Everest walked in the woods. She saw what seemed like a non-binary adult figure.

They were surrounded by kids. She assumed that she's in an orphanage and walked to the adult.

Everest: Um...hi?

They looked up to see her and the kids did the same. Everest felt a shiver up her spine.

She plastered a smile on her face but it's obvious that she's shivering in fear
caused by awkwardness.

The genderqueer looked at her with a
"What's wrong?" expression. She didn't answer, she doesn't know what to say.

Everest: I'm sorry if I'm bothering you with these children.

Unknown: You're not bothering me nor my children.

Everest: You're...children?

Unknown: Yes, my children. I'm their mother.

Everest: But you don't fully look like a woman.

Unknown: *Sighs* Have you ever heard of "adoption"?

Everest: Uh, right...

Another bullet of awkwardness shot Everest. She can't think of anything to say.

Everest: I-Im Everest in case you wanna know.

Unknown: Oh, then I'm Ehakatl.

Everest: That's a... really complicated name. But it's suits you I guess.

Ehakatl: Okay then.

Having enough with the awkwardness, she said goodbye and ran off.
