A few weeks later, Haley had the day off and complained of a stomach ache. She was sure it was just her period, and both dropped Farrah off at daycare and picked her up later that day. She decided to check something, just in case.

Kian came home that night. Haley had made a favorite dinner, spaghetti. Farrah loved it, but she hade a mess eating it, getting sauce everywhere. She pulled Kian aside after she did the dishes.

"Kian, I think I'm pregnant again." She said, handing him the pregnancy test. Kian kissed her, and smiled.

"That's amazing! I mean, you know that's what we were hoping, right?" He asked her. Haley nodded.

"I used one of the tests that estimate how recently you conceived. I think it might have happened when we were in Cornwall." She had been hoping to turn the other upstairs bedroom into another baby room.

"Just a heads up, we are not naming the baby Ross or Demelza." Kian teased referencing Haley's favorite period drama couple.

"Okay. We can start rethinking all the ones we came up with when we were expecting Farrah." She said, smiling. "Farrah will probably be a great big sister," she said, watching their two year old play with her favorite stuffed animal. Kian nodded, putting a hand on her belly.

"One more Madani baby in the house. And of course he, or she, will be born in Holby City, so none of our friends will have to travel to visit, just a walk to the maternity wing." Kian said, kissing her belly. Haley smiled, leaning against his strong shoulders

"Yes, in a delivery room, not on your office floor like Farrah was." Haley jabbed, putting her arms around him. It was true, she would have preferred a baby in her hospital room. Kian smiled, remembering being so happy and so scared that day.  He had come so close to losing his wife, but holding his daughter for the first time was amazing. Kian had joked that it was because Farrah was so excited to meet them.

"She was a gift, a gift of love." Kian said softly, kissing his wife's hand. "And this one will be, too."

"I love you, Kian." She said. "You are my entire world."

"Forever and always." He answered, holding her close.
