Questions After Scary Squirrels

Donnie walked out his room with a few bags under his eyes. Last night, he could hear his brothers rummaging around their rooms. Everyone had been clearly shaken about the deranged mutant squirrels. Alex had seemed to be the most shaken. She had complained to everyone to shut up so she wouldn't faint. She was clearly the most scared out of all of them.

He went to the kitchen and started to make a cup of coffee. Alex had been on his mind lately. When she kissed his cheek before he went out to save the world, or when he blushed at her crazy dance, or when she made that horrible pick up line yesterday. Sure it was stupid, but it still caused him to blush. Did she really think he was cute? Or was it just because she lost to Mikey's bet?

He smiled when the scent of fresh coffee filled his nose. Speaking of which, he still had to make her a T-Phone. He grabbed his cup and walked towards his lab, but he stopped. He heard humming coming from there.

He slightly opened the door and saw Alex in his rolling chair. He had to blush. She was in her pajamas. A cream shirt with a dark colored wolf in the back ground and white shorts covered in cupcakes. She had her arms folded on the table with her head resting on her arms. She was looking at Metalhead's head with a sad smile. Her tail laid limp and her ears were droopy.

"I remember tears streamin' down your face when I said 'I'm never gonna let you go.' And all those shadows almost killed your light~. I remember you said 'don't leave me here alone.' But all that's dead and gone and past tonight~"

Donnie could hear her voice perfectly even though her voice was low so as to not wake the whole house. He could hear the music with the song playing from somewhere in the room. Most likely from her Ipod. She had showed it to him when she had to hide it from Mikey.

"Don't you dare look out your window, darlin' everything's on fire. The war outside our door keeps raging on~. Hold on to this lul-la-by~ Even when the music's gone~"

She just lightly poked Metalhead's head. The music faded away and she yawned. He could see heavy bags under her eyes and she looked ready to fall asleep like that. That couldn't have been good for her health, then again, she was nocturnal...

"You have a nice voice."

She squeaked and fell out the chair. He winced, just like when they met. She used the table to help herself stand. A bright and visible red blush was on her face.

"Thanks... I'm sorry I was intruding your lab."

"No, it's fine. Why were you in here?"

If possible, it seemed her blush got brighter, "I-I couldn't sleep. You know I don't like staying still and I felt more relaxed just sitting here with Metalhead... or just his head."

She had been more scared then he knew, but he could understand. That must have been hard for her to handle. He could understand she wasn't the kind of person for jump scares. The way she would scream when Mikey would surprise her with a water balloon attack was enough to know it was just out of reflex for her.

"You know, I'm always here if you need someone to talk too. You are part of the family now."

She smiled, "Thanks Don, I think I'm gonna try to get some sleep again."

"Good, you look like you need it."

She giggled, "I probably look horrid. I'll see ya in a few hours."

"Alright."

He watched as she walked out the room. That was the first time she had called him Don. She usually called him Donnie, or Donatello when she was upset. Well, she called everyone by their full names when she was upset. Why did it make his heart beat a little faster when she said it? But... He liked April.

"I am so confused," he muttered.

A/N: So this used to be part of the Squirrelinoid episode. I originally separated the chapters, but they were both too short for my liking and with this part it was 4,000 words. As I've said my pet peeve is 3,000 words. Going above bothers me, even though I am writing a Sci-Fi that has a chapter of 6,000.

So a quick cap, Alex likes singing. She loves the arts and one day hopes to be a famous writer and maybe a singer. Her only o

A/N: Okay, so this was originally part of the Squirrelinoid episode, but adding this made it 4,000 words. As I've said, I have a pet peeve of 3,000 words. Going over makes me mad even though I have a Sci-Fi book that has a chapter of 6,000 words... *annoyed screeching in the background* As much as I love long chapters, I hate writing them.

Anyway, a quick cap. Alex loves the arts. Her hobbies include writting and singing. Long story short, she loves being creative. She hopes to become a famous singer or writer. Her only problem is her ears in the world of singing. As a writer, she'd never have to show herself if she didn't want to.

So yeah, and Donnie's questioning his feelings towards April. *coffetti goes off* Where did this come from? *Donexis banner comes down* What is this? *Apriltello banner gets ripped to shreds* What is going on here?

Tootles~
