well folks, today is September 17th

which means that it has officially been one year since Bandstand did not close on Broadway because it is definitely still running, right??

but in all honesty, I miss this show so much.

I miss seeing the theater with the big marquis on the side

I miss seeing the pictures and videos of that amazing cast together

I miss when we went in to pick up our tickets at the box office while the matinee was going on and hearing Welcome Home through the doors for the first time and just crying in the lobby

I miss seeing that cast put all of their hearts into that show

I miss staring up at Laura and Corey and everyone else and knowing that this project was special to them and they all loved what they were doing

and I am so incredibly sad that more people didn't get to experience seeing that show, and I'm sad that I won't get another chance to experience it because even high quality professional recordings don't do it the justice it deserved, and I will never forget how amazing it was and still is, even though it's gone

and on that cheery note, I will leave you guys to enjoy the rest of your day!
