Xena was walking home after a rough day at school. I'm not talking about your average rough. I mean literal rough. Turns out she found out that her boyfriend (well ex-boyfriend now) Carl Stone cheated on her with another girl. She was so devastated she tried to confront him. Yeah, like that would work. He was so furious with her that he not only grabbed her but threaten her to tell the entire school about her secret. Her turtle secret.

Luckily, one of her brother's friends, Jason Hughes, saw the action and gave Carl a few punches of his own. Xena begged for him not to tell Brisk. She didn't wanna know that she was weak and blabbing about it to him was not gonna work. Plus, it was way too embarrassing to bare.

So Xena went home with some bruises on her face and covered it up with some makeup to look pretty.

Once Xena reached her house, she opened the door to find that it was dark. "Weird. I could've sworn it was still 8." She said as she turned the lights on to reveal 3 boys in her living room. One of them was her brother Brisk, the other was Brad and the third was Jason. But that's not what surprised her. What surprised her, was there pissed off faces. "....is....something wrong?" Xena dared to asked a Brisk cleared his throat. "Oh no nothing's wrong. Just the fact that I can clearly see a bruise on your face from Carl!"

Oh shit!

Xena covered up the bruise. "Brisk it's what it-!" Brisk was already on his feets as he stomped towards his sister and, even though he was angry, gently took her arm away from her face. The bruise was a clear cut on her cheek. "He did this didn't he?" Brisk didn't need an answer to know he was right. Xena only gulped and looked away. "Xena did he do this?"

"Brisk stop!"

"Did he do this!" Brisk asked again letting go of her arm as Xena nodded. Brisk facepalmed and grumbled under his breath. "Brad, gimme my sword." Brad quickly raced to Brisk's room to retrieve the item. "Jason, you're on look out."

"Yes sir!" Jason replied as he went outside to look at the driveway.

Brisk turned back to his sister and held out his hand. "Gimme your phone."

"Brisk-!"

"GIMME YOUR DAMN PHONE!" Brisk yelled in anger as Xena quickly took out her phone and handed it to her brother. Brisk unlocked the phone and went into Xena's messages app. "What're you doing?" Xena asked. When Brisk didn't answered she peered behind him to look at his task. Xena gasped in fright at what Brisk typed and punched his arm. "Ouch!" Brisk yelped almost dropping Xena's phone. "What the hell are you doing!" Xena asked again while Brisk folded his arms. "I'm going to scared him."

"By inviting him over to our house?!" A ping sound escaped her phone getting a reply from Carl saying, 'I'll be there soon~~~~" Xena glared at her brother. "Brisk, stop it! I don't need your help!"

"That bruise surely proved that." Brisked fired back as Xena looked away. "Brisk please don't. Just let it go." Xena said, now pleaded with her brother. Brisk saw her face with tears rolling down her eyes. He loved his sister dearly and would do anything for her. But letting something like this go? Why would she ask that?

Brad returned to the living room with a katana sword in his hand. "Sorry it took so long to find it." Brad said as Brisk tooked the sword and nodded. "Thanks Brad. Join Jason outside." Brisked ordered as Brad did just that.

Xena started to sob as Brisk put his hand on her shoulder. "Xena, when someone like Carl threatens you, you gotta tell somebody about it."

"I-I-I don't wanna t-t-t-trouble you w-w-with something-."

"Xena he tried to hurt you. Jason told me everything." Brisked explained as he pulled his sister into a hug. "When you were still a baby I use to come into your room at night just to watch you sleep. I wanted a baby brother but I got you instead. I didn't like it at first and thought that it was weird, but then I realized that I did it because I wanted to protect you." Xena looked at her brother. "One night, some burglars came into our house and tried to rob some of out silverware. I was in your room when they came in and you started to cry. One of them tried to shut you up permanently and that's when I started punching and kicking him even though I was too small for him.

Xena kept listening, awe by how calm he was. "He took you out of your crib and he could've dropped you on the floor if it wasn't for me. I caught you at the last second and screamed for mom and dad."

"What happened after that?" Xena asked as Brisk gave her a smirk. "What do you think happened?" Of course. Mom and Dad beat the shit out of them. "At that moment I knew I wanted to protect you with my life. So that's what I did." Xena smiled at Brisk. "Thanks big brother."

"Hey, we're family. We stick together no matter what." The front door opened and the siblings turned to see Brad and Jason. "He's here." They both said as Brisk nodded and turned to Xena. "Now Xena if you would excuse me, I have someone to kill." Brisk said as he picked up his sword and walked out the front door.

Xena smiled at her brother as Carl's painful cries were heard. It was music to her ears.
