3rd Person P.O.V.

Claire looked around from where she was, overlooking the beautiful Earth she had once known. She tuned away and began walking through the forest, trying to put it all behind her. (Start the music!)

The song starts after the slight into in the music, like the song it is reprising. Claire = Italics and Max = Bold.)

Here I am

Standing alone on Earth again

What never happened shapes thoughts

And I think about what could have been

I thought I had a friend in you

But I was wrong

And now I think

About why I couldn't be strong

I thought I truly knew

The real side of you

You drew me

But now I see

I was better off thinking for myself

So stop telling me what is best!

I've had enough of your consuming thoughts!

Stop being controlling

Stop feverishly haunting my dreams!

Because I know what is best!

I'm not letting you say the rest!

Don't try to change my mind, because I now am thinking for myself!

Meanwhile, Max was standing on a pier and looking out to sea. You see, he walked into Claire's room shortly after she left because he smelled something burning... it was the same letters as the ones he read... and he felt bad about doing what he did...

I thought you'd be here

Forever and ever

But now I see

That you and I only went on one grand adventure

And now you're gone

And I'm here

And I feel alone

I realize both our flaws

And I now see why you opt to fly solo!

Before it all broke out, I saw you as flawless

I see I was wrong

Claire fell to the ground, clutching her head with one hand and catching her fall with the other. She trembled visibly, and the average person would be quite concerned about her well-being by now. After all, she's yelling at something she can't see and she's suffering a serious pain inside of her.

I hear your voice in my head

Stop trying to say what is best!

I know you're mad, but you need to understand

That what's best is not what's going on!

Stop breathing! It's driving me mad!

I can tell that you are sad

Let me comfort you, even just this once

I can't leave knowing you're like this!

You assume you know what's best!

I just have to let you know you're wrong!

Please don't ignore these pleading thoughts

My head is hurting, but I really have to be strong!

Claire looked up to the sky, her eyes darting around as she tried to ignore the pain and voices that were driving her crazy. She couldn't hide her pain any longer. It was simply too much for her to cope with.

Finally, she let out a scream.
