Chapter 15: Coming Out

Angelica was still with Jefferson. Like, I get that he's the father of her child, but she could still make time for her friends and family, right?

She hasn't even told dad and mom about the baby either. And she can't have the baby in the dorms when it's born.

PinkSis is calling

My phone vibrated in my pocket. I took it out and answered it.

"Hello?"

"Hey Pegs," Angelica's voice said through the phone. "Listen, you, me, Eliza, and Thomas are going to mom and dads today."

"Oh, um okay then."

"K, bye!"

The phone hung up and I was left in silence.

Should I come out to my parents? I think I should. Yep, I will.

We arrived at our parents house, Jefferson driving Angelica's car. We pulled up in the driveway.

He seemed unfazed by the huge house, probably because he was rich and had a nice house.

I was the first to get out of the car and run up the steps. I fling open the door. Mother is in the kitchen and Father is sitting at the dining room table.

"Margarita?" Mother says then runs to me and gives me a hug. I turn and give Father a hug too.

Angelica, Eliza, and Jefferson come through the door. After about five minutes of talking, we all sit down at the dining room the table.

Jefferson and Angelica stand at the the head of the table.

"Mom, Dad," Angelica starts. "I love both of you so much, and I hope you're excepting. But, Thomas and I are having a baby."

Mother gasped and we all looked at her as she walked up to Angelica and Jefferson. I hoped so hard she wouldn't get mad.

Instead, a tear rolled down her cheek. "Why didn't you tell us earlier, Angelica?"

"I-I didn't want to you to be mad at me."

Father stood up. "Honey we would never be mad at you."

Mother smiled. "How far along are you?"

Angelica rubbed her stomach. "About 14 weeks."

I stood up. "I uh, I also I have something to say." They all turned to look at me. I took a deep breath. "I-I'm lesbian."

I closed my eyes tight. "That's okay Margarita. We'll still love you either way," Father smiled.

Eliza also stood up. "And I'm bisexual."

"We accept all of you. And we love you no matter what," Mother said.

We stayed for about two hours. Father shook hands with Jefferson and we left back for New York City.
