Leonardo

Leonardo sits with Dean as the little wolf-raven crawls around on the floor. Destiny walks into the room, sitting down and starting to read her book.

Dean looks to his mom, a determined look growing on his face. He places his hands on the floor, planting his feet behind him. Leo looks up, noticing his son's attempt.

"Des! Dean's trying to walk!" he calls.

She looks up, her eyes brightening when she sees it. Dean gives a shove with his hands, his tiny wings flapping quickly as he tries to get himself up. He stands up, wobbling for a moment.

"He's standing," both parents whisper.

He takes a shaky step forwards, then another and another. He toddles over to Leo, a wide grin brightening his face as he shows off the little fangs appearing in his gums. Three toddling steps later, he falls into Leo's arms.

"That's my boy! Good job!" The blue-masked turtle grins, lifting his son up and kissing his nose.

"Dada," he giggles and hugs his dad's face.

Leo laughs. Destiny walks over, her face glowing with pride. Dean reaches his hands towards her. She stops in her spot and kneels as Leo places him down. The little mutant boy toddles to his mom, grinning the entire time.

"Mummy!" he coos.

"Yes, mummy," she murmurs, lifting him into her arms. "Just look at those strong legs of yours. Nothing's ever gonna stop you from walking, huh?"

"No no." He shakes his head back and forth.

She kisses his little wolf ears. He hugs her face, his soft cheek against her scarred one.

Raphael

Raphael punches the punching bag in the living room, the sounds of his family all around him. The babies are all sitting together, bonding and getting even more acquainted with one another.

Every time the red-masked turtle looks over, Dean is always sitting down and then standing up again, like he's demonstrating how to walk to the other kids. Asher, Dakota, Mitch, and Copeland all watch him with large eyes.

Raph stops punching, turning around slowly.

"Come on, Copey. You're old enough. You can do it," he whispers.

Other than Copeland, the other three kids are sixteen months old, whilst she's eighteen months. Dean, the oldest, has been walking since seventeen months, and he's been trying to teach the others how to walk these last three months afterwards.

Raphael walks to where Leonardo is watching the kids, sitting down next to his brother.

"Yeah, Dean's your kid alright," the former comments.

The latter smirks. "He's already a leader."

"Walk!" Dean says encouragingly, demonstrating again.

"Walk?" Asher asks, confused.

"Walk," Dakota confirms to her twin.

"I want try! I want try!" Mitch squeals.

As soon as he tries, he falls over onto his butt. He frowns, shaking his head and crossing his arms.

"Me," Copeland says.

Dean sits down, putting his hands out in front of him. Copeland copies him. He pushes up from the floor, standing up straight as his wings flap. She takes a deep breath, and Raph's eyes light up.

"Come on...come on..." he whispers.

Taylor and Destiny walk in from the dojo, where they had been training and working off whatever baby weight may be lingering around. They stop when they see the small group of children, sharing a quick glance of hope.

Copeland shoves herself up, standing on her large green feet shakily. Dean claps his hands as his tail wags happily. She grins, her little tail wagging too.

"Walk to uncle," Dean suggests, pointing to Raph.

"Daddy!" She toddles towards him.

She almost falls before Dean catches her, patting her shell assuringly. She pushes him away, continuing towards Raph.

She reaches him and he scoops her up into his arms. She laughs and grabs onto the front of his plastron, her fingers brushing across the lightning chip. He kisses her forehead.

The other kids let out happy noises, clapping for their cousin. Taylor hurries to her husband and child, a proud grin lighting up her face.

Donatello

Dakota and Asher sit with Mitch on the floor, building with blocks. Their slightly older cousin watches them, giggling as he plays with some toys. Asher holds a blue block in his hands, pushing it into place.

"No! Poiple there!" Dakota scolds, pointing to a different spot.

"Blue there!" Asher insists, pushing the purple one away and putting his preferred block in the spot.

She huffs and grabs the blue, switching it out again. He picks her purple one up, throwing it far away. He laughs and sticks his tongue out at her.

Dakota narrows her eyes, looking determinedly to the block. She tries to remember what Dean and Copeland had showed her, pushing up with her hands. Sure, she could crawl over, but she wants to prove something.

She toddles over to the purple block, picking it up and smiling smugly at her technically younger brother.

Sarina and Donatello head out of the lab, their eyes widening when they see Dakota standing.

"We missed her walking? Sewer apples!" Donnie groans.

Sarina crosses her arms, looking to her children. Mitch just sits there, teething on a large rubber ring. His three-fingered hands hold the ring comfortably, the boy acting as though he sees nothing wrong with his strange development.

Asher furrows his eye-ridges, his heterochromic eyes seeming to flash. He seats himself on his knees, pushing up with his hands. He toddles towards his sister, and she tilts her head a little.

"I walk too!" he says, sticking his tongue out again.

Sarina and Donnie laugh, moving closer to their children. Asher reaches out to Donnie, who picks him up.

"Good job you two," he says, poking the beak of his nose.

Sarina smirks as Dakota copies her mom's look, only earning another laugh from her parents.

Michelangelo

Once again, the kids are all sitting on a large blanket in the living room while their family watches nearby. Mitch frowns as he looks at all his cousins walking around, his legs still seemingly useless. Michelangelo notices this.

"Do you think he'll try walking soon?" he whispers to Annalise.

"He should...I hope," she replies softly.

"Walk?" Dean asks, holding a hand out to Mitch.

"Nuh-uh." Mitch shakes his head.

"Please?" Copeland asks.

"Yeah!" Dakota and Asher say in unison. "Try walk!"

Every single parent in the room watches even closer, even Master Splinter taking his eyes off his bowl of ramen to observe.

"Come on, MJ...you got this," Mikey whispers.

"MJ?" Annalise asks.

"Mitch Jerome. Duh."

"Oh."

"Try," Dean says firmly, keeping his hand extended.

Mitch reaches up and takes it. Dean gives him a tug upwards. Mitch stands shakily, his hand still secured around Dean's.

"YAY!" all the kids cheer.

Dean releases his hand and steps back. Mitch takes a slow step forwards. Annalise and Mikey's breaths hitch with excitement.

He takes two more steps, grinning widely. He toddles over to Annalise, grabbing onto her knee and grinning.

"Walk!" he squeals.

"That's my little dude!" Mikey praises, ruffling the boy's messy head of curly blond hair.

Every other parent applauds, Master Splinter nodding in congratulations as he returns to his ramen.
