My daily activities

Every morning from Monday to Saturday, I get up at 6 o'clock. After breakfast, I go to school by bicycle. It takes me about 20 minutes from my house to my school. Usually, I study at school until 11:30 a.m. I return home at noon to have lunch with my family. In the afternoon I attend English and computer courses. I always get home just in time for dinner at 7:30 p.m. After dinner, while my parents are watching television in the living-room, I read books or prepare for school in my own room.

I am free at weekends. On Sunday mornings, I get up later than usual. Then I often go shopping downtown with my friends. Sometimes we go for a picnic in the countryside. On rainy Sundays, I stay at home reading books and listening to music.

I am quite happy with my daily activities.

My hobbies

Almost everybody has some kind of hobby. My hobbies are listening to music and watching television.

I am very fond of music. When I am free, I often listen to my favorite songs from an old cassette recorder. At weekends, I usually go to music shops in the downtown areas to buy good CDs. Of the famous pop singers, I prefer Frank Sinatra, Elvis Presley, Madona and Paul MC Cartney.

I also spend an hour after dinner watching news and documentary programmes. I particularly enjoy the program "The World Here and There" because it broadens my knowledge of nature and human civilizations.

I think that my hobbies are very useful. They widen my knowledge, relax my mind, and make me feel better about myself.

I must say that my most favourite singer is Ung Hoang Phuc. A boy singer.

Ung Hoang Phuc’s original name is Nguyen Quoc Thanh. He is a handsome

boy and he possess a typical voice – a warm voice. Ung Hoang Phuc is a

successful singer. He started working as a singer when he was 19 year old.

At the start, he was a member of boy band 1088. When 1088 was broken up,

Ung Hoang Phuc began his own career, he’ve had 4 personal CD so far (

Vol 1, Vol 2, Vol 3, Vol 4) and he is preparing for publishing Vol 5, all of

them is sold very well. Now Ung Hoang Phuc is one of manages of

Entertainment World company. Ung Hoang Phuc is a wonderful singer, not

only me but also most of my friends like him, too. ( A my friend – Thanh, She

like Ung Hoang Phuc so much that she always listen to Ung Hoang Phuc’s

song when she turn on her computer). Ung Hoang Phuc is too wonderful.

Talk about your best friend.

When I was in High school, a new boy joined my class during the second semester. As I was sitting next to him, I was asked to help him to get used to the new environment. We hit it off instantly. Two years have passed. Now, we have become the best friends. That boy’s name is Hoang Anh.

Hoang Anh is much taller and skinner than I am. He is also very agile. That is why he has qualified for our school basketball team. He is also one of our school’s best athletes. He specializes in the hurdles and high jump events.

Though Hoang Anh is very involved in sports and games, he is very disciplined. He always finishes his homework on time. In fact, he has always been one of the top students in class.

One major belief that both of us agree on is that friends should share their thoughts and knowledge. This enables us to know each other very well. Thus, in spite of the fact that he is an extrovert and I am not, we are still such close friends. I really treasure this friendship and hope that it will last forever.

                                                                Country life and city life

Country life is very different from city life. As we can see, there are more trees in the country than in the city, so the air in the country is much fresher. On the other hand, there are not many houses in the country. Each house, therefore, has a lot of space around it. That makes it peaceful and quiet. In contrary, the population in the city is very crowded. The traffic jam is always busy, especially in rush hours, so the city is extremely noisy. Although the condition of living and studying in the city is much better than in the country, the people there are not as helpful and friendly as in the country. There are also many bad habits in the city. For these reasons, I prefer country life than city life.

Mobile phones

Nowadays, mobile phones are common in our daily lives. They have many advantages. Firstly, they help us keep in touch with people easily .We can talk to our friends and members in our family regardless of distance and time.Your work will be easier when you use a mobile phone. You can contact with anybody whenever you need. Moreover, mobile phones todaythus, you can listen to music, read books and surf the Internet/the webs. In addition, you can play lots of games with your mobile phones.

However,mobile phones also have some disadvantages. One of the drawbacks is that it takes you   a long time to use applications in your cell phone once u need to know how to utilize them effectively. If you don't know how to use it well, it will cause unwanted disadvantages.I like using mobile phones very much because they are very important in my life and I cannot live without them.They help us get closer.
