Five hours now. One hour was wasted worrying over stupid matters and now was continued to be wasted trying to calm his nerves on the couch. Sitting down and just trying to think of more positive thoughts about the meeting that would soon happen.

Maybe he'd bump into them while buying food for the week. Or maybe it'd be a new neighbors sort of deal. A tiny smile spread across Eddie's face at the racing possibilities of a meeting, each one becoming cuter or overall more romantic than the last. He looked at the timer, tracing the five flashing at him with a tilt of his head. Was the other person on the end watching the timer with a happy look as well, or were they against the idea?

His thoughts turned to what they'd be like. If Anne wasn't his perfect match, who on Earth could be? What would they be like? Eddie blinked, deciding to not spend an hour thinking about that. Days could even be spent thinking about that, but he didn't have days anymore. Just five hours now. He looked out the window, at the stars. He knew they could see the same stars, if they'd look at the sky. His smile grew; they shared the stars together.

A shooting star flew overhead. Eddie watched it fly across the sky. He hoped his soulmate got to see that star fly across the sky like a bird. He watched it fade from brightness and watched the dinning light begin to fully disappear. He closed his eyes and made a wish.

He didn't notice that it was now two hours and thirty minutes till his fated meeting.
