Mahi Bhai called everyone to his room except Rohit and Virat that night. He knew they wouldn't wonder out of their room after the kind of scolding he gave them today. "They are really my kids" he fondly thought of them.

Once everyone arrived, he said "Listen I am trying to teach those two a lesson. And I want you guys to help me?"

"How can we help you?" Bhuvi said most eagerly.

"Well some of you can start by not placing bets about length of their fight." MS said looking pointedly at Jaddu and Sikhar who simply stared at their nails.

"What have you told them Mahi Bhai?" Kuldeep asked.

"Well..." He narrated in short what happened.

"How can we help?" Hardik asked after hearing everything.

"Your job is just to see that they don't talk to each other behind my back because they definitely will try to cheat." MS said. "Kuli you try to tail Virat as much as you can without alerting him, Jassi you do the same to Rohit. Honestly they won't notice because you guys hang on to them anyway."

"What about me?" Hardik asked.

"Harry all of you have the same job." Mahi said "I am telling Kuli and Jassi specially cuz Virat and Rohit won't doubt them ever."

"But bhai they would be measurable without talking to each other." Jassi said innocently concerned about his Virat bhaiya and Rohit bhaiya.

"Yes they never stop talking, like they say they will do it all the time when they fight, but they never actually stop talking. They shout, or mostly pass snarky comments indirectly on each other. But they do talk." Kuldeep said. "Not talking to each other will kill them."

"I know" Mahi said "That is the point of all this. They need to understand how the silence feels like between them. Because they way they argue honestly make me scared sometimes that.... Just trust me on this kiddos, it's for their own good don't let them talk."

They nodded trusting their Bhai's judgment as always.

"Hardik, Jaddu and Sikhi, you guys give them reasons to talk. Do stupid stuff that they would want to tell each other immediately but they can't." Mahi said "This is something that comes naturally to you" He added in an amused voice.

And all three looked so proud of the fact that they did stupid stuff. That MS almost laughed.

"And Bhuvi and Jinks" said MS "You will probably have to here a lot of complaints from them about me. Don't react to it much, don't try to defend me too much. I know you both know how to handle it. Just tell them that you don't know what I am thinking. In fact this applies for anyone they will try to complain about me."

MS didn't want Jinks or Bhuvi to explain anything to them cause he wanted them to realize that the they will miss each other. He wanted them to be angry on him for each other. If the reason behind his orders were explained, they might understand it right now, but they will forget the lesson by the next fight. No, they will have to realise how bad silence can be.

The next day during practice session, Virat was in the nets the first. It was a set rhythm, generally Virat and MS warmed up together, doing the stretching exercises and the sprints. Then Virat would proceed to the nets, while MS would switch on the bowling machine to practice his keeping, randomizing the direction so that balls hit in any direction. Then he would practice gloveless with Tennis ball.

Rohit always arrived after Virat and MS were done with warm up. He would do his warm up while Virat knocked, and go into the nets right after Virat. By the time Rohit was done, MS would be fine with his keeping training and he would then go into the nets. This routine had mainly developed due to Rohit's refusal to wake up early. And for once even MS had failed to set this habit straight. Hence this routine had developed and it worked really well. All three had a habit of talking to each other, especially when waiting outside the net. It was quite normal to hear Rohit standing behind the net passing some comment, or just pointing out something he noticed in Virat's batting. Even if they were fighting they would jibe at each other.

But today Rohit came and stood behind the net. Virat shouted something at Hardik who was goofing around and chasing Kuli. And Virat might have said something a little harshly. Rohit was almost ready to say something on the lines of him bieng "bossy jerk" but stopped himself remembering Mahi Bhai's orders. And it felt so unnatural suddenly to stop himself from talking to him like that.

"Why should I be talking to him? He would about on me if i did anyway. And Mahi Bhai must have given the orders for this reason." Rohit tried to reason with himself.

Kohli on the other hand was also getting irked by the unnatural silence behind him. "Why hadn't Ro taken a jibe on me?" He thought. But then he remembered what happened last night. "Good" he thought "Now atleast I don't have to hear his sarcastic comments." He told himself. But even then he was subconsciously aware that he missed it.

MS saw them from where he was training and smiled to himself. "The denial phase is still on." He thought. He knew that soon these two will be dying to speak to each other, and may be even blame him for doing this to them but he will bear that blame if it meant these two realising that what they shared was so precious.
