As I finish singing, I feel tears forming in the corners of my eyes, but I hold them back when I hear footsteps in front of me. I see Creek step into the light, a smirk on his face.

"Your fiancé has 6 hours left to come rescue you, otherwise he'll lose you forever."

"What are you gonna do? Marry me so Branch can't just to spite him?"

"Sort of. You just better hope he gets here in time. Tick Tock, Branch, tick tock."

He then walks back into the shadows, away from me. I start letting my tears fall, because I don't care anymore.
