Third Person's Pov~
Three Months... three months since the Eternal Night threatened everything. Three months since Gunmar's death. Three Months since Sonya, Jim, Draal, Claire, and Blinky, along with many others left Arcadia in search of a new Heartstone.
They traveled by night almost exclusively and found shelter during the day. Whether it was digging scrapes and burrows themselves, hiding in sewage drains or even on the backs of idle trucks. The trolls always were keen when it came to finding places to hide from the sun during the day. Sonya on the other hand was a little different.
Since sunlight never affected her, she, and Claire, had taken up the roles of scouts and patrol. They would pace around the area where the trolls slept, to keep them safe, and to ensure they were not threatened.

But right now, the Loboan you all know and love lay asleep under the moon for Blinky had agreed that they could all use a full 24 hours rest before continuing on their journey.  Most trolls shuffled off to go on salvage runs, or find food, but Sonya decided to catch some much-needed shut-eye. She lay under a large oak tree, on her side, her snout gently tucked under one arm. Her big tail giving the occasional flick and quiver.

Not too far away was none other than Draal. The Blue troll was looking up at the moon, his one good hand touching the scar on his chest absent-mindedly. The scar he had gotten from Gunmar that one fateful day.

Draal turned his fire-like eyes to his mate, his love. He could see her flanks rising and falling with soft, calm breath. A loving smile crossing his lips as he watched her sleep, his love for her merely growing every moment he watched her. Over the years they had been together, he noticed Sonya had little mannerisms, like when she was happy her tail would puff up or wag, or if she was concentrated her nose would wriggle in the cutest way.

Draal then made his way over to her,  and gazed into her sleeping expression with nothing but love. Over the last three months, more emeralds had emerged on her fur to show her growth and maturity. Crystals on her shoulders, a small emerald under the corners of her eyes, and two huge diamond-shaped emeralds on her thighs with smaller ones accompanying them.

Draal reached out with his mechanical hand and touched her forehead, his fingers dragging down to her ribs, seeing the scars she had sustained from the battle with Gunmar.

They all had thier scars from that battle.

Draal then leaned down, pressing his nose to her fuzzy cheek. Sonya stirred against his touch, her emerald eyes fluttering open as she looked up at him, "Hmm." She smiled lazily, "Hey, Blue."

Ah. Draal thought lovingly, I cannot beleive I once hated that little pet name. He chuckled, "Hello, Pup." he cupped her snout, "Resting nicely, I hope?"

Sonya let her snout rest in his palm with an amused grin, "Hmm. Nice to sleep knowing nothing will come to kill you." she said with a huff.

Draal shifted positions so he lay beside her, gathering her to him as he gazed into her eyes, "You're beautiful." he said plainly.

Sonya blushed and chuckled, the sound coming out as a little growl. Over the months, Draal had gotten more and more open with his affections, his compliments came more frequently, and he wasn't afraid to nuzzle and kiss her in front of the others.

Angor and Nomura found it appalling. Jim and Claire found it adorable. Blinky was irritated by it,  but happy for them nonetheless.

Anyways, Draal cuddled up to Sonya, taking in the smell of her fur. She smelled of spring, rain, and moss. She smelled of safety and love. He had become addicted to her scent, the smell of that Mahogany pelt was something he always loved. It helped him sleep,  and it was the first thing he smelled when he took that first blissful inhale upon waking up.

Sonya let Draal snuggle up to her, finding it comforting. He smelled of burning wood, rock, and stone. Sonya opened her eyes lazily and looked up at him, smiling gently as she held his hand,  her fingers lacing with his.

"Plagsnork! I told you that is not something you do in public!"

Blinky's frantic tone made them both laugh. Sonya sat up and looked over, seeing Blinky running mad about the space, his four arms flailing like a crazed troll whelp on a sugar high. He shuffled over to Bagdwella and shooed her away from something--most likely something harmless--saying some nonsense.

"Blinkous needs to learn how to relax."  Draal said as he wrapped his arm around Sonya's waist.

Sonya gave a small chortle of amusement as Jim--Trolljim--attempted to calm Blinky down, which only resulted in a small assault of four wildly flailing hands.

Sonya rested her head on his shoulder.  Life was good. Life was really good.
