"So, he said 'yes'?" Haechan raises a brow, leaning against the lockers while Jaemin was going through his locker.

"Yep," the blond haired boy answers briefly, seemingly not interested talking about it.

It's Lee Jeno, he's not interested anything about the brunet boy whether he's include in the situation or not.

"That's great! Congrats, man."

Groaning, Jaemin shakes his head. "Don't make it sound like I asked him out, it's fucking weird." He grumbles.

Haechan laughs in response, "I'm just saying, you don't have to stress out about these projects anymore since he already said he'll do it."

"Well, he said it. But I don't know if he actually meant it," Jaemin gave a look, widening his eyes and raising his eyebrows for a second.

"And you said not to make it sound like you asked him out," his friend snickers.

Jaemin rolls his eyes, "whatever, watch him do nothing at all as if I didn't just told him."

Haechan chuckles, "you being stressed is kinda funny, and it's all because of some guy."

"Please, you don't understand how irritating it is to be around him." Jaemin retorts.

"Yeah? I share a class with him too, dumbass." The tanned male snorts when his friend gave him a look.

"He's annoying, right?" Jaemin has a hint of hope in his tone, expecting for Haechan's possible answer similar to his own experience.

"In some ways so far," his friend shrugs. "He hasn't really bothered me this year, last year maybe a few times but right now, nothing."

The blond haired boy blinks in confusion, "sometimes I wonder if you like him or something." He blurts out.

Haechan starts laughing and pats him on the shoulder, "of course not, Renjun warned us about him and we've known that since then."

Jaemin remains still while Haechan was still laughing at him as if his assumption was hilarious.

"It's just that, you joke around hooking up with him if you could and tend to go against Renjun's words." He mumbles.

The tanned male snorts again and shakes his head, "exactly, I say those as a joke and whenever I go against Renjun's words, is just for the sake of your grades too."

"Look, man, even when I tease you about these things, I still got your back when you're conflicted about it." He said.

"Imagine listening to whatever Renjun said, you could be doing this project alone and possibly get low points." Haechan adds, hands gesturing around.

Jaemin only scoffs at that part, "imagine listening to Renjun, then I wouldn't have to go meet up with Lee Jeno and get involved with his shenanigans."

His friend sighs, "you got to think more about this-"

"I am." Jaemin said with a tone, now being stubborn in Haechan's opinion.

"Well, don't be dramatic." Haechan remarks, "no offense, but you two are being childish for avoiding this person as much as you can."

"Are you sure you don't like him?" Jaemin raises a brow, skeptical of his friend again.

The tanned male clicks his tongue, "I'm simply saying that you can't avoid this person forever."

"He's toxic."

"Yeah, I get that but-" Haechan exhales, "nevermind, do what you got to do, man. But don't expect everything to go as planned."

"Since when were you going against-"

"It's not that I'm against you guys, but just the ways and words is a little... I don't know? Immature?" Haechan shrugs.

He places a hand on Jaemin's shoulder, "this is one of those clichΓ© highschools, anything can happen." He states.

The blond haired boy only nods and shrugs the hand off in instinct, reaching back in his locker to grab his water bottle.

Haechan purses his lips and changes the subject, "are you free?" He asks as Jaemin eyes him for a minute, "I don't have after school activities today." He adds.

"And since Renjun's busy, I don't have anyone to bother." Jaemin rolls his eyes hearing that before letting out a small chuckle.

"I think I am-" he was about to say before a voice interrupts him.

"Hey," they both pause and turn their heads to the newcomer, said boy then glanced at Haechan and smiles. "Oh, hi, too!"

"What now?" Jaemin's mood immediately goes back down, eyes glaring as a habit at this point.

The brunet boy raises his hands up, "ooh~ what's gotten you so moody, Mr?" He laughs in amusement, not offended at all by the treatment.

"You, Lee Jeno." Jaemin replies, curtly. Cold and stern.

Not going to lie, Jeno's a little intimidated now, but he doesn't show it and instead displays an annoying grin.

"Aww, that's so sweet." He coos, "bet only I can make you this moody, am I right?" He purrs, a small wink added.

The older boy scrunched his nose, he groans and shuts his locker, crossing his arms and asks, "back to the point, what do you want?" Almost like demanding for an answer at this very second.

Jeno hums, swaying his shoulders side to side a little bit, "just wanted to tell you I'll be waiting by the gate after school."

"For what?" Jaemin blinks. Haechan beside him face palms, thinking it was already obvious enough.

"For our project, dummy." The brunet boy laughs, "didn't you want to get started?" He tilts his head to the side.

The older boy swallows dryly, his neck slowly turning red. "Right..." He drawls off, embarrassed by himself.

He clears his throat and soon nods, "alright, but I expect you to actually cooperate." He said, almost like a warning.

"I already promised," Jeno smiles confidently. The bell then rings, signaling for the students to get to their next class.

He looks around before taking a step closer to Jaemin, the latter backing up in instinct and holds back a grunt from the unexpected impact.

Jeno giggles at him, "silly," shaking his head, witnessing Jaemin's actions. He places a hand over on Jaemin's collarbone and gently pats him.

"Don't worry, I won't stand you up." He whispers, smiling innocently at the older boy before he pulls away and waves a hand at them.

Glancing at Haechan, he giggles, "sorry, might have to borrow your friend for today." Beaming as he turns around and takes his leave.

Once he was far away enough, Haechan looks at Jaemin and furrowed his eyebrows.

"You were saying?" He recalls to what Jaemin said earlier about Jeno not doing anything.

The blond haired boy huffs, "I told you, he's just saying it, but once we get to his house, I'm the only one working."

The tanned male just hums, choosing not to argue anymore before he then has a silly smirk, "what were you thinking anyway when he said he'll meet you by the gate?"

Sensing what his friend was trying to do, Jaemin flicks him on the forehead and clicks his tongue. "I'm going to class." Soon leaving his friend whining.
