate it.

Honourable Mention: Following Pokemon

This isn't something I think would improve the experience, but I'd kinda like to see the following Pokemon aspect from the Gen 2 remakes. Then again, the game's gonna be in 3D, meaning they'd have to make tiny 3D models with individual animations for every Pokemon, which by that point would be over 800, and make them follow the player through the whole game. It may be asking too much, but I really enjoyed it in Heart Gold and Soul Silver. It's not something major, though, so I didn't include it in my major list.
