He Feels the Baby Kick

As Taylor relaxes in her and Raphael's bedroom, she feels a sharp kick. She gasps, touching her stomach gently, wondering if she imagined the movement. Raph walks in, stretching and yawning as he loosens himself up.

There's another kick and she yelps out of pure surprise. His eyes widen and he rushes to her side.

"Is something wrong?" he asks, resting a hand over her stomach. "Is it coming?"

She rolls her eyes. "No, it's way too early for that, Raph. It's just that this baby is already a lot like you," she comments weakly, leaning back on the pillows.

"Why do you say that?"

"He or she is kicking like crazy, and I think that's your genetics at work."

Raph's eyes light up, keeping his hand on her stomach. There's another kick and he gasps at the movement, his face slackening with awe.

"Yeah...that's my kid right there," he breathes.

She smirks, yawning a little. He scoots beside her, pulling her into his arms as she rests against him.

He Talks to the Baby

"Destiny told me talking to the baby helps you bond with him or her," Taylor says as she and Raphael sit in the dojo.

"Talk to the baby? Like...how we're having a conversation right now?" Raph asks.

"Yeah! Go ahead and say something."

He swallows nervously and presses his ear against her protruding stomach.

"Hello little baby. Um...this is Raphael," he tries.

"Oh come on. Try a little harder than that." She giggles.

"Okay, whatever." He sighs and tries again. "Your mommy and I love you very much, and if anyone tries to hurt you, I'll stab them with my sais." There's a kick in response and he grins as he looks to his wife. "Is that good?" he asks.

"Yes. That's very good," she responds.

He presses a few gentle kisses to her stomach, still smiling.
