Thoughts are in italics.

Sameer decided to leave for home without informing anyone, he was badly trembled seeing naina. He could never see those beautiful dove shaped orbs looking at him with hate or any betrayal.

No, he could never.

Packing his things, he hurriedly went out of the class and marched towards his bike. He didn't even inform munna Pandit. He hurriedly started the bike and was about to go, when he heard someone shouting.

Turning around, he spotted 2-3 girls standing around a fallen figure. May be the girl had fainted. But why are they staring at her like this, can't they even help the fallen girl.

He got agitated and was started to leave, when his one part of his heart forced him to stop barely after the shortest distance. Not having heart to leave, he turned his bike, parked it again and reached the fallen figure with fastened steps.

Running through the girls, he knelt beside the poor soul and turned her face.

He felt shattered inside. It felt like someone was snatching away his precious doll from him. Someone whom he loved...ok whom he liked very very much. Though he wanted to be away from her, yet Inside deep in his heart he wanted and wished her to be his forever.

Involuntarily his cheeks spotted wetness and drops of tingle tears falling on her cheeks down.

Keeping her head on his lap, he patted her cheek. When there was no response, he was hell scared and didn't know what to do.

"Naina..." His mere whisper could never be heard by her.

"Naina uto...naina pls..agar ye mazak haina to ye bohot gandi mazak hai...pls uto..." He continuously patted her cheeks with wetness spotted around his own.

Not knowing what to do, he carried her to the nurse room.

Placing her on the bed, he called out the dispenserer.

"Kya hua..." The doctor asked Sameer.

"Wo.. doctor pata nahi...achanak behosh ho gyi...aap check kijiye na please..." His restlessness was clearly visible in his voice.

"Tum chinta mat Karo... I'll check..." The doctor placed the stethoscope on various places of her chest and scanned her eyes and mouth with torches.

All the while Sameer could do, was just to look at her like a statue.

"Kya hua Naina ko...vo achanak aise.." he started posing questions the moment the doctor finished her check up.

"Lagta hai naina ne do din se kana nahi kaya..." The doctor responded.

"Kana nahi kaya..." He murmured again.

"Haan...aur she's very upset or even stressed..." She said seeing sameer's condition.

Suddenly Sameer remembered the morning events, where he bursted out at her. Already he was feeling guilty, but now he felt ashamed for hurting such a poor soul.

"Vo teek to haina..." His voice was very low out of guilty.

"Ya...she's fine. Abhi classes start hone mai time hai..tum tab tak naina ko kuch kilake...ye medicines de do..." She handed over some medicines to him.

"Par mai..." He hesitated. Handling her with guiltness infront of a doctor made him uncomfortable. It may make naina uncomfortable too.

"Aur koan hai yaha pe...tum use deko..muje kuch kaam hai..." She patted his shoulders.

"Vo aanke lab kolegi..."

"Abhi kuch der mai use hosh aa jayega.. don't worry." Giving a warm smile she left the room.

She came to know what Sameer felt for naina, seeing the restlessness on his face.
It depicted pure concern and affection.
Smiling she left the both alone.

He spotted mundit outside the room who were looking at him with disaprooving look. He knew what were the both going to ask, but he stopped them.

"Jo bhi poochna hai baad mai poochna. Ab jake naina ke liye naahte leke aana canteen se..." His voice was dull. His face was a dried one with tears.

"Sameer tu.."

"Please..." He requested.

Mundit sensed his condition and left without a word.

Hesitating he went near naina and sat beside the bed in the chair.

He held her hand within his palms,
"Kya ho gya hai tume...tumne do din se khana kyu nahi kaya...aur maine bhi aaj tumse jagda ki..mai bhi kitna stupid hoon...par naina tum kis baat ko leke itna stressed ho ki tumhari aisi haal ho gyi..."

He kept on asking her questions, but she gave no answers. He had numerous questions revolving in his mind. He didn't know whether to ask her directly or to find out the answers himself.

Naina ne do din se kana nahi kaya...par kyun..do din to teek hi thi, hasthi thi baath Karthi thi...phir, agar vo mujse gussa hokar kana na kaye to...par aisa kaise ho sakta hai..maine to aaj hi chillaya tha bechari par. Pakka ghar par kuch hua hoga...aur mai idiot bina iski chehre ki udasi deke, uspe chilla diya..

Par phir bhi tumne mujse kuch nahi kaha naina. Yaar, tum kis mitti ki bani ho...
Already tum upset thi..tum chahti to apna frustration mujpe chillake nikal sakti thi, par tumne aisa nahi kiya.. meri gussa ko sehkar chup chap wapas chali aayi... Par mai tume kabhi deserve nahi karta... isiliye mai tumse door jana chahta tha.
Par ab mai kahi nahi jaoonga, aisi haalat main to bilkul nahi.. zaroor kuch problem hai...par tum bata nahi rahi..

Mai tume kabhi upset ya depressed rehne nahi doonga....kabhi nahi...

His determined voice echoed in his mind and he patted her head.

As if she heard her thoughts, she slightly rolled her eyeballs inside her eyeshields.

Sensing the movement of her eyeball he was near her the next instant.

"Naina..." His soft voice made her open her eyes.

Gently opening her eyes, she found her most wanted person very close to her holding her hand. And the other one on her head patting it as if promising something.

"Are you fine..." He asked her with a warm smile.

She only nodded. There prevailed an awkward silence, he wanted to break it saying sorry. But his guilt stopped him saying that a mere sorry won't be enough.

She expected him to say something, but he said nothing. She looked the other side avoiding his eyes which were making her weak. She pulled out of her hand from his palm.

He understood her state, and left her hand free. Thankfully before more awkwardness may prevail... mundit arrived with food and handed over it to Sameer.

They went back before Sameer could say anything. He knew they were angry on him for his foolishness. He needed to talk to them, but right now it seemed more important to be near naina. And also, he needed to open up his heart to mundit alone. This would not be the right time.

Making up his mind, he went near naina.
She was trying to sit, but her weakness made her lie again.

Seeing her efforts, he went to help her. But before, even his little finger could touch her, she stopped him showing her palm. He stepped back not wanting to make her more upset.

She tried again, but her weak body didn't support her and she fell back on the bed.

When she again tried and failed, he could take it no more. He wounded his arms around her and made her sit straight, placing a pillow behind her for her comfortability.

She was upset with him. She turned her face not seeing him, but however she could not deny the fact that, his touch was very soothing and warming. It did not make her feel uncomfortable.

Ab ye kyu karna hai ise..subah to bada chillaya tha. Itni fikar kyu karta hai meri.
Jo man mai aaya bol diya bina ye jane ki mera bhi dil hota hai, vo bhi toot sakta hai. Bada aaya mera fikar karne wala.

The silence prevailed but none spoke.
It was like a mute film. She was angry and he was manofying her, but a bit differently through the silence.

"Naina.." he called out softly.

No response.

"Naina..."

No response.

"Naina please.." his pleasing voice made her look at him.

But she didn't look into his eyes like always she did.

"Naina I'm sorry..." His voice was laiden with guilt.

His guilt laiden voice made her look into his eyes. His eyes held a genuine sorry for his mistake.

He could speak no more.

She kept on looking at him to speak further.

They kept on looking at each other.

Neither of them spoke nor neither of them left their gaze away from each other.
