Tommy's POV
The drive home wasn't as bad as you might think, Monica turned the radio on to hear the weather report.

<report>
"Good afternoon everyone, we are seeing some severe thunderstorms right now. Fortunately no tornadoes have been spotted yet, but we have issued a tornado watch for the following counties..."

The reporter named our county and we all looked at each other, but not with too much concern. But my mom was concerned, she was the one to take charge. (Probably because of what happened to dad years ago and she didn't want to lose any one else.)

"Okay every one when we get home I need every one to start preparing. Tommy unlock the shelter and get the first aid kit, Monica and Leah grab blankets and the battery radio. Judy and I will grab snacks in case we need to stay in the shelter for a while." Mom said.

(Like I said she's very serious about tornado situations.)

"Okay Mom" we all said.

About 15 minutes later we were home and we started the preparations for a tornado situation. The hail was coming down hard now, it was very light on the way home.

I jumped out of the car and ran inside there was no time to waste. If a tornado was on the way I wanted us to be ready.
