(Your 7 year old POV/ 26th April 2009)

Normally families would look after you, care for you, give you something nice for good behaviour and protect you no matter what. Not me. The only people who have even cared about me is my Kind Father and loving Mother, TaiYang and Summer.

It was Summer who always treated my wounds, it was TaiYang who fed me and they have always helped me to train... always.

Me, Ruby and Yang are... we're close but when they aren't looking, Ruby and Yang would often bully me and say 'you don't belong here' or 'your such a weakling'.

Three months ago, Yang put boiling soup on my head.

Last two months Ruby had the Idea of threatening me to be in a freezer and letting me freeze with a lock on, if it wasn't for Dad then my blood would be blue instead of red.

Qrow and Raven is the worst out of them all.

Qrow would usually smash a bottle on me if I gave him the wrong drink or if I gave him his favourite drink without him requesting it.

Raven would use me as a practice dummy and try to slice me to shreds. I only made it with cuts and wounds and telling me I'm useless.

(TimeSkip to 1 year later)

Today was like any other, me getting hurt in the attic which is my 'so called' room but this time, everyone except Tai and Summer was in the room.

Raven was hitting me at my right arm and left leg with a leg of a chair.

I then knew I couldn't take it anymore.

Qrow was about to punch me but I caught it, Raven then tried to punch me also but I caught it, Ruby and Yang try to attack but I threw Qrow and Raven at them.

I then swiped the attic key and ran straight to the door.

Qrow: "GET BACK HERE YOU LITTLE SH-"

I only heard the attic door shut, I then ran downstairs to get a plastic food bag, some food and my stuff that Qrow hid on the top shelf.

I tried to reach it but the cupboard was too high, then I saw an arm getting it.

At first I thought it was Qrow but when I looked, it was Tai and Summer with tears streaming down their faces.

Summer hugs me and said "we are so sorry. We are so sorry."

Me: "what do you mean? You wasn't involved with what happened."

Tai: "yeah, about that we both knew about them abusing and neglecting you."

Summer: it's okay if you don't forgive us, we don't deserve it."

I looked at my Mother and my Father, I then hugged them.

Me: "I forgive you. Both of you."

They was shocked but they smiled nonetheless and hugged back.

After the hug, I told them my farewell and hoped I see them again.

I was walking in a forest, until I saw a giant Alpha Creeper about to attack me until I saw a giant purple man smashed it with one punch into the ground and it faded away.

The purple figure looked at me and said "are you lost young one?"

Me: "no. I ran away from home."

The man looked at me in confusion and asks "why did you ran away?"

I started to tear up and said "my sisters, uncle and aunt abuses and neglects me when my mom and dad aren't looking."

The man frowns and said "how would you like to live with me?"

I looked at him with a giant smile on my face and said "really?" 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩

He smiles and said "yes, I could have some company after my daughters left."

Me: "YES PLEASE!!!!!!!!"

He chuckles and spoke "I like you. You're full of energy."

I blushed in embarrassment.

Me: "my name is (Y/N), what's your name?"

He replied "Thanos."

Me: "Awesome. Is it alright if I can call you dad?"

Thanos: "You may. Now, let's go home."

Dad took me to his spaceship and he told me about his life.

About Titan, about how he caused a big genocide and about how he met Gamora and Nebula.

I maybe a kid but I think Thanos is a person who does the wrong thing for the right reason.

(8 years later, 2018 April 26th, your birthday.)

I was training with dad, after I knocked him off his feet, we had a laugh and we had a chat at dinner.

Thanos(dad): "happy birthday, son."

Me: "Thank you, dad. Um, can I say something please?"

Thanos(dad): "You may."

I took a deep breath and said "I want to be a hero."
