Emily's POV

It's been a couple of days since my dad was arrested, I have been staying in the apartment still but I'm moving in with Maya and her mom. They thought that it would be good to not be in the apartment still and also stay and not go to Foster Care. So Katy adopted me.

Today is the day I move in with Maya and Katy. I'm nervous, of course, I've known that apartment my whole life. Now I'm moving to a different part of the city. At least I'll have Maya and Riley still by my side.

I look at my now empty bedroom. It's weird to see it all empty but I guess this is all for the best. I grab my bag then walk to Riley's apartment. I knock.

"Hey." Riley says when she opens the door and sees me. She let's me in and I see Maya sitting on the couch.

"Hey!" She says, looking over at me.

"Hey!" I say back to my two best friends.

"Are we going now?" Riley asks. We are going to Maya's, well I guess now Maya's and my, house to sleep over.

"Yep." Maya says and we leave.

We get back to her house. Katy pulls me away from the two girls. "I want to show you your new room." She says. I nod slowly.

She walks me down the apartment hallway, and stops at a door, across the hall from Maya's room. She opens it and walks in with me. It's blue. It's beautiful. Maya, I think, drew some designs and stuff on the walls. It has swirls, butterfly's and flowers on the wall. The bed is a twin size, it has a blue blanket, sheets and two pillows. The closet is on the other side of the room, there's a window that looks out to the street.

"You didn't have to do so much." I say to Katy, with tears in my eyes.

"We wanted to." Katy says.

"Thank you." I say to her.

She smiles and says. "All of your clothes are in the closet and dresser. Maya put your boxes over in the corner." She says. I nod. "Okay well I'll be out there if you need anything." She says.

"Okay. Thank you, again, Katy." I say. She nods with a smile and leaves. I walk over to Maya's room. "Thank you Maya."

She smiles and nods. "You're one of my best friends, I do anything for you." She says to me then looks at Riles. "Both of you." She says with a smile.

"So what are we doing first?" I ask them. "Board games?"

They smile. And we start playing some board games: Trouble, Sorry, and more.

The next day, we are at school, in history class. Matthews is talking about... Oh who am I kidding, I have no idea. My mind keeps wondering off. Thinking about my father, what he did to me, if he's ever gonna get out, my court date thing to testify against him. I'm scared but I know I need to. Lucas and Maya also have to be there because they heard it happen. Topanga is my lawyer, her boss let her. I'm scared to see him again. What happens if he doesn't get charged guilty, or doesn't get a long term and comes out soon. What if he escapes and comes back.

"Emily. Emily." I snap out of my daze and see the class looking at me. I look and see Mr. Matthews also looking at me. "Are you okay?" He asks.

"I - uh can I - Can I be excused?" I ask him.

"Of course. Are you sure you're okay?" He asks once more. I nod then stand up and walk out of the room. I walk into the hallway and lean against my locker. I take a deep breath.

"Are you okay?" I voice asks me, scaring me. I let out a small yelp and jump back. I see Farkle standing there. "Sorry. I didn't mean to scare you. I just wanted to come check on you."

"I'm okay." I lie.

"Why are you lying?" He asks me. I look at him shocked.

"I'm not lying." I say.

"Yes you are and I want to know why. You're one of my best friends. I don't want you hurt." Farkle says. Wow friend zoned.

I look at him with tears in my eyes. "I'm scared about the court date. He's gonna be there and I'm scared to see him." I admit. I walk over and sit on the bench.

"It's okay to be scared." He says.

"That's easy for you to say, you're hardly scared." I say.

He sits next to me. "That's not true. I'm scared a lot but I know that if I face my fears, I'll be okay. You're gonna be okay Emily." He says.

I give him a small smile. "I'm not to sure about that." I say.

"Well I'll be here with you through it all, Emily. So will Lucas, Riley and Maya. They're your best friends and so am I. We aren't gonna leave you." Farkle says.

"Thank you Farkle." I say then give him a hug. "I'm gonna go back into class." I say to him. "You coming?" I ask.

"I'll be right in there." He says I nod and walk into class.

No One's POV

Farkle watches as Emily walks into class, with a confused look on his face. He watched the Daniels girl walk away, but he had a weird feeling in his stomach. One he was not used to. He sighed then walked into class.

"You okay Ms. Daniels?" Cory asks her.

"Yes, sir." Emily says. "I'm okay." She says.

"Good. Now class, your homework for tonight is to write a two page essay on what is important to you, something that happened in history that you think is important." Cory tells his class. The bell rang signalling the end of class.

Emily's POV

"Ms. Daniels." Mr. Matthews calls as I go to leave with Maya and Riley. They look at me confused as I give them the same look. "Can you two go wait in the hall so I can speak to Emily?" Mr. Matthews asks his daughter and Maya. They leave and he looks at me.

"What's wrong?" I ask him, nervous.

"We think that you should go talk to someone." He says.

I give him a confused look. "What do you mean by I should talk to someone?" I ask him.

"Katy, Topanga and I think that you should talk to someone about what happened. Maybe a therapist or just the guidance counselor." He says.

"Do you think it'll help?" I ask him. I want to object but what's the point, he's right and I know it.

"I do." He says.

"Okay." I agree.

He gives me a confused look. "I thought you would object."

"I was gonna but you're right. It'll help. I hope." I say. He nods.

"You can go to class now. We can talk later." He says. I nod and leave.

The rest of the day went fine. I got back to Maya's and talked to Katy about the whole guidance counselor thing. She told me that I start going on Mondays and Wednesdays after school. I was okay with it. I just hope it worked.

Later that day, Maya, Riley, Lucas and Farkle are hanging out at Shavorski's. I told them about what happened with Mr. Matthews and Katy, about the guidance counselor sessions.

"It's gonna be okay." Riley says.

"Yeah, you got us kid." Maya says.

I smile. "Thank you guys. It means a lot to know that you guys are there for me." I say.

"We always will be." Farkle says.

"Yeah. We will be." Lucas says. I smile at the two.

After a while, we started to leave. I smile and say bye as Lucas leaves, Maya and Riley are waiting outside. I give Farkle a small hug. "Thanks again." I say.

"Always." He says and smiles. I smile back and he leaves. I think my feelings for him are getting bigger. And I hope that no one, besides Lucas now, finds out.

I walk outside and Maya, Riley and I leave, to go to Riley's apartment for a sleepover. I'm happy I have them as my best friends, including Farkle and Lucas. I wouldn't change a thing.
