who wants to hear me scream about Bandstand? probably none of you but I'm going to do it anyway!

SO I GOT TO SEE BANDSTAND IN THEATERS TONIGHT after an agonizingly long three hour flight this morning and a three hour car ride this afternoon (I am tired)

AND WOW IT WAS SO AMAZING, I HAVEN'T SEEN ANY VERSION OF IT OTHER THAN THE PREVIEWS BOOTLEG SINCE LAST SUMMER AND I FORGOT HOW GORGEOUS THE FINISHED BROADWAY PRODUCTION IS AND I LOVE IT SO MUCH OH MY GOODNESS

first of all I do just have to say it's kind of surreal because I literally just saw Laura and Corey live two days ago and I just got to see them on the big screen AND THEY WERE PERFECT. ABSOLUTELY FLAWLESS

this show you guys. I love everything about it, from the beginning to the end, it's just gorgeous and it's a shame that it didn't last because it's genuinely one of the most gorgeous shows I have ever scene

AND ALSO THIS HAPPENS A LOT IN THE BANDSTAND FANDOM THAT CONSISTS OF FIVE PEOPLE AND THAT IS: PLEASE DON'T FORGET ABOUT THE SUPPORTING CAST

GEOFF PACKARD'S PORTRAYAL OF WAYNE IS ABSOLUTELY HEARTBREAKING

JOE CARROLL AS JOHNNY IS SO INTENSELY INNOCENT

BRANDON ELLIS AS DAVY IS SO COMPLEX AND PERFECT

NATE HOPKINS' JIMMY IS SIMPLE YET COMPLICATED AND LAYERED

JOEY PERO AS NICK IS SO SEVERE YET STILL SOMEHOW LIGHTHEARTED IN A WAY

BETH LEAVEL AS JUNE IS BEAUTIFULLY STRAIGHTFORWARD YET CARING

I JUST LOVE THEM ALL SO MUCH AND I COULD GO ON AND ON FOR HOURS ABOUT EVERY SINGLE PERFORMER ON THAT STAGE

you can just feel that every single actor left their heart and soul out on that stage and they care so intensely about this show I just love everything about it
