Red's POV

I checked to make sure my pistol was on my belt and my machete was on my back before heading out.

Keona told me to go check on the gang.  She said there might be a compromise in the plan due to...a cloaked person appearing in front of her.

I whistled 'Another One Bites the Dust' whilst walking towards the Jordan building, as I called it.

I do somewhat regret doing that, but...I can't really say much else about that.

I passed by Louis's building and wondered how he was doing.  We'd set him back up out here to keep an eye on the gang, but I think he was frightened that Ghetto would try to kill him again.  Wonder if I should tell him Ghetto's dead...nah.

Once I caught sight of the building, I paused and turned into the building vertically-angled from theirs, or for those who aren't quite as educated, diagonal from theirs.

(Now I'm kinda wishing I'd put Redvacktor as a DRM...F character.  XD  That would've been interesting to see.  Oh well.)

I pulled out my "telescope" which is actually an empty P90 with an interchangeable 3x, 6x, 10x, and 20x scope.  (IDK if a P90 can actually have scopes.  I'm not that gun smart.  Just roll with it.  I didn't want to give him a sniper rifle.)

I inserted the 10x and peeked down at the gang.  There were loads more people.  I even saw 2 Nicks, a...ROSS!, and a fish dude that looked like that one from the prison a few months ago.

It seemed our Nick was talking to...AK, I think.  Suddenly, the one I think called Shark looked up and pointed at me.  Everyone looked up at the building I was on.

****!  I haven't been sneaky enough!

I quickly holstered the P90 and ran to the ledge closest to the water.  I groaned.

Great.  This building is JUST FAR ENOUGH AWAY from the water that I can't jump to it.  Maybe I can make it out if I run fast enough...no.  This building's too  close to theirs.  They're probably inside already.

I pulled the walkie-talkie from my bag and flipped it on, walking as I talked.

"Keona?  We've got a situation.  I've been spotted and I'm trapped up here in a building diagonal from the gang's."

I let go of the button, but I got nothing but static.

Crap, she must have it turned off!

I sighed and bagged the W.T. again.

Guess karma's finally caught up with me.

I continued walking down the stairs like I wasn't going to be caught in a minute.

I stopped by an office and stored my guns, machete, and bag in a secret spot.  I could come back for it later.

I continued walking down the stairs when I heard footsteps and attempted quiet talking.

"...gonna try to run, so we need to cut him off."

They were on the staircase I was about to see.

I gave my signature laugh.  "Geez, Nick, you need to speak quieter.  I can hear you from all the way up here!"

What?  I can't make an entrance, too?  Might as well make it fun while I still could!

I walked around the corner with my hands clasped behind my back.

"Hello, Nick."

Nick's POV

"Hello, Nick."  Red said smugly.

"Red...wow, you've grown stupid since we last met."

He winced.  "Ow, my feelings."

He looked past me to see the rest of my gang and the other Nick.

"So I'm seeing double right now...."

I rolled my eyes.  "Why would you come out here, Red?  Do you want to be captured?"

He scoffed.  "No, but I miscalculated the building's position."

I heard AK pull out a pair of cuffs.

"Throw your weapons away, Red."  I ordered.

He smirked.  "I'm already unarmed.  What you saw was an empty P90 that I use as a telescope.  I threw that away in order to make myself lighter to get away.  Obviously, that didn't work."

AK stood in front of Red.  Red sighed and turned around, allowing AK to cuff him.

I holstered my gun and walked down the stairs, AK and Red behind me and the rest behind them.

Once we got outside, I noticed some of the group of newcomers had gone back inside.  The Ross look-alike was still outside.

I sighed and turned to AK as we entered the building.  "Put him with Becca but on the other end of the room."

Red frowned but said nothing.

AK took Red into the building and the gang dispersed to do whatever.

Keona's POV

The zombie tied down to the table thrashed against its bonds.

I took Formula A and poured it into a syringe.

"Test number 31 is a go."  I said.

The scientists around me stopped working and grabbed either a gun or a sword.  The ones with swords scooted a little closer.

I walked over to the zombie and stuck the needle in it without hesitation.

The zombie thrashed for a few more seconds before stopping.  The lifeless white eyes suddenly had blue irises.

He blinked a few times in confusion before seeing me.  "What the...where am I?"

I noticed the scientists relax ever so slightly, but they still kept their protective stances up.

I put on my fake smile.  "Sir, what was the last thing you remember?"

He frowned.  "Umm...I was making dinner for my daughter and I when there was frantic pounding on the door.  I opened the door and someone pounced on me and bit me.  I hit them with the spatula that was still in my hand and they were knocked out.  I went to go get my daughter when I just...blacked out...."  He trailed off.

I sighed.  "What's your name?"

"David."

"Well, David, you were bit by a zombie.  No, we're not kidding."

David frowned.  "Umm...ok?  So what you're saying is...I was a zombie?"

I nodded.

"Umm...thanks...."

I smirked.  "No problem.  Let's get you outta these things."

The scientists tensed up as I walked to David and unbound him.

As soon as he was free, though, his eyes went lifeless again and he lunged at me, knocking me over.

I yelled out in half shock.  I'd been expecting this, though a part of me had hoped this wouldn't happen.

I struggled to keep David's mouth away from my body.

Suddenly, his body was pulled off me and thrown to the floor.  A slight pop sounded, and he was silent.

"Miss Keona, are you all right?"  One of the scientists asked.

He helped me up.  "Yeah, I'm fine, just a bit startled."

The scientist who had been recording what was happening shut his book and put it up with the other 2.

The scientists put their weapons away and looked at me.

I shook my head in disappointment.  "So close.  We're so close.  Something's missing.  Keep working."

"Yes ma'am!"  The scientists replied as they returned to their work.

I exited the room.

What are we missing...?

Father would know...wait....

Father would know!

We could revive him!  He'd have to be in a restrained state, unfortunately, but if we could revive him, we might be able to finish the cure!

"We could save him!"  I said happily.

*POP*

Pain.

Then darkness.

???'s POV

I holstered the gun as Keona fell to the floor, a hole in her head.

I pulled out my favorite knife and examined it.  It was quite rusty, but it did its job well.  Father's blood coated the knife.

"I thOught I cOulD truSt you, BEccA...truSt yoU with My creator, VIxen...but You killed heR.  I heLped wAkE you in That roOm wITh ReD...And whAt do yoU do?  LeavE wiThOut saying tHanks.  LeAve aNd murDer my cReatOr later OnI'm tHrough wiTh aLl of yOu.  TIme to diE, EVERYONE."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Sorry for lateness...again.
Also, this recentish episode of Crafting Dead...I FREAKING KNEW IT.  I KNEW RED AND ROSS WOULD TEAM UP.  IT WAS INEVITABLE.
Also, this plotline, though...it is NOT going where I was expecting it to go.  xD  That's my mind, everyone!
Smash that vote button at hyper speeds, Hyperfans!!!!!
