[??? PoV](A year before the beginning of the book)

"When will he wake up?"

"Don' know."

I woke up with a start and saw humans outside my cell.

"Hello!" I said to them cheerfully.

"Hi idiot. It's testing time so, get over here," the guard snapped at me.

"Ok!" I responded

I just want to go home, I thought I got thrown into the testing room. I saw two abominations in there. They were two abominations I'd never seen before, and the other was someone I'd never thought I'd see ever again.

"Butterfly!" I called to my wife just to get a taser in my back(Quicklight A/N: For info butterfly was in the abomination facility before but she escaped and got caught again). I saw butterfly swell up with anger as I winced. Then the speakers came on.

"Butterflywing and Blossom, you will be on one side. Insanity and Knife you two will be on the other side. The simulation will end when one of the team members are severely injured or dead. Ready. Set. Go!"

The area became a forest with lots of shadows.

Insanity got on top of Butterfly and was trying to pin her down. I was distracted so I didn't see the shadows moving.

It all happened so fast I didn't get to react.

"I'm not sorry...Blossom."

My whole body was in pain in a heartbeat. I looked down and saw a knife in my chest

"Blossom!" I heard Butterfly call as I dropped to the floor.

"Goodbye...my love" were my last words before everything went black.

[Butterflywing PoV] (back to the present)

I looked at my nightstand and saw a photo of blossom and my eyes well up with tears.

I had to look away to avoid crying.
