<7 Years Ago...>

I walked through a small port town called Hargeon.

"You must see for yourself what this world has in store for you, Cloud."

"I wonder where you went... Thundrum..." I mumbled. "I miss you..." I said under my breath. "...?" I smelled a familiar, unforgettable scent... That of... A dragon?! I instantly looked around, trying to figure out where it came from. My gaze turned to two boys that looked a little older than me. They also had two small cats that were flying besides them. "They don't look like dragons... Maybe they're... Dragon slayers?" I mumbled to myself. All of a sudden they glanced over at me. 'Their gonna think I'm weird!' I thought, walking away quickly. I looked behind me, and they were now following me. I stopped walking, and turned to face them. "S-sorry for uh..." I started. "Why are you apologizing?" The blonde one asked, smiling. "B-because I uh... Was following the scent of a dragon, and um..." I stuttered. "You must be the dragon slayer we sensed nearby." The black haired one said. "I figured that you two were too." I said. "That's cool! Now there's three of us! I'm Sting, and this is Rouge." The blonde, Sting, said, pointing to himself and then at the black haired one, Rouge. "What's your name?" He asked. "Cloud." I said, now smiling. "Nice to meet you." Sting said, holding out his hand for me to shake, which I did. "You guys seemed like you were looking for something when I saw you." I said. "We were looking for a guild to join, did you want to come with us?" Sting replied. "What exactly is a guild?" I asked, causing Sting and Rouge to gain a look of surprise on their faces. "It's a group of wizards that do jobs together and get money in return." Rouge said. "Oh, so it's like a big team?" I asked, as they nodded. "It sounds fun, I guess I'll tag along." I said, as Sting grinned. "Then what are we waiting for? Let's go!" He said, as we all ran out of the city.

<2 Years Ago...>

"Man, this is great!" Sting said, falling backwards into the grass. We had taken an easy job from the guild, so we could get some fresh air. We took an easy one because it would be quicker, and after we completed it, we could do our own thing. So, we decided to head to the grasslands outside the city. "Tell me about it, the guild is such a stressful place..." I said, sitting down next to him. "That quest was probably the easiest I've ever done." Rouge said, leaning against a tree. "Hence why we took it." I said. "I forgot why we took it." Sting yawned, as he stretched. "We took it so we could complete it quickly, and have an hour to relax before heading back." I said, twirling a strand of my yellowish-blonde hair. "Oh yeah... Now I remember." He laughed. "You look like you're about to fall asleep." I said, glancing over at Sting. "Well, yeah. We've been busting our asses for the guild." He sighed. "That's true." I said. "Very true." Rouge crossed his arms. "I think so too!" Frosch said, sitting on Rouge's shoulder. We were all tired, and we really couldn't relax at the guild, because everyone was so serious. And Jiemma, our guild master, was scary as hell. We've even had lacrimas fused into us to enhance our Dragonslayer Magic. Everyone dubbed us the Triple Dragons, because our magic worked well when combined, surprisingly. "Let's just hope that sooner or later we'll actually have a day off..." I said.
