Olive Riley - Weathers was doomed to die. That was the fate gifted to her. There was no escaping fate, especially when tormentors of her parents' past came to haunt her. She is no survivor, only a victim to the string tugging her along. The young, only daughter of the reporter and officer of the massacre of Woodsboro, cursed to the same fate as the people they couldn't save.

It must have been a cruel joke, Olive thinks sometimes at night. On the nights she has to pack a bag, and drive to her mother's. On the nights where she knows she was a failed attempt at saving an ill-fated marriage. On the nights where she knows she couldn't protect her family.

These were thoughts no thirteen year old girl should have, of course. The destiny of a family doomed from the start wasn't to be on the back of a thirteen year old girl. Then again, they hadn't been like this. Back when she was younger, there was no killer, there was no hatred seeping from the walls. There was only hope, and the promise of growing old together.

But Olive Riley-Weathers was doomed to die, just as the prophecy intended.
